Welcome to Highland Dental, located in Smyrna, GA. Our office specializes in general and cosmetic dentistry. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Michael Nguyen has helped many patients obtain their ultimate dental goals. At his state-of-the-art practice, he treats patients throughout the Metro Atlanta area.
Our office is always accepting new dental patients and we pride ourselves on providing a personalized experience for each patients needs. Current patients compliment our office on its welcoming dental spa atmosphere as well as our unique amenities to maximize patient comfort and relaxation. We offer patients Bose noise-cancelling headphones and each operatory room is equipped with a flat panel TV. Whatever your need or desire you can be sure youve come to the right place. Dr. Michael Nguyen is committed to providing optimal dental care to patients and has completed numerous advanced training courses in all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Nguyen treats each patient with integrity and is devoted to providing high-quality care with an emphasis on patient comfort.
Mike graduated from Devry University in 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering. He has worked in the dental field for 14years. His compassion for patients and their care is his main focus in the office. Mike enjoys health living and cooking. When he is not at work he loves spending time with his family and working out at the gym.
Deanna graduated from Osborne High School. She attended Dental Careers Institute, and loves working with patients to help them maintain a wonderful smile. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with friends, catch up on favorite t.v. shows, and going to Zumba with her mom. She also enjoys singing, and composing her own music.
Huan graduated with a bachelor degree in biology at Georgia State University. He has been a dental assistant for over 14years and enjoys drifting, cooking exotic food, and fishing in his spare time. He is also a dental lab technician.
Hi, my name is Kristin, I have been a Dental Assistant for 6 yrs, and in the past yr I have learned what it takes to be a receptionist. I love every second of helping people reach their smile expectations. When I have free time I love spending time with family, friends, and expescially my best friend to whom I have been married to for 3 years now.
I am the latest addition to Highland dental. I moved to Atlanta from Warner Robins 2 years ago. I have been a hygienist since 2008. I love what I do and enjoy the fun atmosphere and the great people here at Highland dental. When I am not giving people healthier smiles I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

This is the best dentist office. I had a pretty bad chipped front tooth and I was in and out in less than an hour and you cannot even tell it broke! It looks amazing. The staff is so kind and the dentist does excellent work. Highly recommend.

Visited the office for my first time because of a molar that was causing me severe pain. Dr. Nguyen and his staff were extremely friendly and professional. They were able to let me know exactly what going on with the tooth, provided their recommendation, and gave me a referral to an oral surgeon. The office is clean, well lit, and in a convenient location. They also have Saturday hours which is great. I will definitely be back and would surely recommend this office to anyone.

In August of this year, I was looking for a new Dentist in my area near my home. I found Highland Dental. They had a few negative reviews, but much more positive ones, you can't please everyone, so I decided on them. At my first appointment we discussed my treatment. They were letting me know what work was needed. I know I needed 2 fillings, yet they only focused on the more "expensive" procedures such as an extraction, and potential implant. They performed the the cleaning, and a week later at my next appointment, performed the extraction. I was told to have an appointment three months later for further treatment. My "filling" was not treated at all. On my 3 month scheduled appointment, the only discussion the dental assistant had with me was about an implant procedure, nothing else was addressed. I have very good insurance. It was explained that 1 implant ranged to around $4000 dollars completely out of "pocket". I explained that, my insurance should cover a portion of the procedure. The assistant stated, that was possible and that they would contact my insurance to confirm and contact me within an hour. That was November 11, 2021. To this date, Highland Dental has not contacted me at all. Yet when I had an "upcoming" appointment, I received updates daily. It is apparent that Highland Dental only concern themselves with expensive dental procedures and very little actual "patient" care. I strongly advise anyone to find a better, more caring dental office when searching for a new Dentist.

After four to five years of consistently going to highland dental and the thousands I've spent out of pocket for there services, the discrepancies in which I've endured in the past year with the staff as it pertains to my insurance makes absolutely no sense. If your facility checks insurance every six months then why would you approve my regular scheduled cleaning the day before your so called screening of insurance, and then don't have the decency to call, text or send an email to notify a loyal customer about said situation instead they waited until showed up. Then imply that I would have to pay out of pocket for something that's covered under my insurance. The lack of professionalism as well as the lack of communication was the last straw for me.

