Over the course of many years, he has built strong relationships with several of the top specialists in the Houston area. This allows for excellent interdisciplinary dental communication to prove support in virtually all special cases.
Dr. Hickerson prides himself in keeping up with state-of-the-art technologies and techniques through continuing education. New technologies include the impression-less 3 Shape/Trios digital scanner, soft tissue laser, digital x-rays and computer networking. New techniques include digital smile design makeovers, exceptional single tooth and complex implant dentistry, and comprehensive full mouth renovations.
She currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Texas AGD and has served in multiple leadership positions at the local and national levels as well. In 2014, Dr. Brown received the New Dentist of the Year Award, an honor given by the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Brown has completed the core curriculum of The Dawson Academy, a 160-hour continuing education continuum that focuses on comprehensive patient care, including functional and cosmetic treatment. As the result of her dedication to continuing education and life-long learning, Dr. Brown received her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in July of 2016.
Outside of the office, Dr. Brown volunteers in the dental clinic at the Brookwood Community and has traveled to Guatemala with Faith in Practice to provide dental care to patients without access to care. She and her husband, Guy, live in the Memorial area and have two young daughters, Margaret and Mary Kate. The family enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, exploring the great outdoors, and spending time with their black lab, Maggie.
I have been a registered dental assistant for 25 years and have enjoyed working for Dr. Hickerson for 13 years. I like working with the new technology in the office. I spend my leisure time having fun with my boys and going to Astros games.
After graduation from dental hygiene school here in Houston, I began working with Dr. Hickerson in 1981. I am rewarded each day by creating and maintaining relationships with our patients and staff. My outside interests include playing with my grandkids and boating.
I grew up in Naperville, Illinois but came to Texas as soon as I could. I attended Parkland College in Illinois and graduated from their dental hygiene school in 1982. I have been working for Dr. Hickerson since June of 2016. My interests outside the dental office include cooking, exercise and travel.
I am originally from Ohio but have called Houston home since 2011. I have been a dental assistant for 14 years and became a part of Dr. Hickerson's team in March of 2020.In my free time I enjoy traveling, exercising, spending time with family and friends, andfinding new restaurants to try.
After graduating from the University of Iowa with a BS in Dental Hygiene. I moved to Houston to live in warmer weather and start my hygiene career. I have enjoyed developing strong interpersonal relationships with my patients and helping them keep their smiles.In my spare time I enjoy running, reading, and cooking.
