We provide personalized periodontal care for each patient since no patient is exactly like another. With this in mind, we also have our team attend continuing education courses to provide patients with quality care and periodontal services. At High Plains Periodontics And Implant Dentistry, we offer the All-on-4 procedure for patients that are looking for a convenient way to replace missing teeth. If you live in the Lubbock area and have experienced tooth loss, we encourage you to visit our office to discuss the options available to you.

There are distinct advantages to living in the modern world. One of these, from the dental perspective, is the ability to live without the stigma and challenges of tooth loss. According to the Periodontic Association of America, roughly 175 million people, of all ages, have lost one or more teeth and this number is actually expected to grow larger over time. What this has done is spurred growth in the replacement tooth industry and the revolution of dental implants. Implants are a way to get the most natural looking and behaving replacement teeth. However, the standard implant procedure is not always physically viable or convenient. In this situation, the All-on-4 procedure can be a better solution.

The simple answer is that anyone who has lost teeth and wants to have a permanent good-looking set of replacement teeth will benefit from dental implants. The All-on-4 systems offer people a chance to live a full and healthy lifestyle by replacing the teeth with implants over removable dentures. The ideal candidate for All-on-4 implants is someone who already wears dentures or is already missing multiple teeth. Additionally, this is an ideal procedure for someone that does not have the bone density to support a full set of individual implants, the time to have individual implants placed, or the budget to pay for them. The All-on-4 procedure is faster and more affordable.

There are several ways in which All-on-4 implants are better than dentures. Patients take care of All-on-4 implants in the same way they care for their natural teeth by brushing each day. The implants also operate in the same way as natural teeth, so the patient does not have to be cautious of what he or she eats. Along with the fact that patients do not have to remove All-on-4 implants when eating or cleaning the teeth, there is also no need for uncomfortable wires or brackets to hold the implants in place. Even more importantly for patients, the dental implants allow anyone to eat what the heart desires. You do not have to worry about hot or cold affecting your dentures. You also can bite down with up to 70 percent more force, which allows you to eat the foods that you love. Finally, All-on-4 implants look exactly like your natural teeth. No one will be able to tell that you are wearing a dental prosthetic. From a dental health perspective, it is important to note that when you have All-on-4 implants, it is going to prevent bone deterioration in the jawbone and ultimately restore your facial features by fighting resorption. The process of resorption involves the implants stimulating the jaw to send a message to the body that the jaw is supporting teeth once again. Resorption will help the jawbone to regain some of the mass that it has lost previously. Many of our patients who visit our office notice a difference in their facial structure as a result.

The Oral and Maxillofacial Associates state that All-on-4 implants have a success rate of 98 percent. With All-on-4 implants, patients have a 98 percent probability of leaving our Lubbock offices with a perfect set of teeth that are permanently attached to your jawbone. To discuss how successful the procedure may be for you, call (806) 686-1262.

Typically, the surgery takes approximately two hours and 30 minutes per arch. We can install your All-on-4 implants on your upper, lower, or both arches at the same time. While a dentist may make the process look easy, the surgery is a complex procedure that we can complete at an efficient pace. The process of getting All-on-4 implants can be laid out in four steps:

  • The first step: A detailed examination where we will look at your records, existing conditions, whether you have a denture, what your facial structure needs are, and any other factors that may come into play when placing your implants.
  • The second step: Typically involves CT scans, which are 3D pictures, of the jawbone. The scans include the positions of the replacement teeth, while also giving us critical information about where the bone sinuses and nerves are located for the implants.
  • The third step: Involves creating a computer simulation of the implants, which we digitally position into the jawbone at the appropriate location to give you the most support from your replacement teeth. We can adjust the implants as need be and fabricate your new set of teeth for your needs.
  • The fourth step: Finally, the most important step is the oral surgery. During surgery, we will provide you with anesthesia and then place the implants directly into your jawbone to secure your new set of teeth in place.
  • Despite our best efforts, teeth sometimes do not last a lifetime. We may lose them to cavities, or they may be broken down after multiple efforts to keep them as long as possible. Does it seem like the same tooth is getting worked on more and more? Sometimes periodontal or gum disease has caused many of our teeth to become loose as we lose the bone that supports them. If this may be happening to you, why throw in the towel and be content with dentures or flippers? Ask yourself, Do I want to remove my teeth, my smile, my dignity every night and put them in a glass of water by my nightstand?