I had a horrible experience at another dentist office and I came in to this one after not having any dental care for about 3 years. I had several cavities. The staff here made me feel very comfortable. Also my front teeth had cavities where my gums were receding it always made me feel very self conscious, now I have fillings and the top is the same color as my gums. I am very happy with the way it looks.

Dr Michael has taken wonderful, conscientious care of my wife & me for many years. We think nothing of driving from Canton to see him. His gentle way & his knowledgeable care are obvious from the moment you are placed in his hands. I cannot say enough great things about Dr Michael & his staff. If he is accepting new patients, then see it as an opportunity!

The best! I got my wisdom tooth removed(extraction) today and it literally took 5 seconds I was so nervous and I stayed up all night reading the reviews and the reviews don't lie he is the best. The staff was nice and Dr.Nguyen was straight to the point. I was in and out I didn't feel anything!! If youre nervous don't be you are in good hands!

I cannot praise Highland Dental enough. The staff is so friendly, helpful, personal. Dr. Mike is great. Let me tell you, I've always been SO terrified of going to the dentist. Huan and Morgan always are sweet and calm my nerves. I was extremely nervous and had many dental issues to address. I've gone multiple times throughout the last 2 years so much that it almost feels like a second home now lol. Every time, they are accommodating and kind. I am not ever nervous to go now because I know Dr. Mike and his team will take care of me. He is always there when I need him to assist. Seriously, if you need a dentist, go to Highland Dental!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars. Thank you for everything, Dr. Mike and team!

It's sad I have to leave one star when there's not an option for zero. This specific dental office is a SCAM! Please do your research and go to another dentist after seeing them. They will literally lie and tell you you'll need additional services that are unnecessary just to make extra money. I went in just for a simple regular cleaning, and after I was done the blonde lady told me to come in for my next appointment for refills. They told me I had over 5 cavities. After my X-ray they didn't even explain why. I went to get half of them done and had to pay out of pocket before being billed to my insurance. I received my explanation of benefits and wasn't suppose to pay that amount. As frustrating as I was, I went to another dental office which I should of did in the first place. They told me I only had 1 cavity, and I didn't have to pay out of pocket with the same insurance I used for the first one. What a joke of a dental office this is. It should be taken down, and all of them need to be fired! They lied to me and took my money. Never again!

I had an awesome experience today. I had an excruciating toothache that required immediate attention. I called Highland Dentist at 7:10 a.m. and received an appointment at 8:15 a.m. The facility was very clean and the receptionist was super friendly and professional. Doctor Mike and his assistant Morgan was very compassionate and knowledgeable. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable and explained in great detail my treatment. My experience was painless and on top of that very affordable. I am so happy I have found a local dentist that I will receive all of my future services. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I love Doctor Mike Nguyen. He is very humble, polite and yet very knowledgeable. He provides excellent service and always listens to my concerns and gives thoughtful responses. His staff is very respectful and polite. His office is clean and presentable but not ridiculously so lavish that I wonder what I'm actually paying for. I feel like I get very good value for his prices for service. I recommend all my friends and family within driving distance to use him for their Dentistry needs. And so far, everyone has also been very pleased with him. I definitely recommend doctor Mike Nguyen.

Best dental experience Ever!From the time I walked in the door until I lefted,Just great customer service omg!!!!!!I was referred out to an oral surgery and was told to come back as soon as I get my biz taken care .I will definitely b back...The entire staff was nice,friendly ,very caring and concerned about my oral care.The dentist assured me after I come back,he will do anything that is needed to make me have a beautiful smile.Thanks so much all of u!!!!!!5 Stars ALWAYS....

I'm having the best experience of my life at Highland Dental. Last week I had an abscessed tooth and they saw me in two hours as a new patient! Everyone was so concerned about my pain. This week I went back in for all new dentures. I had the impressions done and Dr. Mike even measured my bite! Who knew that could be done? Maybe that's why none of my other dentures have ever fit and always hurt. I'm hoping I can go out to lunch with coworkers! Once my new dentures are ready I'm having my last four teeth pulled! Everyone has treated me like a Princess. Dr. Mike is definitely my Dentist for the rest of my life! Can't recommend him and his staff highly enough!

I love Doctor Mike Nguyen. He is very humble, polite and yet very knowledgeable. He provides excellent service and always listens to my concerns and gives thoughtful responses.
