Dr. James Tong has over thirty years of experience in advanced clinical dentistry. By combining the usage of the latest advances in technology with his gentle, comforting style of care Dr. Tong ensures healthy, beautiful smiles.
Dr. Sunanda Bhushan has been an integral part of our dental team for over five years now. She completed her BDS in India as well as her Masters in Prosthodontics. Upon moving to the US she graduated from Boston University where she received her DMD.
Dr. Andrew Tong has been exposed to the field of dentistry since he was young, with the influence of his father, Dr. Tong, and mother. Graduating with a B.S. from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2015 and receiving a D.D.S at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2019, he has found a deep passion within the field.
Dr. Andrew enhanced his experience through a General Practice Residency in New Jersey, from 2019 to 2020, at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He is now working alongside his father at Tong Dental Care. In the future, Dr. Andrew is looking to continue his education by obtaining a Master in Periodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

Appreciate the great job!! Not to mention that they accommodate my husband in a short notice because he is due as well for cleaning and he is not happy with his previous dentist...pls post the new dentist in your website...and all your staff

This dentist office is amazing, and one of the best I ever had the pleasure of going to. The front desk staff, hygienist and dentists were all exceptionally profession and friendly- even after appointments the staff would take time to get to know me better and I'd spend half an hour just chatting. The appointments were always scheduled quickly and I don't think I ever waited more than 5 minutes once I arrived (on time). I had to move to Virginia this past summer but if I hadn't I would definitely be sticking with this place- they rock!

I think Highland Dental Care is by far one of the best in Montgomery, County. The staff members are professional and amazing. The doctors were super impressive and informative. The facility is clean and everyone seems to be accomodating to each client. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Very kid friendly as well. Thank you Highland Dental Care for treating myself and my two kids. You guys are the best in Clarksburg, MD!!

As a patient my experience is never good when I attend. You never see anyone washing their hands in between patients. Their bedside manners are lacking especially Dr. Tong.

I never used to look forward to going to the dentist until I found Highlands Dental Care. They are thorough, gentle and so friendly. Oops! I almost forgot that they have a smart tv you can watch while receiving your dental care!

Honestly the sweetest employees ever that make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. Everyone is so calm, positive, and professional they put you at ease immediately. I love that the team always remembers little facts about your previous conversations and they remember you as more than a patient, but a person. Best dental experience our family has ever had and couldn't recommend them more!

We have been patients of Dr. Tong for over 15 years. He has treated both of us and our 2 children, including braces. We started in the Gaithersburg office and shifted to the Clarksburg office when we moved. We have always been very happy with everyone in the practice, from receptionist and office staff to dental hygienists and the dentists. This is a warm, friendly office that knows how to handle children. We have been very pleased with the quality of care. This is a first class dental practice and we recommend them highly.

Awesome experience with Dr. Wong who cleaned my teeth. Went in for a cleaning as I did not want to go to Frederick for a double appointment to just get teeth cleaned. Will definitely recommend.
