Hi Smile Orthodontics has been undergoing a transformation to go greenerwe want to be excellent stewards of Mother Earth. Two years ago we adopted a street, we have transitioned to using and buying more eco-friendly products, we recycle, and we adopted and planted indigenous trees on the north shore.
My name is Dr. Malia Kamisugi, and I began working for this orthodontic practice in the year 2000. The practice was previously known as Kamisugi Orthodontics and owned by my father, Dr. Arthur Kamisuigi, who opened doors in 1972.
Dr. Art began his well-earned retirement at the end of 2013. We miss him but do enjoy seeing his patients return with their children and friends. In 2015, I rebranded the practice to Hi Smile Orthodontics as a reiteration of our commitment to high-quality service, high standard technology and great appreciation for our home, Hawaii.
As a member of the Hi Smile Ohana, I love to see that my patients are working to better themselves. It is both humbling and exciting to see them smile when they notice the changes in both aesthetics and confidence boost. I feel blessed to be in a profession that allows me to be able to work with and on amazing people.

I have grown to love and appreciate this place. Before I ever came in I had such great insecurities about my teeth, but after months and months of having braces, I saw great results in which that I'm so grateful for. Aside from that I'd like to give a big shout out to the amazing staff Hi Smile has, they make their clinic the most welcomes and the most friendliest place. On that note, I'd like to thank Aunty Lee and Ku'u the absolute most. They've really made each of my appointments memorable with all the stories, jokes, and the lots of laughters we shared together. They really make me look forward to the every next appointments I have and that should honestly tell you something. So, if you are thinking of going to an orthodontist, I 100% would recommend you going to Hi Smile. I've seen amazing/ tremendous results in myself and the great atmosphere they have are just unbeatable.

The Hi Smile team is amazing! They create a relaxing and fun environment to be in at every appointment. Leigh, Heather, Ku'u and Ryan are all fabulous and provide the utmost care and service to their patients. Dr. Malia is knowledgeable, professional and personable. Patients finish their treatments with beautiful smiles and added confidence. Highly recommend :)

Love Dr Malia, my kids love the personalized service she and her staff give and enjoy how they really get to know the staff especially Leigh. They simply love going to their appointments.

My daughter is needing braces and looking for a orthodontist... I came along this office listing and I remembered when I had gotten my Invisalign's here at Kailua it triggered this unpleasant visits at this office. The Kailua office staff were so pleasant. But when asking questions to Dr Malia, I was asked to write her a Note!! If I'm at the doctors office don't you think you could answer my questions while I'm there ? Especially when I paid for the services in full and in advance! Honestly, I really don't think she really cares about her patients she's was very quick in and out not a very good communicator. I wish I did not pay in full. I could've had the option to go to someone else.

WOW!! My teeth have never looked better. They sparkle and shine so bright. Crooked smile no more!!!!! Leigh has changed my life for the better. New pearly whites, New me. Will be telling the whole book club about my great experience. Thank you Leigh!! I would say see you seen but I hope my teeth don't get crooked again LOL :)

I absolutely love HiSmile! The entire staff is so amazing! Ryan at the front desk is so friendly and personable; Ku'u is so funny and charismatic; Heather is bubbly and so talented; and Leigh is so so knowledgeable and has such an amazing work ethic, you can tell that she and the rest of Dr.Malia's staff truly care about their patients and their work. And you can't forget about the Doctor!! She is so incredibly dedicated to her patient's treatments and happiness with their finished smile! Love love love this place! Would give it more stars if i could!
