Following a visit to the dentists office in the second grade, Dr. Shadi decided that shetoowould become a dentist. When she informed her family of this at the ripe age of seven, they were amused. Little did they know where her determination would take her!
After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS),Dr. Shadi completed a three-year pediatric dentistry residency at Tufts Dental School and Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, where she excelled at advanced behavior management techniques, conscious sedation, limited orthodontics, and working with special-needs patients. Upon completing her training, she and her family relocated to Washington to be closer to family and friends.
Dr. Shadi is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society. She is licensed by the State of Washington as a specialist in pediatric dentistry:
Dr. Mariella Garcia obtained her DDS degree in Lima, Peru followed by a two-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry, at the University of Connecticut. She joined the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics in 2008. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mariella enjoys living in the Northwest with her husband Brian and daughter Sophia.
Day-to-Day, you will find Loc tending to the daily office operations for our office, providing treatment care, resolving insurance claims, questions and assisting where needed. She have been in the dental industry for over 9+ years and expanded all aspects of the dental field. Loc have joined Highlands Kids Dentistry in 2011 and love the positive energy felt by everyone and really appreciate the attentive care our doctors and team strive to provide.
When she is not at the office, Loc enjoys seeing clients for Permanent Makeup and Microblading. She loves to learn new things and enjoys her time traveling all around the world with her newlywed husband, family and friends.
Karen had always wanted to get into the dental field prior to working in the restaurant industry and was given a perfect opportunity to step her foot into the dental world. In this new position, she welcomes new patients into the practice, coordinates and explains treatment to all patients, and answer questions for scheduling and insurance. She gets great joy in assisting patients and forming new life long relationships.
Heather has been working as a chairside Dental Assistant for over 2 years at Highlands Kids Dentistry and been in the dental industry for over 6 years. She believes that every day is a new experience, working with all different types of personalities and handling with care.
Ari had begun her journey as a Dental Administratorwith Highlands Kids Dentistry and wanted to futher her career as aDental Assist to helping children's understand the importance of their dental hygiene.Prior to working in the Dental field, she coached kids basketball and found a passion working with kids.Her time there has helped her broaden her compassion and patience towards every individual needs.
Liz started working at a daycare her senior year of high school and knew right away that working with kids is what she desired. She pursued her career path as a Dental Assistant and graduated from Charter College in 2016.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and boyfriend. She loves hiking and going on road trips. Over the last few years, anything country has been her favorite things- Such as line dancing, two step dances and country concerts.
Sarah had persued her career in dental assisting over 4+ years. With many styles of dentistry, Sarah was able to adapt to learn the different techniques.With her gentle touch and friendly chairside manner, this helps patient feel more comfortable and relaxed during their treatment.

Dr.shadi is an amazing dentist who worked very gently with my daughter, she did not cry or feel any discomfort as Dr.Shadi was extremely patient and took the extra time. I highly recommend this clinic!

Dr.Shadi is a very professional dentist who takes her time to make her patients feel comfortable and welcomed. My son was able to transition very well into his first dental experience and I am very happy it was with Dr.Shadi!

This clinic is by far an amazing place to take your kids for their dental procedures, Dr.Shadi is very kind and creates a friendly environment for kids to feel comfortable in. My son had a very smooth experience at this clinic and on top of everything is was a very tidy and clean clinic, which I find to be very important.

Amazing experience for my Son at highland Density. Dr Shadi is brilliant and really looked after him, walking him through the process with Invisalign, and helped align his teeth for the perfect smile. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Dr Shadi till date, but today we had a different experience with another dentist in that Clinic. Today, the doctor was unpleasant with my little one, who was not steady on the chair. My wife had to reminder herself -"if it was Kids Dentistry?".

Really really busy dental the dentist really amazing but the front desk employees I would say because it is too busy they are not really feeling respectful and friendly for us first visit, We have a lots dental experience so definitely think that is not make people feeling well, even we know you guys are busy but still need talk more to make us feeling good... overall is okay for me now

The team is very warm, friendly and accommodating. Dr Shadi Araghi is amazing, she had such a kind demeanor, is super friendly and so efficient. My 4 and 7 year old nieces were instantly put at ease during radiographs, examination and cleanings. They trusted Dr Araghi completely and also want to come back for further appointments. Just had my daughter's first appointment there and it was amazing. The staff was so welcoming, the waiting area was adorable and the dentist was so sweet. Overall, I'm so happy we found this place. We will never go anywhere else!

I had to switch insurance plans and made sure my new policy would work here. I love this place as they are constantly dealing with overworked parents and are so kind about rescheduling and sending reminders. My kids love this place with all the toys, prizes, games and movies. They do great work :)

My son has been asking to visit the dentist. The Highlands Dentistry team make him comfortable, let him watch a favorite movie, and give him prizes when they have finished. The warmth, reassurance and patience offered by the team keep us coming back.

My son is 3 and this was his second time going. He loves it and wants to brush his teeth because the staff is so nice and friendly. My daughter has not liked the visit either time we have went because she is 23 months. The staff is so understanding and nice and make it as quick and gentle as possible. I would highly recommend this dentist and staff.
