A passion for orthodontics brought Dr. Hershey to the University of North Carolina to receive her Master of Public Health and her Master of Orthodontics degrees, after completing her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery degrees at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Hershey uses the most effective innovations in the industry and strives to lead the field in continuing education. Orthodontics is constantly evolving, so she participates in over 60 hours of professional education each year in order to provide the best and most up-to-date diagnosis, treatment, and technology to our patients.
Dr. Hershey further continues her commitment to orthodontics by actively serving in numerous professional organizations, and is currently a member of the: American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Durham-Orange Dental Society, John Hansel Study Club, UNC Orthodontic Alumni Association, and Impact360 Study Club.

Since starting with Hershey Orthodontics in 1994, Robin has taken pride in helping patients achieve a beautiful smile! Quality of care and a positive patient experience are key to her approach in clinical assisting.
Terri is married to Al, has two children, John and Jessica, both graduates of App State. Terris family loves to take vacations and visit her sister and her family. They also enjoy hiking, camping, sporting events, going to the beach, and are very active in their church.
Brooklyn joined our team in 2017 and assists with the administrative aspect of our patients treatment. She enjoys meeting new people and helping them feel at home in our office. Brooklyn shares our mission of creating a family-like atmosphere for our patients, as well as our staff, to enjoy.
Brooklyn is married to her husband, J.T., and has a son, Jace, and daughter, Presley. They are members of Covenant Life of Butner. In her spare time, Brooklyn enjoys going to the lake and spending time with her family.
Effie loves meeting new people and helping them to achieve their dream smiles! With more than 20 years of experience in the orthodontic profession, including assisting Dr. Hershey chairside since 2002, she has the pleasure of being part of thousands of successful smile stories. One of her favorite clinical tools is the iTero Scanner, which captures digital pictures of teeth.
Sandra is married to her husband Barry, who is now enjoying retired life! They have 3 grown children and 4 awesome grandsons. The arrival of grandchild #5 is soon and its a secret as to whether Sandra will have an all-boys basketball team or if shell have a little granddaughter to mix things up. Outside of the office, Sandra loves to spend time with her family, attend her grandsons sporting events, and cheer for the Tarheels!
Jessica enjoys meeting new patients and strives to make each one feel comfortable throughout their initial visit. She enjoys the process of explaining treatment plans and getting people excited for their new smile.
