Dr. Andrew has been a member of the Herwig DDS family since before he could walk. His father, Robert V. Herwig, DDS, was the practices previous owner for more than 30 years. After spending many hours in the family office, Dr. Andrew knew he wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a dentist.

To achieve this goal, Dr. Andrew started his education at the University of Kansas, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and a Minor in Business. He then attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry, graduating and becoming licensed as a DDS in 2015. Dr. Andrew is continually educating himself to deliver the highest quality customer service and best possible care to his patients. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association and Fifth District Dental Society.

Outside of the office, Dr. Andrew loves spending time with his wife, Emma, daughters, Ava, Emmie, and Kate, and dog, Miss Brooks. They love traveling, golfing, cheering on KU and being outside whether it is going on walks, grilling in the backyard, tailgating with friends or being at the lake.

Angie has been a part of the Herwig DDS team since 2000. She received her training in dental hygiene from Johnson County Community College and graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1998. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness from Missouri State University in 1994. Angie enjoys building relationships with her patients and helping them improve their oral health.

Outside of work, Angie spends time with her husband AJ, and two children Zach and Abby. She spends many hours watching her kids sporting events. When not at work or at a sporting event, she and her family love to travel, especially to the beach!

Emma graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She moved to Kansas City to pursue her dream of becoming a dental hygienist in 2011. She attended the University of Missouri Kansas City and earned her second Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined the Herwig DDS team in 2013 and truly enjoys getting to know her patients and making them feel at ease!

When not working, she and her daughters, Ava, Emmie, and Kate, and husband, Dr. Andrew, like to explore Kansas City; shopping, finding great restaurants, and hanging outdoors with their dog, Miss Brooks. The Herwig family, obviously, has a love for dentistry, but more importantly they love family time together and making memories!

She has been married to her husband, Mark, for 24 years. Together they have a daughter, Shelby, who is a Funeral Director in Wichita, Kansas, whom they visit as often as they can. In addition, Holly enjoys helping the homeless community with her church family, gardening, floristry, stitching and spending time with her four-legged fur baby, Andy.

Julie and her husband, Mark, have been married for 34 years. They have two beautiful daughters and an amazing granddaughter! Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, boating, yoga, traveling and spending time with her loved ones.

Susan graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor ofScience degree in Industrial Engineering in 1979. Prior to joiningHerwig DDS, she enjoyed a career with Southwestern Bell forthirteen years leaving to become a stay-at-home mom raising hertwo boys, Andrew and Mark.

In July 2015, Dr. Andrew expanded the family practice by adding a second location in Paola, Kansas. With more than 35 years in business, we have always prided ourselves on providing first-class dental care with exceptional professionalism since we first opened our doors in Lenexa in August 1981.
