Dr. Ishbel Nieves was born and raised in Puerto Rico and has resided in Lake County, Fl since 2008. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology with an emphasis in Human Anatomy from the University of Puerto Rico in 2003. In 2007 Dr. Nieves graduated from the University of Puerto Rico: School of Dental Medicine obtaining a Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
After her graduate studies, Dr. Nieves moved to Gainesville, Florida to pursue a General Practice Residency certificate from the Malcolm Randall, VA Medical Center. It was during this program that Dr. Nieves had the opportunity to work with medically compromised dental patients as well as widen her knowledge in several areas of general dentistry and diagnosis and treatment of oral-facial pain.
Dr. Ishbel Nieves lives in Groveland, Fl with her husband Erik, she enjoys kayaking, running, and reading. Dr. Nieves believes that their active participation in continuing education courses will allow her to provide the latest in dental treatment to her patients. She enjoys educating each patient and allowing the patient to participate in the decision-making process.
Chenessa grew up in Minnesota before making the move to sunny Florida in 2003. She then graduated from Valencia College with her AS degree in Dental Hygiene in 2014. Chenessa's passion for dental hygiene shows in her commitment to patient comfort, ensuring a gentle, yet thorough cleaning, tending to each patient's needs. Her favorite part of dental hygiene is knowing that her patients leave the office feeling happy, relaxed, and confident. She understands not everyone may enjoy a visit to the dentist as much as she does, but given the opportunity, if she can change just one patient's perspective, change one patient's experience from a negative one to a positive and carefree one, well then, she can rest easy! Outside of dental hygiene, Chenessa also enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter, and her friends. She looks forward to going on vacations, or 'stay-cations', here in Florida with them, catching thrills at the theme parks, or just cuddling up on the couch to watch a movie with her loved ones, their family dog, Einstien and their cat, Luna.
Jennifer was born and raised in New York. I started to work in the dental field right out of High school while attending Marymount College. In my early 20's I moved to Spain where I met my husband and had two beautiful kids. In 2012 I moved to Florida where I started working with Dr. Nieves shortly afterward. In the fall of 2018, we added a new addition to our family, Simba, a cocker spaniel poodle mix, who has brought so much joy and love to our house. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.
I was born in San Juan Puerto Rico. Study an Associate degree in Secretarial Sciences in the CUTB of PR. I love physical activities so I took a training Group Coach and Personal Trainer. My Favorite hobbies are outdoor activities. I Am a proud mother of two wonderful children and I have a husband who has accompanied me for the past 17 years. I Came to the United States about a year ago to look for new opportunities for myself and my family and explore new horizons. I'm not afraid of changes because that's what life is all about. I like to make the most of all the challenges and my life sentence is; 'Whatever you do, do it with your heart.'
Over the years, Marie has worked in every position in the front office and as a dental assistant in both corporate and private environments, where she discovered the benefits and challenges of each type of practice. She has over 21 yrs. of experience in the dental field including starting a new office, as well as re-organizing established practices. Currently, as Front Desk Manager, she is dedicated to serving all your insurance needs from verifying and maximizing your benefits to helping you understand how they will work together. She earned her BS in Science from the University of Puerto Rico. She enjoys music, reading, swimming, and time with her family.

Extremely pleasant office to visit, with great care taken for the patient's comfort and safety. Everyone on staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful Oh, and extremely patient! Whenever I leave the office, not only do I want to smile because my teeth feel so clean and shiny, but I feel comfortable and happy as well. Can you say that after YOUR dental appointment? If you can't, call Highland Lakes Dental. Actually, call them anyway - they'll save you money too!!

Excellent Leesburg dentist with a proactive front desk (scheduled me to come early because the dentist was going to be away on my 6-month appointment). Outstanding hygienists who really take care to do a thorough and gentle cleaning. Doctor Nieves has put together a successful dental practice in Lake County!

I enjoyed my visit to Highland Lakes Dental. The staff was friendly and professional. I was a new patient and received an examine and x-rays, along with having my teeth cleaned. All the steps were explained to me. During the examine, my mouth was checked for any signs of mouth cancer. I have never had a dentist do that before and I was impressed. I feel good about the visit and look forward to my next appointment.

This place is an absolute joke. The staff is unfriendly and short, you can tell all they care about is getting your money. Don't recommend! Give your money to someone that cares about you.

Andrea was a lovely young lady and a wonderful Dental Hygienist. The Dr. listened to my concerns, Bianca at the front desk worked up a treatment plan in no time at all. I left the dentist office-smiling. (Literally!)

I've been a patient of Dr. Nieves for many years. I've never had a better dentist & her team in my life! Dr. Nieves is an excellent, knowledgeable dentist and very gentle in what she does. Her team is also very knowledgeable and work with her in a professional manner like I've never seen before. I highly recommend Highland Lakes Dental! I can't see myself going anywhere else ever!

What a wonderful dental office. Light, spacious, clean and friendly. I have incredible fear of all dental procedures. I also have a very small mouth. Dr Nieves' ONLY uses pediatric size X-raysa. The Dental Assistanl, Kathy was VERY sweet, competent and caring. She put me at ease immediately. She took her time, too. So, the two times I gagged, she backed off and we started overThe Doctor herself, was again SO nice and competent. We reviewed my treatment plan, and I feel oddly confident about going back to have the work done. Obviously, I can't say enough nice things about them !

To be honest I've had a much better experience at my previous dentist office. To begin, the dentist herself is okay, I think she needs to work on admitting when she messes up, apologize amd move forward with correcting it. There was an issue with my filling and I had to go back to the office. The dentist seemed a little irritated because of her own imperfections. Needless to say she did fix the problem, but never once an apology. Then, there's a receptionist there (who's name makes me want to vomit) she makes the place look bad. She is rude, lazy and stuck up. And trust me, she has absolutely nothing to be stuck up about! The rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful, especially Marie! Moreover, I will not be wasting anymore of my money there!

Like most people, I am not a big fan of the dentist office but this office is absolutely wonderful. I now actually enjoy going as they all make you feel comfortable no matter what procedure I have had done.
