Dr. Tina Lalangas was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her passion for dentistry started at an early age after experiencing first hand how dentistry and orthodontics can transform not only your smile, but also your self confidence! She graduated from The Hockaday School and then went off to study at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. After graduating with honors from GWU, she returned to Dallas to attend Baylor College of Dentistry. She excelled in dental school and was named The Eleanor Bushee Senior Woman Dental Student of her graduating class. Dr. Lalangas is still very passionate about education and is a member of The Kois Center for Dental Excellence, which is a post-doctoral teaching institution committed to advancing dentistry through science. She is also pursing her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Lalangas resides in Richardson with her loving husband Gavin and their two beautiful daughters Phoebe and Tessa. They are active members at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and invite you to the annual Greek Food Festival of Dallas where you can find her and her husband volunteering behind a food booth, as well as see her daughters Greek dancing on stage in traditional Greek village attire! Weekends are filled with soccer games, gymnastics, birthday parties...basically any and all childhood activities! She and her husband love to get away to the mountains once a year for fresh air and cooler temps, and enjoy spending as much time outside with their girls as Texas weather permits. She looks forward to meeting all of you soon!

At Highlands Family Dentistry, we provide clear braces throughout the Dallas area. Straight teeth are important for your overall oral health. When teeth are crooked, they can become stained and infected more easily. By straightening teeth, we can improve your appearance and decrease the risk of getting cavities at the same time. We can also address issues that you may have with your jaw by aligning your bite. Clear braces are truly a comprehensive way and discreet way to address oral health concerns.

We understand that while many people want to have straighter teeth, many teens and adults are uncomfortable with the traditional metal braces on their teeth for more than one year. While they are not as discreet as people wish, metal braces are an effective tool for straightening teeth. The procedure works by placing a metal bracket onto the surface of each tooth and running a wire through those brackets. It is impossible not to notice when someone is wearing traditional metal braces. While the treatment works, it can also negatively impact a persons' appearance while doing so. This has led many people to seek out a better option, one that we provide.

At Highlands Family Dentistry, we offer clear alternatives for adults and teens the greater Dallas area. We can straighten teeth and move them into the perfect position so the patient has a beautiful and radiant straight smile. If you have crooked teeth, unsightly gaps between your teeth or a misaligned bite, then we can help to correct these issues and more. Clear braces work just as effectively as metal braces but with some major improvements. Clear braces are much more difficult to notice, making them ideal for busy professionals, teens and those that do not want to negatively impact their current appearance during the process.

There are several types of clear and barely visible options to choose. One operates similarly to traditional metal braces where we place a bracket onto each tooth and thread a wire between the brackets. The difference is that instead of being made out of metal, the brackets for clear braces consists of a tooth-colored resin that blends in with the natural tooth. The wire is also tooth-colored so that the braces themselves are almost invisible and difficult to see. We find that this solution works well for teens and adults that are able to practice proper dental hygiene with the clear braces. Otherwise, food can stain the brackets. This solution is an excellent alternative to traditional braces and is just as effective at addressing all oral health concerns.

Clear braces also come in the form of aligners. Clear aligners look like a full retainer that surrounds the teeth and are worn on the upper and lower teeth. Aligners are more convenient to wear than metal braces since patients can remove them when necessary. One of the major concerns that people have with wearing braces is that they do not come off until the treatment is complete. If, for example, you get braces then decide to get married, you will either have braces in your wedding pictures or need to pay to remove them and reinstall them after. Simultaneously, if you have a big presentation at work and want to impress a client, your braces cannot come off for the meeting. This leaves many adults apprehensive about committing to a two-year treatment plan. We understand that appearance is important for more than vanity. It impacts your ability to create a professional image and retain your own self-image. As a Dallas provider of clear braces and aligners, we make it so that you do not have to compromise your appearance or lifestyle while straightening teeth; aligners are a key component of that.

We treat both teens and adults and understand that both can benefit from similar treatment options. While children may not be able to wear clear braces, teens can wear clear braces if they take proper care of them. The main difference between clear braces for teens and adult braces, is that teens may need to use their aligners for a longer period of time. With such a busy schedule, we expect teens to remove their aligners more frequently to do things like play sports.

If the idea of wearing clear braces intrigues you, it may be time to talk to your dentist about getting treatment. Children and adults can experience an assortment of cosmetic challenges with their teeth. Instead of living with these issues, you can repair your smile and feel good about your appearance. Understand the advantages of

Dental implants offer individuals the opportunity to regain a fully functioning set of teeth. The aftercare procedures are imperative to ensure the surgical area heals and implant osseointegration occurs. Osseointegration is the process by which the bone in the jaw fuses with the implant posts. This creates the solid foundation needed to support the apparatus.

Clear aligner devices, like Invisalign, are often a preferable tooth alignment solution for many dental patients. Features like removability and transparency make them better apparatuses for many people to use. Today, there are many clear aligner options available to patients all over the world. Each kind of clear aligner offers many benefits over using traditional

Many dentists refer to dental implants as the permanent tooth replacement option, and while this descriptor is not necessarily inaccurate, it is not completely true, either. The longevity of a dental implant depends on several factors, including a patients oral health, lifestyle habits, dental hygiene practices, and diet, to name a few. Patients who are

I switched dentists to find something a little closer to home and, after only 1 visit, I decided to go back to former dentist. I was disappointed with just about everything at this office. I went in for a cleaning. They barely cleaned and said I would need to come back for the full cleaning and spent most of an hour trying to sell me on cosmetic treatments - even after telling them I wasn't interested. The receptionist was pretty rude too. Just didn't get a good feeling and seemed like they didn't care about patients at all.

So happy this practice opened in LH. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now. Which says a lot as I have high anxiety when it comes to going. The front office is really awesome too. Every part of the practice is incredibly professional.

Receptionist Mia is sweet and helpful, I was lucky I got last minute cancellation, otherwise I need to wait till November 2022. For the insurance verification, you need to call your insurance to get the group number and the claim mailing address otherwise they wouldn't schedule you. I pay out for pocket for total $507, 2 filling $168 , night guard $339. The clinic using the latest 3D scan for new patient and also 3D scan for the custom night guard mold. Clinic Is very clean and the staff is polite. Dr. Tina was skillful, she will explain every steps what's she is doing, zero pain and relaxing. They got a huge tv on the ceiling too.
