Dr. Leslie Ehlen grew up in Clive, and is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction and honors in Integrative Physiology. She continued her education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. Dr. Ehlen joined the Heritage Creek Dental team in 2014 and purchased the practice in October 2015.
Dr. Ehlen has continued to improve her dental skills by completing continuing education in several areas including Invisalign, TruDenta, Implants, Productive Dentist Academy,and is a member of a Frank Spear Study Club. In 2018 she joined Board for Dental Lifeline Network (Donated Dental), where she helps provide access to dental care to those who cannot afford it. She has researched and published literature on popular beverages and resulting tooth erosion, and has presented at local and national dental meetings.
Rachael has worked in several different aspects of dentistry - both as a dental assistant and front desk. She enjoys welcoming patients to the practice, as well as, helping them understand and take care of their dental needs.
Rachael lives in Madrid with her husband, Trent, and their two dachshunds - Roscoe and Lenny. When not at work, Rachael enjoys spending time with friends and family and doing DIY projects with her husband.
Amy is an Expanded Function Dental Assistant and has been with Heritage Creek since April 2017. She is originally from Mason City and attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, where she received her Dental Assisting Diploma in 2013. Amy gained valuable experience working in a pediatric dental office in Mason City and West Des Moines before joining our team. Amy loves dentistry because she has the opportunity to establish a long term relationship with her patients and help them improve their oral health.
Macy joined the Heritage Creek Dental team in November 2020. She is originally from Burnside, IA and attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, where she received her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
Macy is licensed to administer local anesthetic and certified to provide nitrous oxide. Macy loves dentistry because of the relationship she builds with her patients and being able to teach the importance of good oral hygiene.
Mariah is a Registered Dental Hygienist and started with Heritage Creek in August 2017. She attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids where she received her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
Mariah is licensed to administer local anesthetic and certified to provide nitrous oxide. She loves dentistry because she loves establishing relationships with patients and feels it is rewarding to help improve the oral health and overall health of her patients.

The ladies at this clinic are the greatest. Sweet and patient, even with my talkative, inquisitive 5 year old. We've been seeing Dr. Ehlen since she took over the clinic and very excitedly recommend her and her team!

From the moment one enters the door. To the moment you leave. You are greeted by a friendly staff member. I have never had to wait past my appointment time. Have never been hit with unexpected or surprise charge. If you have insurance, what is covered & what isn't covered is explained. You are kept informed what is going on with your exam & all procedures. Plus you have no excuse to forget your appointment. Notifications help remind.

I live in Texas but work in Iowa. I have been coming to Heritage Creek Dental for over 5 years. They are always professional and friendly. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend coming here.

Let me tell you I am scared of the dentist. 30 year old grown woman absolutely terrified. Dr. Leslie and her staff are super friendly and not judgemental if you haven't been in awhile plus were willing to let me break up procedures to keep things cost manageable. I have a lot less anxiety about my next appt now. Highly recommend

This place is great! I do everything in my power not to have to go to the dentist because it stresses me out. But the ladies here are so friendly and welcoming and talk you through everything. I will definitely come more like I'm supposed to now that I've found a place that's feels comfortable.
