Dr. Leigh Ledford received her DMD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1998. Subsequently, she opened a private practice in Simpsonville, S.C. During the last 15 years of practice, Dr. Ledford has had the privilege of being taught and exposed to the latest techniques and developments in modern dentistry. Sitting alongside some of the leading cosmetic dentists of our time has been invaluable in the learning process. With many hours of post graduate training in the treatment of Advanced Occlusal Disease and disorders of the Temporal Mandibular Joint (TMJ), she has developed the skills necessary to not only treat minor restorative problems but also to be able to solve more complex restorative and aesthetic challenges.
Drawing on her years of advanced study and practical experience, Dr. Ledford sees each of her patients as unique individuals and treats them with the gentle and considerate care they deserve while providing attractive and functional restorations. This is the excellence her patients have come to expect through her many years of practice.
Dr. Ledford has also received certification from the Triangle Dental Institute after having completed 192 hours of continuing education in the study of Implantology. She is also a member of The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, as well as a member of The Implant Prosthetic Section of the IOCI.
Because service is of great importance to her, she also enjoys volunteering at the Free Medical Clinic of Greenville. She serves on the Foundation Board of the South Carolina Dental Association, is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Dental Association, and The Greenville Dental Society.
Dr. Roberts is a graduate of Clemson University and also a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine. She graduated from MUSC with the highest honors and was first in her class and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Dental Society. Although Dr. Roberts has received many prestigious awards, she feels most humbled by the one she received from her peers. Her classmates in dental school voted her as the Classmate you would most want to be your dentist.
Dr. Roberts appreciates all facets of comprehensive dental care. She takes joy in getting to know her patients. Dr. Roberts is committed to staying current on dental materials and techniques in order to provide the highest quality of care for her patients.
She and her husband, Jordan, have a lovely daughter, Adeline. Together they enjoy spending time with family and friends, and cheering for their Clemson Tigers. On the weekends, she likes to visit local Simpsonville businesses and parks.
Dr. Smith was raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina and graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina where he met his future wife, Jana. After graduating in 1995, he and Jana opened Smith Family Dentistry in Mauldin where they practiced together for almost 25 years. The Drs. Smith have two wonderful children, Connor who will is attending the University of South Carolina and Kylee who is a graduate of Clemson University. Dr. Smiths favorite aspect of practicing dentistry is the long-term relationship he develops with his patients. He wants them to feel as if they are part of his family, not just another dental patient.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family. You can catch them cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks or hanging out with Mickey and friends at Disney World. If you want to get on his good side, start a conversation about anything Star Wars, as he is a massive fan. As a child of the 1980s, he also loves playing classic arcade games from his era and even maintains a small arcade at his home.

Dr. Smith did an amazing job fixing a broken tooth I had and kept me from needing to get a crown. The entire staff at Hillcrest are wonderful. I'm grateful to have them for all my dental needs.

I've had dental challenges for all of my life... as in 60+ years. Hillcrest has been the best experience of all of the various practices I've been seeing over the years. They have done basic cleaning to extensive cosmetic restoration work and it's all been a great experience. I can't recall if I ever had the dentist send me a personal text to check up on me before after a major visit, but that is the level of service I experienced here.

Hi I wanted to share my experience with Hillcrest dental practice. We moved down here over a year ago and needed to find a good dentist for our family both my wife and my mom were referred to this practice my mom has used Dr Roberts. My wife used Dr Ledford she was very satisfied with both of them. My mom is much older and Dr Roberts and her associates were so kind and considerate four times we have been in there since we started. My wife needed a crown and again was extremely pleased with the outcome and the service that you received. I finally went to Dr Roberts and unfortunately knew I had some issues which Dr Robert was very kind and pointing out and explaining everything in a very detailed fashion to me. Yesterday I was there to have two crowns and a cavity done. In all my other dental work I've had done I've always had issues. I have to say this was the most pleasant experience that I've ever had with a dentist. Both Dr Roberts and her assistant Megan we're just so extremely considerate. It was so nice to wake up this morning and realize I don't have to go back to have the work that was done reworked on. Which was the case with my past dentist. All I can say is if anybody is considering this is an excellent group of dentists I don't give them 5 Stars I give them 10 Stars. Also it was very comforting to know that all the work was done all in one time session I didn't have to go in there for them to take an impression and then come back for them to put the crown in everything was done in one afternoon. Again I really like this group they're very kind they're very considerate. Form the receptionist to all the staff they are excellentJust wanted to share my experience. I want to say thank you to Dr Roberts and her staff who are so kind and considerate.

I am the son of a dentist, coming from a literal family tree of dentists, and finally (living far away from all of them) have had to branch out and find a local dentist who is not related to me. On my first visit to the Hillcrest Family office in Simpsonville, as I sat in the waiting room, I witnessed a little child (probably around 5) and his mother who was carrying an infant enter into the office. The little boy ran up to the counter jumping up and down with excitement saying "I get to visit the dentist, I get to visit the dentist today!" I have never seen a child so excited to visit the dentist, and that's basically the experience that I had when I proceeded from the waiting room to the dental chair. Every interaction I had, from the assistants at the front desk to the hygienists, to the expertise and kindness of Dr. Ledford was a wonderful, stress free, and amazing experience. I cannot recommend their office highly enough. Looking forward to going back again soon and bringing my whole family with me.

All the staff are super concerned with your experience and make it as comfortable as possible. They are very thorough and you can get a crown while you wait in the dentist chair rather than make two appointments. Dr Smith even called later to check on me.

Dr. Ledford and her staff are very professional and caring. They provide great dental care. Always a nice experience. As always, my twice annual cleaning appointment at Hillcrest Cosmetic and Family Dentistry was a great experience. They are always very caring and provide excellent dental care. They treat you with respect and like family at the same time. Dr. Smith was thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant. My insurance almost always covers the charges for preventative care. Be there again in 6 months.

I have been going to Hillcrest Dentistry since I moved to Simpsonville five years ago. I now live an hour away and make the drive to retain this fabulous office. From checking in, to cleanings, to procedures, the entire staff is courteous, professional and caring. Top notch all the way.
