Welcome to Hernly Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, PC. We are a team of highly educated professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive dentistry with exceptional customer service to our patients. Our unique family dental facility offers a wide variety of professional services required to maintain good oral health.
Dr. Dave Hernly was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana. He attended Miami University and graduated with his dental degree from Indiana University in 1999. Dr. Hernly continues to devote much of his time to advancing his education in the dental field. He is married to Dr. Megan, his partner in practice. They are proud to make Cascade their home, and enjoy living where Dr. Megan grew up. Dr. Dave is an avid sports fan who enjoys golf and also likes playing the guitar for relaxation. He is a member of the West Michigan Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Megan Ottenweller-Hernly completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and received her dental degree in 2001 from Indiana University. Dr. Megan enjoys capturing their familys special moments with her love of photography. She also actively participates in basketball and golf. Together the Hernlys have three children, Owen and Will and Michael. Dr. Megan is a member of the West Michigan Dental Society and the Michigan Dental Association.

Good experience from the moment you get there till you leave . Front staff Carol and Autumn are awesome. Dental assistants to hygienist are wonderful, Dr Hernly explains the process , takes time to answer questions and makes going to the dentist a better experience.

The folks at Hernly Family Dental are the best! They are certainly well organized, friendly, and professional. Always on time and efficient. I have been a patient there for years ( on the recommendation of a good friend who is an oral surgeon) and highly recommend the whole team!

An enjoyable visit with my 14 year old. We were warmly received by Carol and Autumn. Current reading material including Outside. Excellent selection of music. Restful waiting room. Very competent hygienists. We'll done, Dr. Hernly.

I have never ever found any other dentist who could be so soft and gentle and yet so effective. His entire staff is dedicated to excellent service and are so committed. They also are incredibly welcoming and are truly interested in their patients and their health. I love this place. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best dentist in Grand Rapids.
