Our practice philosophy focuses on providing the highest quality of care in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Garrison and Dr. Kempema provide a wide range of services from regular check-ups to restorative care.
Born and raised in southern Wisconsin, Dr. Garrison and her family are active, committed members of the Fort Atkinson community. After receiving her undergraduate and DDS degrees from Marquette University, Dr. Garrison and her husband, James, lived in southern Colorado for two years. While she thoroughly enjoyed her time at an all-childrens practice, Dr. Garrison knew that her heart was back closer to family in the Midwest. As luck would have it, she was put into contact with Dr. Richard Covey, from whom she eventually purchased Highland Dental.
Dr. Garrison loves practicing dentistry and caring for members of her community. She is also active in her church, Bethany Lutheran, in Fort Atkinson. She plays piano, clarinet, and has also started learning the cello! An outdoor enthusiast, she is looking forward to resuming activities which include running, cycling, competing in triathlons, and hiking. She also enjoys traveling, baking, puzzles, and trivia.
Dr. Kempema was raised in a predominately Dutch community in Northwest Iowa, and earned his undergraduate and D.D.S. degrees at the University of Iowa in 1981. He had a solo dental practice in Fort Atkinson for over 30 years. He jumped at the opportunity to join Dr. Garrison and her team at Highland Dental on a part-time basis. Dr. Garrison, her staff, and her practice have a positive, friendly, and dedicated atmosphere that Dr. Kempema appreciates and finds comfortable.
Dr. Kempema met his wife Robin in college. Theyve been married for over 40 years. Robin works for Northwestern Mutual Life in the information technology area. Together they have two married daughters and two energetic and delightful grandsons with whom they love to spend time.
Dr. Kempema enjoys hiking, biking, jogging, reading novels, showing dogs, woodworking, playing guitar, and listening to music. Hes a dedicated Milwaukee Brewers fan, with baseball being his favorite sport.
