I've been to Heritage for several visits. Including wisdom teeth, tooth extraction and implant placement. All of my experiences have been exceptional. Staff is friendly and caring and Dr Lang and Dr Ramsey are truly the best of the best. You couldn't be in better hands. My swelling has always been minimal or none because of their skill and I've never had complications. I have some dental anxiety and I've always felt relaxed here.

I went in for a consultation for my wisdom teeth in early June. The staff was unorganized and I waited in the exam room for a long time. I wouldn't have minded as much if I didn't hear the staff socializing right outside my door. They must have temporarily lost the paperwork I had filled out in the waiting room because someone repeatedly asked what my name was while shuffling through charts. During my consultation the doctor barely looked at my teeth and was more concerned with just making me an appointment. My appointment was made for two weeks out, but I was told (after making the appointment) that it would take 4-6 weeks for the pre-authorization from the insurance company to get approved, so I would have to call the insurance company myself and tell them to push it through sooner. Otherwise I would be expected to hand over more than $2,000 on the day of my surgery despite having the coverage. Naturally, I did not feel comfortable going back to this practice because they were clearly more concerned with how they can make money off of their patience. They proved that once again when I revived a bill in the mail for an x-ray that I was never told I was being charged for. ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT I was told when I went to a different oral surgeon (just down the street ) that with the way my wisdom teeth were angled in my jaw, I had a higher chance for lasting nerve damage. The doctor was immediately concerned that Heritage did not feel the need to bring it up, and mentioned that a lot of patience end up leaving Heritage because they aren't happy with their treatment.

Not sure what some of these patients are complaining about. I've only had a great experience here. Valley Oral Surgery is aesthetically beautiful for an oral surgery location, but more importantly Dr. Aslanian is the kind of doctor who instills confidence and comfort the second he walks in the examination room. I can't recommend this place enough.

Stay away from this place. They really screwed up the wisdom teeth extraction. To solve one issue my friend got into multiple issues and still couldn't eat even months after the extraction. Doctor especially Lang was not helpful and rude and they tried to hide their mistakes. They do everything in a hurry without listening concerns of patients. Everyone's case is different and they don't care

Very friendly and courteous staff, nice, clean and sanitized. They have you fill out paperwork through email before arriving for appointment. Eliminates waiting time. Parking enter thru the front Sherman Way not the alley.

Potential clients beware - especially if you are not well versed in how insurance is handled in dental scenarios. Oh, shocking - not many are. I went in for a consultation to see if having my wisdom teeth extracted was covered through my insurance. Insurance coverage was a big prerequisite for me as didn't want to go through with it, if it wasn't. The front of office reassured me it was after I had provided them with my insurance policy and contact. A few months after the procedure, Heritage Oral Surgery Center (West Hills) send me a bill for the procedure. Hrm, I thought it was covered? I call Heritage Oral and they act completely surprised. After some digging through my insurance provider, having them pull up the phone transcript and communication between the insurance and Heritage Oral Surgery, I was told Heritage Oral Surgery did not do their due diligence to do a complete verification to make sure my procedure was going to be covered. This, my insurance company assured me was standard procedure, especially if you are trying to verify coverage. I go back to Heritage Oral Surgery Center and tell them that this was not the message conveyed to my during my initial consultation where I had expressed the importance of this procedure being covered. They tell me I should have done that. What? It doesn't take a law degree to understand that if you, Heritage Oral Surgery Center, in a position of daily exposure to insurance and dental procedures conveys to a client that they will be covered, that I will take your word for it. How often in a lifetime do I have my wisdom teeth extracted? None? I guess that makes me an expert and I should trust myself over a professional who does this day in and day out. Either way, tread carefully. Heritage Oral Surgery Center - experience the difference...in truth. Let's just hope they don't pull the wrong teeth and blame you for not telling you which one to pull while under anesthesia.