If youve lost all of your teeth or are currently losing the battle to broken down teeth and bone loss, then All-On-4 Treatment Concept implant bridges can offer a conservative option for giving back your smile. With Nobel Biocares All-on-4 Treatment Concept, your smile can be comfortably supported using only four to six strategically-placed implants. The unique angle and placement of the new roots allows them to successfully support your smile while minimizing the need for additional surgeries.

Imagine waking up with your smile and going to bed with your smile, not putting it in a glass with a cleaning solution. If you have dentures now, imagine not having to use gloop to try to get them to stay in. Imagine eating the foods that dentures robbed from your life because you can chew as well as you used to. We know proper nutrition is important, especially as we get older, but tooth loss often deprives people of proper nutritional as they can only eat softer foods.

Because we understand this is a life changing decision, we use only premium quality implants and parts from Nobel Biocare when excecuting the All-on-4 Treatment Concept. With over a decade of research and development and with long term clinical studies, Nobel Biocare stands behind their product with a lifetime warranty on implants (the roots) and a 5 year warranty for the final Nobel Biocare Procera bridge. By using only Nobel Biocares components throughout, we deliver a service we are confident to put our name behind.

  • All-on-4 Treatment Concept helps more edentulous patients enjoy the long-term comfort, stability, and confidence of implant-supported bridges. Patients with less density in their upper and lower jawbones can benefit from implant-supported bridges without the need for extensive bone grafting or sinus lifts.
  • Dental implants boast an over 90% success rate, and by allowing more people to receive them, All-on-4 Treatment Concept boasts a 95% satisfaction rate. Imagine after your surgery walking out with a new smile. Many patients qualify for immediate loading, meaning they can receive a fixed bridge on the same day that the implants are placed. A final bridge can be placed afterwards in 46 months after the roots have healed; this decreases overall treatment time significantly.
  • A completely restored full arch significantly improves your overall quality of life, allowing you to bite and chew comfortably, speak clearly, and smile confidently. All-on-4; Treatment Concept makes that improvement possible for patients who might otherwise not qualify for implant placement.
  • All-on-4 dental implants are currently taking the dental field by storm. These devices address periodontal diseases or tooth loss. They are supported by four dental implants, which gives the name of All-on-4.Dental implants have been revolutionizing the face of the dental industry over the last 25 years. Implants are small posts that replace the tooths

Dental implant placement is a term often used to describe the entire process of installing an implant-supported tooth. The process varies, depending on a patients unique set of circumstances. This means that recovery periods also differ from one person to the next. A number of various factors may influence the time that a person takes

Dental implants are oral prosthetics that are highly recommended by dentists when it comes to replacing missing teeth. An implant is an artificial teeth root that is surgically inserted into your jawbone. It takes over the role of the root that falls out when a tooth comes off, passing bite forces into the jawbone so

Dr Everrett and his team are a God-send-- their hearts are in the right place-- it's rare to find places like that, that value the patient and what's the best option overall, rather than what will make them more money. I will always recommend them!

I would highly recommend High Plains Periodontics! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and professional. I had no trouble getting in the first time, and all my return visits have been easily made. I have been seeing Dr.Morgan and I have been very pleased. He is knowledgeable, very friendly, easy to discuss your situation with, and gentle with procedures. I have also seen Dr. Everett, and have been pleased with him. Their office and treatment rooms are exceptionally clean. Masks are required. Of course, not during treatment! Lastly, I have not been made to feel like a terrible person due to my dental health. I am a 70 year old female and I trust their advice!

This is absolutely the best dentist I've ever seen ! Dr. Everett and his staff are amazing. I went to five dentists after starting work on the all on fours total implant procedure. Unfortunately I lost all confidence and respect for the local dentist who started my procedure. I went to four other dentists in three cities for two years before I found Dr. Everett, my lifesaver! I started to work at 868 and finished it at age 70 though I spent only a few months of this time With Dr. Everett. I have told his office people that anyone has any questions about all on four implants is welcome to call me via his office. I am adding a photo of myself on a regular day. Please attention only to the teeth lol! Dr. Everett is truly one of the most talented dental artists I have ever met! Good luck on your journey you will be pleased when you are finished!
