I haven't been back to a dentist since 2019. Life just got too busy to keep an appointment, so I had about 3 years of buildup to get cleaned off. Rhonda was phenomenal! She was professional and super sweet all in one. Very gentle on my sensitive gums, explained to me what she was doing the whole time since she had some extra work to do, and managed to keep it speedy! I appreciate the whole team at Highland Creek, and especially Rhonda for a great experience today!

This is the best practice I've ever been to by far. Having had some terrible experiences at the dentist in my past, I have been afraid to go to the dentist my entire adult life. Dr Bodine and staff were honest, informative, even entertaining as they explained my options and fixed my issues over a few appointments. Made sure I was comfortable by providing extra numbing medication at the slightest reaction. Even gave me a blanket to keep me comfortable. I somehow managed to fall asleep. Made a crown for me right there in the office. Never came at me with one of those scary dental plans where you learn it's going to cost a million dollars to fix your problems. Reasonable and common sense approach. Will never go anywhere else! Edited: 9/1/22. After being a patient at Highland Creek family dental for quite some time, I received a reminder call for someone other than myself. I called the practice to let them know that they should remove my phone number as a contact for that person. I had a cleaning appointment intact at this time. Some weeks passed, so I called the office to inquire and confirm my cleaning appointment that I knew was less than a week away. I was advised that there was no appointment on the schedule for me. I then asked them to check my phone number, because I always get reminders by text for my appointments and I had not received it yet. I was advised that there was no phone number at all on my account. Instead of disassociating my number with that person, they just removed my phone number from the system entirely. Okay, mistakes happen. I then asked to schedule an appointment for a cleaning. I was told that because of the type of insurance I have, they were sending those patients to another dentist for cleaning. And then I could schedule an appointment for treatment, if any was needed, with Highland Creek. I was floored because I had been an established patient for several years and this is what they decide to do? I have referred many patients here. I said that for purposes of continuity of care, I did not want to have my teeth cleaned elsewhere and then come back there for treatment. I wanted to have them do my cleaning and diagnose any issues and treat them. The receptionist advised that I could feel free to go ahead and have that other dentist perform the treatment after the cleaning. This is completely unacceptable. I understand turning away new patients when you have reached the capacity for patients. But you do not send established patients away somewhere else. It's not that they don't take my insurance, they just don't want to do the cleaning because they don't make any money from it. They deem it okay to go back to them for expensive treatment plans however because that's where they make their money. I have struggled with going to the dentist since I was a child and finally found an office that I thought was understanding, as well as quite competent. I would never refer anyone else here again, and I will never go back. I expressed disappointment with the person over the phone, and she had nothing much to say. Empathy or an explanation would have been a great idea. If that were my practice, I would want to know about this exchange and would call my patient back to address and offer some kind of explanation. After all, I did have an appointment scheduled and someone removed my phone number so my appointment just went away. I could've at least gotten in for that cleaning and the crown replacement that I need before shopping for a new dentist. None of that happened so I am shopping for a new dentist now. Completely unacceptable.

Went there for over 5 yrs. Constant turnover of dental assistants. Thought they were preserving my teeth when it was patchwork. New town, new dentist says the fillings were not properly done, allowing decay to continue and now I need thousands of dollars out of pocket to cap them or lose them! I want to sue this shyster I think I was discriminated against, being a Medicaid patient.

I give this office one star because the clerical side of the office failed to do their job. I had been searching for a new dentist for sometime. Once I came across this office I confirmed they accepted our insurance. After being told they do, I made appointments for everyone in my family. We had to wait a long time for our appointments which I understand. Two weeks after the appointments, we receive a bill for several hundred dollars. When I called I was told they did not accept our insurance. I asked how could that be since I verified they did prior to the appointments? They told me in the time frame from when I made the apts that they no longer accepted our insurance. I asked why was I not told this at my apt? The women told me that it's not there responsibility to verify our insurance.....but I did, when I made the appointments! It was incredibly disappointing to receive a large bill right before Christmas that I wasn't planning on when I did my due diligence. It was even more disappointing how the office handled the situation. I would not recommend this office as the impression I received was the only thing they are interested in, is your families money. It was not professional and I would sincerely advise you to continue to look for a new dentist office if you are trying to establish a new place.

I broke my front tooth on a Friday evening and called Highland on the following Monday morning. I know they're a very busy office and was surprised (and extremely thankful) that they could get me in that day. Everything was great from start to finish. I believe Elizabeth tooth my X-ray and was very personable the whole time. Dr. Cope came in an explained what they planned on doing and the risks involved with the type of trauma my tooth experienced and what might happen down the road. Danielle performed the repair on my tooth and she was super friendly and accommodating the entire time. The whole team made this experience so easy and there were lots of laughs. I'm extremely happy to have a smile with a tooth that matches to my others!

They can't seem to get my insurance information correct. With every interaction they've told me I'm "out of network." Our dental insurance doesn't even have a "network." Human Resources from my employer reached out to them in an effort to correct the situation. Highland Creek manager told me she has no record of this interaction- which I do not believe. I'm sure I've been overcharged because of this and they offered no resolution. I'm now finding a new provider to skip the hassle. I did have a tooth removed by Dr. Cope. He was professional and it went smoothly. I was disappointed that he did not introduce himself on our initial interaction.
