Dr. Herbeck received his B.S. degree (Microbiology) in 1975 from the University of Central Florida (formerly Florida Technological University), and attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry, graduating in 1978. He joined the United States Public Health Service and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the National Health Service Corps for 3 years. He has maintained an active dental practice in Merritt Island since 1981. Dr. Herbeck has maintained an active presence both in his profession and his community over the course of the past 40 years.
Past president of both the Brevard County Dental Society (BCDS) and the Central Florida District DentalAssociation (CFDDA). Life Member of the Florida Dental Association (FDA). Served for 10 years on the FDA Board ofTrustees and has been both Scientific Editor and Editor-In-Chief of the FDAs journal Todays FDA. Member of the invitational dental honor organizations the American College of Dentists, the International Collegeof Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Herbeck has helped promote the delivery of dental health careto Brevardians of all ages and all walks of life as well as participating in charitable programs and services for our community

Dr. Herbeck and his wife Michelle live in Merritt Island and are the proud parents of two children, Alexis and Nicholas. He plays guitar, saxophone and other musical instruments, maintains his vegetable and herb garden and proudly wears orange and blue while cheering on the Florida Gators.

Wife had pain on Saturday and I contacted the Dr and he went to the office and took care of the problem. This is the kind of Dr we need today!

I've been going to Dr. Herbeck literally my whole life. I've never been to another dentist and only to the orthodontist he recommended. You get the same hygienist every time you go, the office is run effienciently and Dr. Gary is good at what he does and personable. I recommend him to anyone who will listen.

I have been seeing Dr. Herbeck for 20 years. He is knowledgeable, caring and never tries to "upsell" or do anything unnecessary. All of his staff are Tony the Tiger "Greeaat"

My little Olivia, age 7, was devastated to find out she had a cavity. She insisted I come with her to her Dentist Apt because anytime she has to do something difficult, she always wants her daddy there, and I'm proud to be her dad! Anyway, she sits in the chair and she's shivering. I ask if she's cold and, no, it turns out she's terrified. I try calming her down etc. Thankfully Dr. Herbeck had Toy Story on a huge screen playing in front of her, he had all sorts of fun tricks and games to play to divert her attention, and well - I've just never seen the sort of God-given gift that Gary has when dealing with kids. He's just absolutely amazing. He took a kid literally trembling with fear and did such an amazing job making her feel helpful, in control, and special, that she walked out of there happy, laughing and when I asked her later, she admitted she didn't feel a thing. He not only has lifelong patients in my family, but he also has my utmost respect for his professional and interpersonal capabilities. Thank you Dr. Herbeck for caring for my family.
