Dr. Hickman, a native of Lucasville, Ohio, has been serving Southern Ohio since 1995. He received his Dental Degree (DDS) from The Ohio State University in 1993, and graduated from his Orthodontic Residency at the University of Louisville in 1995. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Ohio Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association, and has served as an officer for the Southwest Ohio Dental Seminars Study Club. Dr. Hickman has been recognized yearly by Deerfield Township for his sponsorship of the Hickman/Davis Scholarship.
Dr. Hickman began his orthodontic career in 1995, as an Associate Orthodontist in practices in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. In March of 1997, Dr. Hickman left his associateships behind and opened his Landen (Cincinnati) practice on Columbia Road in the Morand Building. The office was quaint, but it could not accommodate the increased patient flow as the practice grew. In 2003, in the midst of remodeling, a fire destroyed the Morand Building. Therefore, the practice was moved to its current location on Montgomery Road/US 22-3.
The success of the Landen practice can be attributed to the support and referrals of the surrounding family dentists, existing patients, and the community. The referral of family and friends is the greatest compliment that can be paid toan orthodontist. Dr. Hickman is committed to providing the highest quality orthodontic treatment in a comfortable environment. Dr. Hickman believes in treating his patients as he would treat members of his own family and strives to make his younger and older patients alike comfortable in the orthodontic setting. Dr. Hickman enjoys a great reputation in the community and truly appreciates the support and referrals of existing patients and their family dentists.
Dr. Hickman has three beautiful children: Allison, Sarah and Scott, Allison, 20, is a sophomore at The University of South Carolina. Sarah,18, is a senior at McNicholas High School, and Scott, 14, attends Immaculate Heart of Mary school in Anderson Township. Allison, Sarah and Scott are avid golfers just like their father.

So friendly and went above and beyond to make my girls feel comfortable. He spwnt ample time answering my 7 year olds concerns she had about her spacer effecting her sing voice without laughing or saying how silly it was:) They made both of them feel like they were the only patients they had all day! They will get our business for all four of our kiddos!

Dr. Hickman has been such a pleasure to work with. What stands out the most is his amazing staff. Every assistant is professional, friendly and welcoming. The front office staff is amazing! Every phone call is answered cheerfully, and a smile greets us upon each visit. You cannot find that in many places. I knew immediately at out first consultation that we would choose Dr. Hickman for our daughters' orthodontist.

Dr. Hickman has a wonderful personality and is a perfectionist which is what you want when you are spending that much money! All of the staff is wonderful. Dr. Hickman means it that once you pay for the braces, further treatment is covered if something moves. I really appreciate him being a man of his word in this day and age of feeling like everyone is money hungry.

Dr. Hickman has treated all three of our boys...starting 10 years ago! He and his staff are always friendly and on time. They've provided excellent care and have gone out of their way to accommodate us. My oldest son has been out of braces for 7 years and my middle son has been out of braces for two years and their teeth are still perfect. My third son, currently still in braces, has needed additional, extensive work and Dr. Hickman worked closely with Dr. Lamping, an oral surgeon, to make sure he was providing the best outcome. We recommend Dr. Hickman all the time and couldn't be happier with him!

Dr. Hickman is a WONDERFUL orthodontist and person. We have used his services for not just myself as an adult, but also for all 3 of my children. This was my second time needing braces as it is very common for teeth to continue to shift when you are a teenager and do not always follow the rules set forth when you are required to wear a retainer to keep your parent's investment secure and your teeth straight. I did Invisalign with Dr. Hickman and was very satisfied with the cost, the progress, the long term follow up and working with him for the past 6 years through many, many visits at both locations for all 4 of us. Whomever posted the 1 star review really doesn't have a grasp on how incorrect they really are. If she was 13 years old then she herself did not shell out thousands of dollars on her teeth. Likewise if she has an issue why doesn't she contact them directly to have them handle it? Why blast a small business owner who is highly recommended and such a supporter of our local community on social media? A true grown up takes these matters to the person or entity and handles their business correctly, not on social media. Where is the proof you contacted him and tried to make it right? Attacking someone's personal reputation because 8 years later you decide you aren't happy with a service or outcome is defamatory. It can be absolutely normal to have to wear a permanent retainer to keep your teeth straight after braces, even as an adult. I do every night and to protect my teeth from grinding too! That isn't his fault for teeth shifting, especially if most likely as a teenager you were like every other teenager I know and non-compliant with your dental care. Take it from someone who has now consented, paid for FOUR mouths of repairs and has been a very satisfied client of Dr. Hickman for years - he is wonderful, as is his staff at both locations. I would never consider going anywhere else to have my family treated for orthodontic needs. I am very happy with the results and will always recommend his services to others in need of orthodontics!

I went to Dr Hickman as an adult with permanent teeth that were loose. Basically orthodontics from the 80s had left me in danger of my teeth falling out according to my dentist. She sent me to Dr. Hickman. He assured me we could and would fix my teeth and we did. My teeth are stable - no longer loose, they are straight, and my bite is straight as well. If that weren't enough reason for me to recommend Dr. Hickman I will add just a bit more. He has also treated all three of my kids. My kids have all been treated well by Dr. Hickman and his staff. They will all have perfect smiles just like mine when all is said and done. Thanks Dr. Hickman!

Dr. Hickman and his staff are very professional. Dr. Hickman has treated 2 of my sons .... each requiring a different approach to managing their care. He was great about treating their needs individually and took the time necessary to make sure everything was just right. Dr. Hickman is also very supportive of the local community. We highly recommend Dr. Hickman and will be sending our third son to him when he is ready!

Dr. Hickman has treated all three of our children with traditional braces, and me with Invisalign as an adult. He has a great staff and beautiful office, with a very convenient location to schools. Dr. Hickman is also a very generous supporter of local schools and organizations. I highly recommend his office!

Dr. Hickman and his staff have treated 3 of 5 family members, and have done a great job. He and the staff run a well-organized office. The treatment plans all went according to the estimated schedule - and Dr. Hickman even told us that one of our kids did not need braces - which helps me to know he is honest! I highly recommend Dr. Hickman, we've been very pleased with his work.

Dr. Hickman has treated two of my daughters with amazing results! We have other orthodontists closer to our home but we prefer to see Dr. Hickman! He and his staff are friendly and informative at every step! I recommend him all the time to my friends. The staff treats all their patients with care and concern. We've never waited more than 5 minutes for our appointments. My children love him and have never had any anxiety about going to see him.

We love Dr. Hickman and his staff. He has treated my two boys and the experience has been great! We are blessed to have gone through the process of braces with both kids without a hitch. Not one time did the boys complain about having to go to their appointments. We have never waited over 5 minutes tops in the waiting room and most times go straight back which is so nice and unusual. My first son's teeth are beautiful and the other is getting ready to get his braces off and his teeth look great. We highly recommend Dr. Hickman!

Dr. Hickman is an outstanding orthodontist. His office runs like a well-oiled machine. His office staff is amazing from start to finish. Myself as well as all 3 of my children have been patients of Dr. Hickman and in the approximately 10 years that we have gone to his practice, I have never had a complaint. His office staff did everything they could to make sure I was able to take full advantage of my company's dental coverage. They are always accommodating at rescheduling appointments and Dr. Hickman almost always runs on schedule. He is excellent with young children and the end result is beautiful! Both of my daughters' teeth are beautiful and my son is close to the end of his treatment. I can't wait to see the finished results of his teeth as well. I would recommend Dr. Hickman to anyone who is looking for a fabulous experience with even more fabulous results!
