At Highland Pediatric Dentistry, all our employees are kid experts. We understand that some children are apprehensive about the dentist. Our office is designed with kids in mind by featuring soothing colors, a fun waiting room, and a relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Stokes is a proud Fayetteville native. She earned a Zoology degree at North Carolina State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College. Dr. Stokes completed her residency and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland. Dr. Stokes and her husband, Judge Stephen C. Stokes, together have four children and two grandchildren. She is active in the community and has served on numerous community boards and foundations.

Dr. Bridgers is from Hobgood, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. Dr. Bridgers earned her Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with the highest honors from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Bridgers joined Highland Pediatric Dental in 2012. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, cooking, and photography.
There is no job Id rather be doing than what I do., and there is no better staff with which to do it. Ive been practicing pediatric dentistry in Fayetteville since 1975 after some time in the Navy. Guiding an apprehensive child (and their mom and dad) successfully through a dental visit is a joy.
I have degrees from Miami University (Bachelor of Arts), The Ohio State University (Doctor of Dental Surgery), and the University of North Carolina (Master of Science in Pedodontics). I taught pediatric dentistry at UNCs dental school biweekly for over 20 years.
Nakia moved to NC in 1994. She graduated from Seventy First High School and later attended Fayetteville Technical Community College graduating in 1997 and has been in the dental field for 22 years. Nakia and her husband enjoy traveling with their daughter to dance competitions and performances and spending free time with family and friends.
Rita graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 2007. She earned her Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and has been in the dental field for 12 years. Rita is married with two sons. She enjoys shopping and cooking with new recipes.
Suzie graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College. She has been at Highland Pediatric Dental since 1985, loves working with children, and watching them grow up. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, volunteering at church, gardening, and cooking.
Markie is from Southern Colorado. She studied dental assisting at a small local college and moved to North Carolina with her husband. Markie has been at Highland Pediatric Dental since 2019. She enjoys working with children because it brightens her day. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, yoga, and spending time with her husband and pets
Sahara is a Certificate Dental Assistant, she graduated from Seventy First High School and later attended FTCC where she earned a certificate in dental assisting. She has worked with Highland Pediatric since graduating in 2014. Sahara loves working with children and teaching them the importance of oral hygiene. In her spare time she enjoys spending time wit her children, going to the beach, and riding four wheeler
