Meet the Doctor.You may be interested in knowing a little about me and my staff before your first visit. I have been inprivate practice since 1979. After graduating from Glendale schools, I attended U.S.C. completing my bachelor degree in Dental Science. I continued at U.S.C. receiving my D.D.S. in 1979. I am a member of the California Dental Association, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, The American Dental Association, and the Glendale Dental Academy. In my free time, I enjoy SCUBA diving and spending time with my family and friends. In the office, photos from dive trips allow you a glimpse into the undersea world that I enjoy so much. I also spend vacation time in northern Wyoming where I enjoy peaceful time by a lake or stream, camping in the Bighorn Mountains, and taking in the seasons.
I was raised in Los Angeles, California. I have been working in the Dental field for over 6 years. I work with the gratitude and joy attending patients and everything that includes front office duties. I'm proud to say I have an expertise as an Insurance coordinator. I have worked with insurances for over five years of my career. The dental field is an on going learning experience that I hold passionately. I look forward to many more wonderful years. I'm never limiting my learning capability, it has made me the successful person I am today.
I was raised in the foothill area, attending local schools and completing my registered dental hygiene education at West Los Angeles College. Practicing for over 20 years, I have enjoyed helping patients learn to care for their teeth and thus their overall health. getting to know patients, some of whom I have treated for as long as I have been a hygienist,has been very rewarding. I look forward to many more gratifying years.
I was raised in the San Gabriel Valley and went to Temple City schools. After graduating high school, I enrolled at Pasadena City College to pursue a career in Dental Assisting. I graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree and had my NationalCertification for DentalAssistants. Shortly after graduating, the State of California began licensing dental assistants, and I took the BoardExams to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). In the fall of 1995, I returned to school at UCLA to further my education andtake the Board Exams for Registered Dental Assistants with Extended Functions (RDAEF). With this license, I am able to perform duties that assist Dr. Heyes so he is able to care for our patients more efficiently. I belong to the American Dental Assistants Association and the San Gabriel Dental Assistants Society. I have been working with Dr. Heyes since June 1, 1988, and feel very fortunate for the opportunity.
I was raised in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. I attended Everest College in Reseda for my Dental Assisting education and training shortly after graduating high school. I've been practicing as a Registered Dental Assistant since 2012 and to me, what I love most about dentistry is that it's an art form. Color matching, photography, and glazing are just minor details in the big picture. I've been in this field for 15 years and with such experience there is still much to learn. Dentistry is a fusion of Art and Science and the goal is to expand our scope of practice with state of the art technology. It's important to work with a provider that supports educational and training practices to better serve our patients, which is why I'm glad I have the opportunity to be part of this team.
