Dr. Byron Moe opened Highland Dental Arts in Highland, CA 40 years ago. He was one of the people who convinced Dr. Gerard Sabate to become a dentist. Dr. Moe offered the practice to Dr. Sabate, and today, Dr. Sabate strives to maintain the same level of patient care and comfort that Highland Dental Arts is known for. Our staff is always willing to go above and beyond for patients, and with their years of experience, they are able to answer all of your questions and meet your needs without hesitation.

Dr. Gerard Sabat graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2008. He grew up in Loma Linda, currently lives in Redlands, and is so happy to be able to serve the community he grew up in. Dr. Sabats goal for all Highland Dental Arts patients is to have a fantastic, fresh, and fun experience at the dental office every visit. Dr. Sabat loves every part of being a dentist especially the opportunity to build relationships with patients. He creates unique solutions for each patients dental needs. Dr. Sabat also works at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, specifically helping with community outreach and local dental mission trips. When he is trying to avoid his honey do list he is busy riding dirt bikes, playing his trombone in the LLUC brass group and orchestra, golfing, and mountain biking, camping, and pretty much any outdoor activity with his family. His favorite part of Highland Dental Arts is working with the amazing team!
I am originally from Oregon; Ive called California my home for most of my life. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology Physiology and Behavior from the University of California Davis and my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda. I finished the American Academy of Implant Dentistry MaxiCourse program at LLUSD and I am certified in oral sedation. I value the importance of patient education and prevention so you feel comfortable and can make your own informed decisions about your oral health and how that can improve your quality of life. Im an active member of California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and Tri-County Dental Society (TCDS). When not in the office I spend my time playing with my adorable niece, spending time with family and friends, finding good eateries, reading books, and attempting to play golf.
Robin Rasmussen has been a Registered Dental Assistant for 16 years and has been Highland Dental Arts office manager for the last year. She lives in Perris with her husband and 16 year old daughter. When she is not working she enjoys spending time cooking and being out doors. She loves working at Highland Dental Arts because of the emphasis on patient education and providing quality care.
Megan Christenberry, RDH BS is a 2015 graduate of Loma Linda Universitys school of Dental Hygiene. She lives in Yucaipa with her husband and two fur babies. When shes not educating her patients on successful oral health practice, she can be found enjoying the outdoors and capturing life moments on her camera. She loves working at Highland Dental Arts because of the above and beyond care they provide every patient.
Kimi Hadley RDH graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2007. Since that time, she has practiced in the Inland Empire, and in April of 2019, she joined the team here at Highland Dental Arts. The main reason she became a dental hygienist was to help people who have a fear of going to the dentist. Everyday, her personal goal is to lower my patients anxiety while providing the best care that she can offer. She loves working with the team at Highland Dental Arts because they are patient-oriented, fun to be around, and exceptionally skilled in dentistry.
Betty Favela has been a dental assistant since 2014. She went to school at American Career College located in Los Angeles. She is originally from Los Angeles and has been living in Colton since 2018 with her fianc. When she is not at the office she is usually out hiking and exploring with her friends or visiting her family and pets that still live in Los Angeles. She absolutely loves working at Highland Dental Arts because of how passionate and caring everyone is towards the patients.
On my second visit, cavities were filled and a crown was replaced quickly in a pleasant atmosphere. The dentist continuously monitored my comfort and pain levels, then checked in later the evening to make sure that I was doing well. What a great place! -Craig A.

Today was actually my first visit...everyone was friendly and well spoken...I felt at ease from the moment I arrived...and of course the upside is having a handsome doctor (Dr.Horsley)...I definitely will be making Highland Dental Arts my permanent dentist..

My husband and I absolutely love this dental office. From the moment we stepped into the door everyone was very welcoming and it felt so homey. They were so patient with us as my daughter was crying and wanted to be with us during our appointments. All work we needed done was explained to us and we did not feel pressured or like we were being offered services we did not truly need. So glad we found this place. We can't wait to schedule the work we discussed.

