Henry Orthodontics - Orthodontist in Tulsa, OK

I grew up in Midland, Texas, and attended Texas Christian University, where I met my wife Kathy. After completing our undergraduate studies at TCU, we both attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.

We moved to St. Louis following graduation from Baylor College of Dentistry. I completed my residency at St. Louis Universitys Center for Advanced Dental Education, highly regarded as one of the finest clinical orthodontic programs in the world. I also completed a one-year residency as an orthodontic member on the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Abnormality Team at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital in St. Louis.

Kathy and I moved back to Tulsa to start a family and go into practice in 2003. Henry Orthodontics was initially started in South Tulsa at 7705 E. 81st Street. The Bixby location was added in 2006. Henry Orthodontics opened the Midtown Tulsa location at 4401 S. Harvard in 2015.

I am proud to be a second-generation orthodontist. My father, Dr. Bob Henry, practiced orthodontics in Midland, Texas for more than 35 years before retiring. I was led to follow in my fathers footsteps after seeing the tremendous lasting difference orthodontics can have on the lives of patients of all ages.

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation, American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, and Tulsa County Dental Society. I am also a Past President of the Tulsa County Dental Society and a founding member of the Dr. Gus Sotiropoulos Orthodontic Study Club.

Kathy and I are the proud parents of six amazing childrenfive boys and one girl. We enjoy spending as much time as possible chasing our kids around to various tennis courts, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, or whatever sport they are playing at the time. We also enjoy exercising together, cooking together, watching movies, and hanging out with family.

As a staff, we all love our jobs and appreciate the opportunity to help our patients gain improved self-confidence through their smile transformations. We are well known for our uncommonly friendly customer service and life-changing results.

We treat our patients like family! We provide a relaxed, warm, and welcoming environment. Our patients continue to refer their friends and family members to us because of the top-notch customer service and amazing results we achieve.

Dr. Henry is also uniquely qualified and has gone above and beyond in achieving certification by the American Board of Orthodontics. A board-certified orthodontist, also known as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, has been voluntarily examined by his/her peers according to knowledge and clinical skills. Becoming board certified signifies the orthodontist's pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics.

We utilize indirect bonding, which makes the braces process much easier and quicker for our patients.Dr. Henry worked with his fellow residents in St. Louis to perfect a method of putting braces on more accurately and in a shorter time. This method is not only a time-saver for his patients on the day they get their braces, but indirect bonding also leads to less total time in treatment due to the increased accuracy with which the appliances are placed.

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces gradually move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between six months and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
