Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

If I could select zero stars, I would. And this is coming from a long time patient. Take my advice - confirm with your dental insurance that the fees you are being charged for dental services here are in fact the appropriate amount. Hill Country Dentists has been mine and my husband's dental provider for several years now. After a recent check up and cleaning, I was given a $2000 treatment plan by the office manager, Jenny. When I raised an eyebrow and said that sounds awfully expensive for the work I need done and can we double check these figures, I didn't realize I would be unleashing 3 months of back and forth nonsense that would eventually go nowhere. My dental insurance has spoken to the office manager and informed her that the fees they are charging me are incorrect. The work I need done should cost no more than $450. Not $2000. That's a $1500 discrepancy that I expect Hill Country Dentists to at least TRY to explain. They are not interested in advocating for their long time patient or concerned about getting to the bottom of a $1500 discrepancy. And because I've had to deal with my dental insurance so frequently over the past few months, it's come to our attention that my husband and I have likely been overcharged for multiple other services rendered by Hill Country Dentists over the years. My insurance provider has shown me how I can file a complaint/investigation about past charges and I will be doing just that. Double check those fees and ask questions! Their staff has treated me like an inconvenience. They implied that I forged a pre-authorization that came directly from my dental insurance. And when I started asking for accountability, the dentist, Dr. Archung, said he was uncomfortable continuing to have me as a patient. HE is uncomfortable? The only people who should be uncomfortable in this situation are me and my husband. I'm uncomfortable knowing that I've likely been overcharged thousands of dollars by this place. I'm uncomfortable now that I need to go find a new provider and start from scratch on dental services that I NEEDED done in July. I'm uncomfortable knowing that this is how they treat patients who ask for clarification and accountability.

Super pleased with everything about this dentistry practice! Friendly front desk staff, Dr. Harris is AWESOME and his assistants (Yolanda, Michelle) equally great. I dislike dental work but this experience gives me confidence to come back for maintenance and work needed. Also, dental work can be expensive and I'm a stickler for price comparing and getting multiple opinions. Hill Country is competitive and for some procedures BETTER priced than others. A+, HIGHLY recommend!

Trying to find a dentist around my area and first time calling this place get a rude receptionist, which is the last thing I need since I'm struggling with a painful toothache as we speak. She said she needed to write down my info to sign me up as a new patient. The whole time she was rushing me and sighing, I should've hung up but I didn't. Mind you I told her about the tooth pain but clearly she didn't care. She asked for my email and as I was telling her she says" I don't know what you said d or r whatever what is the letter again? I was like do you need me to repeat it from the beginning? Then she let out a big sigh lol I was done at that point just said to her "I don't like your attitude I'll take my business elsewhere" and I hung up. New patients matter too. I was cooperating the whole time but with that kind of first impression, who needs it? I'll look elsewhere thanks.

This dental practice has recently been taken over by a new group of professionals. Dr. Archung is great. Very nice, patient, caring. The new hygenist, Fariba is AWESOME! so caring and gentle when doing my dental work. I was nervous and everyone made me feel at ease!

I was overcharged by $945.00 for work done in May 2021. I suspected that the charges were too high. This was verified by Delta Dental, my dental insurance company through the State of Texas. When I notified Hill Country Dentists, they refused to return my call. I filed a grievance with ERS and Delta Dental. It is under review. I recommend everyone check your statements for irregularities. I am strongly recommending that they be audited. I'm sure I'm not the only one that are not victims of insurance fraud.

Dr Devin Harris did an excellent job! It had been quite a while since I had seen the dentist and I was admittedly nervous. Plus, I was extra cautious given COVID-19. He and the support staff excelled on all levels. I left feeling safe, healthy and my teeth feeling clean! I am excited for my 6-month. Well done Hill Country Dentists!

Wonderful group of people here. I normally have anxiety over getting X-ray but this time it was was fast and efficient. Dr. Harris explains everything he is going to do. He was very thorough with the exam. Gave me some good advice on my oral care. I love my new dentist.

I always disliked hill country dentists, but I didn't realize just how bad this clinic was until I changed dentists. It felt rushed, like they weren't paying attention to my problems, or treating me with gentle care. Their practice feels more performative than medical to me. I recommend finding a more human-oriented and less cash-oriented business. Yolanda was an exception though, she did her job well.
