Treatment Philosophy: Dr. Liu adopts the same philosophy in his practice as he lives his life; treat others the way you want to be treated. Dr. Liu believes in patient education and guiding them to make the best choices for their dental health.
Family Background: Dr. Liu is the younger of two boys and was born in Taiwan. He and his family moved to the Philippines when he was 6 years old. They immigrated to the United States when he was 13. He grew up in Southern California with a very supporting and close knit family. He has had a very modest upbringing. His success can be attributed to the support that he has received from his parents and his brother. Dr. Liu speaks English and Mandarin, and currently practices in Las Vegas, NV.
Hobbies: Spending time with her son, Quinn, her father and the rest of her family; travelling to other countries, and acting. She loves getting facials and massages. She loves babies. She also loves cooking, but would like someone else to clean up the mess!
Other Info: Dr Mai loves to smile all the time and be happy. She loves to pamper and take care of people. She believes that when you cannot smile anymore, you just need to take a vacation! When you feel sad, get someone who loves you to pamper you and you will be happy again!
Family Background: Dr Mai is the youngest of nine children. Her family traveled to Vietnam by boat when she was 8 years old. Her mother is illiterate and her father only completed third grade. Her parents were farmers in Vietnam and had risked their lives by leaving Vietnam due to extreme poverty and communist control. Dr Mai has worked all her life, even before she started dental school. She has worked as a babysitter, a farm girl (picking strawberries, onions, plums, peppers, etc.), home cleaner, newspaper delivery person, waitress, cashier, lab technician, food caterer and more. As a result of being raised in an extremely poor family of nine children, the in-laws, and more than 25 nieces and nephews, Dr Mai has learned to share everything that she has and to get along with everyone.
Personally from Dr. Mai: I have been a dentist since 2000. When I entered this profession, little did I know that it was meant to be for me! It was like finding my other half, a soul mate in your life: something that makes you smile when you think about it. It is almost impossible to describe in words what dentistry means to me. So I do hope you understand.
Every single day that I practice dentistry, I remember times that make me smile in the office, and when I get home, I am still smiling. My son asks me all the time, Mommy, do you love me more than dentistry? I have told Quinn many times that I love him most in life. It is the special relationships that I have with my co-workers and patients that make this profession so endearing and powerful to me. The best rewards come when my patients start bringing their loved ones and goodies to our office, because they are happy and satisfied with our service. The instant cosmetic results, pain relief, and the comfort they feel make our patients feel extremely satisfied. To me, happiness is like watching someone yawn: it is contagious. When I see my patients leave our office with a sparkling smile, it makes my heart sing the entire day. I am so grateful that I get to do what I do today. It is a privilege like none other. For this reason, I will treasure this profession and all that it has given to me for the rest of my life.
We have safely and comfortably treated numerous patients using sedation. Prior to treatment, we will review your medical history and explain the protocols for the sedation process. Throughout your procedure we will constantly monitor your blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen level. Remember to bring all the medications you currently take on a daily basis, such as asthma inhalers, in the event of an emergency.
Some patients fall asleep. However, you will be able to respond to verbal instructions from the dentist. Well administer just enough sedative to put you in a relaxed state. During the procedure, youll be completely unaware of what is happening, as if you were asleep.

I Absolutely Love Hi Tech Dental. They are very friendly and professional. I have a very small mouth and they took care of my crown, tooth pull, and fillings and now down to the deep cleaning. I had sedation for my tooth pull and crown. Was awesome I didn't feel a thing . I will keep going back to them. Thankyou so much for everything you do for me and Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am extremely irritated. I specifically asked if they accept my insurance. They waited until I arrived and was in the chair to disclose that they do not accept my insurance. Apparently I am not the only person they did this to because there was someone else that was yelling and upset about the same issue. What a complete big waste of time.

Never in my life have I ever been swindled by a doctors office. I called and explained my fiance hasn't slept due to broken tooth. I explained he needs it to be extracted. The receptionist said they can extract on the same day. I asked how much the total cost would be due to he doesn't have insurance he's paying cash. She said it would be $75 for consultation and x-rays and an additional $200 to preform tooth extraction. He sat in doctors office for 2hrs paid the $75 for xray and consultation. And than they tell him he has to pay $650 for the extraction. He asked to speak with supervisor for being misinformed on pricing. The nurse refused to get a supervisor and said that they don't have any supervisor in their office there's nothing they can do. They refused to give him a refund for consultation and x-rays even though their employee lied in order to swindle us into coming in. This is by far the worst business ever and I will be making a report to both the BBB AND SOCIAL MEDIA IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU HAVE A TOOTH EMERGENCY DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT THE PRICE AND TRY TO OVER CHARGE YOU UPON ARRIVAL.

Very disappointed honestly... I am in the worst pain ever. Sent home with a $5600 dental plan and Ibuprofen? Also X ray tech is too rough my opinion! Give me back my $75 copayment such a waste of TIME and money... thanks for the massage chair Zero stars please. Very saddened by the world today. Pull the tooth for $1600 then buy a tooth for $4000 WOW unbelievable here!

Not a very good experience... when I made appt, was told they accepted my insurance.. 5 weeks later when I showed up for my appt was told they had not checked my benefits yet and could not do it yet, because it was a Saturday.. and then was informed that today's appt would have to be cash.. I thought ok fine waited this long no worries, just needed a cleaning.. they made me pay $75 dollars up front just to get X-rays and see the doctor who proceeded to tell me I needed a more in depth cleaning, quoted $422... I politely declined.. so 2 hours later.. I am out $75 dollars and my teeth still are not cleaned.. hate to say it but I feel like I was being up-sold just like many of these reviews on here.. I am going somewhere else.. and we will find out if that is the case.. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE IS MY BOTTOM LINE.

It's okay. I disliked the business practices. When you call you cannot call the office immediately. The website patient system never worked for me. The hours are wonderful. The staff is pretty wonderful, too. But money talks. It's common practice to pay in advance. I paid in advance for a root canal procedure as part of a package where I was getting a root canal, implant, and both of those involved getting a crown. The root canal cost X-amount but the dentist did perform the root canal. The office not refund X-amount. I "went under" for multiple procedures. Once the dentist decided not to perform the root canal I was not reimbursed for what I paid to have a root canal. It was difficult to get my records and notes transferred for my next dentist. The staff you interact with when you are there are very kind. You have to appreciate the weekend hours. You will pay a higher price because of it, but it's not unreasonable. I still recommend that my coworkers go to this dentist because they won't miss work. The patient agreement you sign if an estimate of the cost of work done but if you cannot get all of the work done it can be difficult to see a itemized invoice of what you paid for in the end and what the cost of each individual procedure cost when you get a refund. It's unfair to call this office a scam. They are not. Sometimes business is business and businesses need to make money.

Since last July, when I came in for an emergency visit for a toothache, HiTech has been my dental office. They have been incredibly kind, professional and helpful. I've worked with Drs. Richards, Wittchow and Martinez and all have been fantastic.
