Dr. Dale E. Spencer attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his dental degree and completed a two-year general practice residency. Dr. Spencer is a Fellow and Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (of which there are less than 400 in the country).
He is also a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, First District Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantology, and the Western Piedmont Dental Society. He has done volunteer work with the Crown Councils Smiles For Life program.
Dr. Spencer has been in practice for 35 years and is experienced in performing various types of sedation including nitrous oxide, oral sedation and IV sedation. He has over 20 years experience in reconstructive dentistry and has placed implants since 1986. He is one of the few dentists in the area offering hospital dentistry at Catawba Valley Medical Center where he has been on medical staff and had clinical privileges since 1985.

This was my second time. Both visits went very well. The lady that has cleaned my teeth both times did a very good job. She was concerned if I was comfortable and had any issues while she was cleaning my teeth. Everyone is very pleasant.

I'm visiting NC from out of town and needed a tooth extracted. The dentist and his assistant were professional, friendly, and worked very efficiently. I couldn't recommend this practice more!

Kind, fast, professional and respectful. Very attentive, knowledgeable work environment. I was treated kindly from start to finish. I called at 9am with an abcess the size of a golf ball. I was in the office by 11am - Such great service! Will definitely be back. Thank you @ Hickory Dental Care!

I am absolutely terrified of dentist so I do not go very often. I needed a painful extraction and they did it with absolutely no issues. They were not judgemental about the condition of my teeth and we so nice that they calmed my nerves. I will definitely be going back

after reading these reviews, I had to speak up. this office was the worst dental experience in my life. Spencer had me in the chair over 3 hours. when I asked for a break, the assistant told me shut up n sit down. visit was for a partial, extractions and a mini implant. it was done on a Thursday where I received no after care instructions and no one from office called to check on me. the implant is crooked and dentures do not match my real teeth in color. I bled for most of the weekend. I was overcharged for several of the procedures. it was Tuesday by the time I was allowed an appointment to return. where ever these people came I assure you this was not office I had my appointment.

Dr Probst is a miracle worker. Eased my fears, worked at home on his own time making casts to show me options, and I don't think I could be happier. Everyone there watched my case & was so excited for me, assuring me all would be great. It is!
