Dr. Henson is excited to be a part of the Temple Terrace community! Originally from Tallahassee, she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from Florida State University before completing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College. While attending Meharry, she was selected as a scholar for the National Health Service Corps scholarship program.
Dr. Henson believes that providing exceptional dentistry requires a life-long commitment to education. To stay up-to-date on the latest innovations in dental treatments and dental technology, she attends numerous classes and seminars each year. Most recently, she completed intensive courses through the Implant Seminars Continuum and Essential Dental Seminars (Endodontics). She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce.
Leo is the first team member to welcome you when you come in for your visit. Leo will also answer any questions you may have about your recommended treatment plan and walk you through your financial options. Leo is from California and enjoys spending his free time with his family at Disney.
P.G. is very friendly and personable. She will get to know you personally and provide you with thorough cleanings and good oral hygiene advice. P.G. is from Sri Lanka and enjoys practicing yoga and meditation techniques during her free time to stay healthy.
Sherry will always make sure you receive the best care when you come into the office by providing thorough teeth cleanings and giving good oral hygiene advice. Sherry is a Florida native and enjoys the water, sunshine, and going to the gym when shes not working.
Megan is an integral member of our team who will deliver compassionate care to you during your dental visit. Her personality, skill, and dental experience will put you at ease. Megan calls Tampa Bay her home and enjoys watching movies and being with her family.
Adriana will make you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your treatment and provide you with excellent care. Adriana is originally from Venezuela. She loves hanging out with her two dogs, Mateo and Maggie, and spending time with her family.

For our older patients, we will check on the health of your teeth and previous dental work (if any) to make sure everything is in good shape. For kids and teens, our main focus is on preventing dental issues from occurring so they can maintain healthy, confident smiles for life.
We are always upfront with our patients about treatments, costs, and the reasons behind Dr. Hensons diagnoses. The oral health of the Temple Terrace community is important to our dental team, and we would never suggest a treatment if we didnt believe it was necessary.

Wonderful experience and office, staff is extremely welcoming and professional. Isabela not only fit me in for an appointment same day, but was so helpful along with the dentist throughout my whole visit. Henson Family Dental cleared the jitters I have had with visiting the dentist for a while! Definitely recommend.

I cannot say enough about my experience at Henson Family Dental. I was truly touched by the level of care I was rendered at your home. I say home because they treat you like family. From the kindness of Isabela greeting my family. Down to the dental Assistant Megan who allowed me to relax by placing me in the massage chair - not knowing I've always had a fear of the dentist. PTSD even. Lol. My point is that we need businesses like this because it gives me hope in the BLACK community and BLACK businesses especially when we support each other. They were so kind to my daughter. I allowed my daughter to go through the appt alone to give her that independence. She was able to sit and listen without any help from me. I think it's because she saw someone that looks like her, healing her and make her teeth shine. They allowed her to pick out her own presents out of the treasure chest because she did so well on her own. I love that she was able to see someone that looks like her in a prominent position. I was even breast feeding while they were getting my teeth ready for a new crown. It's probably symbolic lol. But I'd like to say thank you for your patience and kindness. You restored my faith in supporting our community and what it means for future generations to come. I will say my husband did have some issues with the other dentist member. He lacked kindness and my husband stated he wish the service was better with this individual. Maybe he just need retraining on customer service or self awareness. However, he will not take away from the glowing review. Your family was able to calm me and allow me time to relax in a moment where I needed clarity. I received the message and I will follow pursuit. I'll definitely recommend your home to anyone and everyone I know.

Friendly and efficient staff, very professional hygienists and assistants. Dr Henson keeps up with the latest techniques and equipment. She is mostly pain free and does awesome work. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience, I found my dentist home! Briana was amazing, very friendly and made me feel very comfortable, Dr. Henson was very knowledgeable and explained everything well. Isabela was very nice and helped a lot. Thank you guys for such a great first time experience!

Went for my cleaning today. Front desk was welcoming and answered all my questions. Hygienist was great! A little interesting that the Dentist did not come take a look at my teeth for the hygienist doesn't tell you if you have cavities or not.

Isabella and staff is amazing. Love being here; the atmosphere by far the best in the Tampa area is a big family vibe and that's what stole me from a dentist I was going to for many many years. Disappointed in the crown I received that'sjust too short. Although the bite was ok..the Crown is so far into my gums, that I'm constantly having swelling gums. Planning to hv it removed and done correctly. Nice Dentist office, but they knew of my unhappiness with the Crown, but didn't offer to correct it.
