Dr. Acosta earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2004. He has been practicing dentistry in Auburndale since then. Prior to attending dental school Dr. Acosta was a dental lab technician for 14 years!
Dr. Acosta has a passion for dentistry that extends outside of the office. He has volunteered his time over the years. Currently he is an active member of the Polk County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
He, along with his staff, participates in community education programs such as Dental Health Month awareness, and local company and residential health fairs. The office hosts the technology day for Travis Technical College and also assists in the training of their interns. He is a huge advocate for learning and education not just for his staff but also his patients.

Tess has been in Dentistry for over 21 years. She earned her Associate of Applied Science from Suny University in Orange County, NY, in 2001. She has been working with Dr Acosta since 2005. She joined the team in winter 2020 after returning to Florida from Dallas, GA. Tess uses her education and experience to make each patient who visits our office feel welcome, comfortable, and confident that their oral health is her top priority. She truly cares about her patients and enjoys connecting with them on a personal level as well. She makes it her goal to keep patients coming back to our practice for excellent care with a personal touch.

After excruciating pain over night, and my regular dentist couldn't see me for 4 days Lake Myrtle dental saw me within 30 mins of my call. They were gentle, caring and quick! I highly recommend them and will be switching my dental needs to them.

I had both wisdom teeth on the bottom removed a year or so ago and loved the way everyone treated and took care of me so I was back today for another extraction. I will also be doing all my future fillings and cleanings there as well. Awesome place!

I have a fear of going to the dentist, claustrophobic and I have anxiety attacks. The staff was very pleasant, calming and accommodating. The dentist Dr. Acosta was extremely patient with me and reassuring. Where Dr. Acosta worked on me at, had a picture window that overlooked a pond with ducks which was beautiful and calming. And what's really great about this dentistry you can have everything done there all in one day. Thank you Dr Acosta and staff.
