Drs. Brien Hill and Tamara Schneidmiller have been setting the highest standards of excellence in dentistry for over three decades! As esteemed members of the dental community, both Dr. Hill and Dr. Schneidmiller are graduates of the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles Dental School. Dr. Brien Hill, a San Diego native, graduated from San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) with a degree in Biology in 1984. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA in 1988. Dr. Hill thoroughly enjoys chatting with patients who consistently compliment him of how well he explains their treatment and what to expect afterwards. He is a past president of the La Mesa Optimist Society and led Bingo games at his childhood church for three years. He currently volunteers as an usher each Sunday at St. Martin of Tours in La Mesa. He provides free dental services to underserved individuals through CDA Cares and feels most proud of his diagnostic skills, which are considerable. An avid cyclist, Dr. Hill can be seen riding on San Diego roads and even local mountain trails.
Dr. Tamara Schneidmiller is also a native San Diegan and attended San Diego State University, where she graduated cum laude in 1985 and was selected to be a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA in 1989. Dr. S especially appreciates working with multiple generations of families and the friends of friends who have referred their buddies to the office. After nearly thirty years as a dentist, she recently retired. However, she is still available to patients to answer many of their questions, assist in treatment planning or even hold a hand! A crafter at heart, Dr. S always has some project in the works; quilting, garment making, beading, painting, etc.
As lead assistant, Angel is popular with all the patients she treats. After many years in the hospitality industry, she will soon celebrate her 7th anniversary as a Registered Dental Assistant with Drs Hill and Schneidmiller. Maybe shes drawn to healthcare because she has 14 brothers and 2 sistersthere always bound to be someone in need! Angel is particularly proud of any procedure that provides pain relief to a patient. Living in San Diegos East County for many years, she enjoys the many aspects of life here: from shopping to car shows to Octoberfest! Angel says she works with Drs Hill and Schneidmiller because they are great dentists; fun, caring and kind.
We like to call her our Hygenius due to her attention to periodontal detail when she performs cleaning treatments. A world traveler, she doubtless has encountered many cultures and levels of dental care, which is probably why she particularly enjoys performing Scale and Root Planing procedures (frequently preventing the need for surgical intervention for those patients). Eva loves San Diego for its diversity and beautiful outdoor locations. Her favorite day off consists of spending time outdoors with her husband and family. She works with Drs Hill and Schneidmiller because they are the most kind and sincere doctors I have worked with. I love how honest and caring they are towards the patients.
Danae is a terrific fit with our established team of dedicated healthcare workers! As a student of science, she quickly adapted to a career in dental hygiene and found it gave her the opportunity to meet new people. Her quick wit has made her a fun addition to the office! One of her goals is to help folks down the path to improved oral and overall health by spending time one-on-one with patients. The people are the best part! Danae likes to stay busy: painting, cooking, learning new languages. She would love a future that includes exploring the world, more time with family and friends, plus LOTS of animals! She chooses to work with Drs Hill and Schneidmiller because they are unfailingly thoughtful, kind and friendly people.
Not only a Registered Dental Assistant (graduating with highest honors), Anette also has an Associates Degree in Psychologywhich comes in handy within a dental office! Her last five years working alongside doctors further enhanced her passion for dentistry, so she is determined to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene as well.
Her journey into dentistry began as a child, sitting in the orthodontists chair. After having braces, I always found teeth fascinating! Anette is well aware of the profound difference it makes to have a healthy smile.
She spends her spare time enjoying her family, friends and her fur-child, Meeko! A true nature-lover, you can always bet on Anette hiking trails around town, away from all the concrete. In fact, her dream life would include living in a country setting here in San Diego. Morning strolls among birds and trees would be the best!
Karens cheery disposition is our most recent addition to your dental team. She has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and an Associates degree in Business Management. She found her way into the health care community and then chose to work with Drs Hill snd Schneidmiller because she is excited to work in a supportive fun atmosphere where I can continue to learn and grow.
Karen complimented Hill and Schneidmiller DDS by saying she was looking for ways to expand her knowledge in health care and has learned more with them during training than her previous employment in total!
The doctors are lucky to have Inas directing the front desk operations! She naturally enjoys working with numbers, making her an excellent advocate for dental patients with dental insurance. The complexities of dental insurance are daunting for anyone but Inas curious nature only assists her to smooth out insurance hardships.
She earned Bachelors degree in the Arts and is a perpetual reader. Inas favorite free time activity is to dive into a novel or book of poetry. In fact, one of her dreams is to write her own novel! Someday she would love to travel to archeological sites and let her curiosity lead her down historical pathways.
Inas quickly chose to work with Drs Hill and Schneidmiller after meeting their team and reading about the healthy work environment. She is most impressed with how the entire team at Hill and Schneidmiller DDS works together toward their common goal of optimal patient care.
