Dr. Ankit K. Patel grew up in Birmingham, AL and graduated from Homewood High School. Following high school, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with University Honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Biology. During his time in college, he was active in various leadership roles including the UAB Ambassadors and Leadership Service Council and received the Mr. UAB award in 2005.

Dr. Patel completed dental school at UAB and his Advanced General Dentistry Residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospitals in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. He then practiced dentistry in Madison, AL where he diligently expanded his dental education and clinical skills while working at a well-structured and caring office. In 2020, he moved to Georgia to pursue the next level in his career and felt at home in Cartersville.

Dr. Patel is described as kind, compassionate, attentive, and more than willing to go the extra mile. He is excited to deliver the high quality that patients expect and want as he guides them towards lasting oral health through his philosophy of Prevent, Restore, and Maintain.

During his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and son, being close with his family, attending continuing education classes, enjoying outdoor activities, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.

Pam is our Office Administrator and has been with our practice since it opened in 2021. Her earlier years were spent in corporate dentistry as a Regional Call Center Manager before she transitioned to our office. Pam was born and raised in Cartersville and loves contributing to the hometown feel of the office, helping the community recognize Highlands Point Dental as the 'go-to family dentist in town'.

Pams most rewarding part of her role here is helping change the smiles and self-confidence of patients that become part of our dental family. Pam is married and has four children, five grandchildren, and a grandbaby on the way. When relaxing outside of the office, Pam enjoys spending time outdoors, swimming, and going on weekend trips.

Kimberly has played a role in the healthcare field for many years. She transitioned into the dental profession in 2006 as a surgical assistant for an oral and maxillofacial practice. As her passion for dentistry grew, she realized that she wanted to treat and educate patients of all ages on the importance of their oral health.

Kimberly earned her baccalaureate with honors in dental hygiene from Georgia Highlands College. As a dental hygienist, Kimberly places value in patient relationships, compassion, and setting a high standard for quality care. Kimberly is a native of Woodstock and currently resides in Cartersville with her husband, three boys and two dogs. They enjoy living life to the fullest.

Blair is a hygienist here at Highlands Point Dental. She recently graduated from Georgia Highlands College and is finishing her bachelors in dental hygiene in May. Blair is also a Hinman Scholar and a Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler awardee. Her favorite parts of her job are working with family-like co-workers at Highland Point Dental, educating patients about their oral care, and seeing the results their education brings.

Blair is originally from Blue Ridge, GA but currently resides in Cartersville, GA. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she and her boyfriend enjoy taking their Goldendoodles on hikes.

Shannon assists in the front office and clinical area for Highlands Point Dental. Before making her transition to the dental field, her early career was spent in the medical field working directly with patients. The most rewarding part of her work at Highlands Point Dental is seeing her patients leave happier and smiling bigger than before they came into the office. Shannon is so grateful to be a part of such a great team, who have now become more like family.