It's now 3 years later. Everything we said last time is still true. Very friendly, competent, punctual. Highly recommend!!! When my wife and I, showed up for an appointment on our anniversary, they had found out, and presented us with a card, signed by all!!! They are lovely people, highly competent! Like "family."

Came in with a cracked back tooth, they were VERY KIND and COMPASSIONATE which is very very very hard to come by in Southern California. Now I'm in no pain and will be going back next week to finish up. Thank y'all for taking me and taking care of me! Kindness will always comeback

I've been looking for a dentist for a while now. I've been to several bad dentists in the area. I had planned on going to Highland Dental Arts, and Monday had to see them for an emergency. Every single person I dealt with was amazing. They honestly seem like they care about you as a person. They were all very honest, very up front about procedure, cost, pain, etc. After one visit, I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could.

Always highly satisfied with my regular cleanings and with the more intense services. The office is very clean and has great ventilation. The staff, hygienist and dentist have always made me feel comfortable and informed. I highly recommend Highland Dental Arts.

To all the staff Not just one specifically.. you are all great. This is my best experience at a dentist appt in all my life.. I will admit I am a big chicken and I was traumatized as in Adult getting my only root canal ever.. somewhere else not here..... I would like to thank my son for recommending this office I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding and making me always comfortable in your presence and office. I love the great vibes I get every single time I walk in there my nerves actually disburse slowly as I am greeted at the door. Again thank you all for your kindness .. Ana O. Thomas's mom

I had to share my experience with everyone out there like me. I've had extremely traumatic dental experiences in my past. I mean shaking, crying, blood pressure raising experiences. I'm 27 years old and I'm in tears every time I lay in a dental chair. Not a single positive or even semi-ok experience until now. The staff at Highland Dental offered me water, a stress ball, helped me practice my breathing, even offered a change in music to help relax me. Dr Sah and her assistant did such an amazing job communicating with me throughout the procedure, making sure I was comfortable and at ease. My procedure involved my roots which we all know can be grueling. I did not feel a single ounce of pain and they constantly checked in just in case. When it was over I was actually in shock. I was anticipating every next step to start to feel painful and never did. No surprises. I could tell they were very invested in making sure not only my procedure was a success, but that my perspective on my dental care was changed. Mission accomplished. I'm so happy I finally found my dental care home. I encourage everyone else to come here and feel the sense of relief I now feel. Thank you Dr Sah and team.

Very happy I came here. Its been a while since I've seen the dentist because of the same reason everyone else has, too scared to. Had a broken molar that needed to be fixed and they helped me right away, they make it super comfortable for you. They asked me if I wanted them to change the music while I was waiting which by the way, everything is super close. Didnt have to go to seperate rooms for xrays it's in the same room they do all your other work in. Pretty neat for these covid days. Also the assistants had every answer to every question I had, very happy with that. They really make it so that you're comfortable, I hate needles and they gave me a tip to help ease my nerves when getting numbed up. If you're scared of the dentist just give this place a try I'm sure you'll leave as happy as I did. Came in sad because of a broken tooth and left 100% happier because of how awesome this place is.

They make you feel comfortable about going to the dentist. They really get the job done ( example: when they clean your teeth, they don't just polish your teeth, and send you on your way, they really clean your teeth).

Since visit one. The staff as always been accommodating, friendly and has general concern for your health and well being. New implemented changes of taking your temp prior to being let in. Staff has ramped up safety precautions for the patients and themselves. And has fully abided by the rules and regulations on what's required. I have to fully applaud them all. It's not an easy job wearing extra layers of PPE. And still retain a sense of taking care of the patient to the fullest. In layman terms. You could never find a better practise to take care of you and your families dental needs.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! I've had some traumatizing experiences at the big dental places growing up, but the staff at this office actually have me looking forward to every visit. I'm never in any pain or discomfort and the results of my crowns and fillings have been superb! If you're looking for some trustworthy people that will actually care about your health and well-being, make an appointment here. ^_^

Everybody here was awesome. My main dentist now. Had horrible tooth pain and they fixed me right up. Super friendly and supportive through everything. Dr.Lim and his staff are awesome
