Dr. Henick is a Diplomat on the American Board of Orthodontists, a status attained by less than 20% of orthodontists in the US. He received his BA from Washington University and went on to obtain his DDS from New York University College of Dentistry. He completed his orthodontic residency at Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School. He has served as the President of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Orthodontic Alumni Association twice. He has been in private practice since 1982.
Dr. Doug received a BS from George Washington University in 2010. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his DMD in 2014 and did his specialty training in Orthodontics at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. While there, Doug also received his Masters of Science degree and published his thesis on the effectiveness of Invisalign on deep bite correction in adults. He is a certified Invisalign provider.

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that does away with hardware, wires, brackets, and bands. Instead Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable plastic trays called aligners to straighten teeth. The clear aligners sit directly on the dental arch, are virtually invisible when worn, and are easily removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
The aligners are worn about 22 hours a day, and are only taken out when needed. Each set of aligners is worn for about 1-2 weeks before moving to the next set. With each new pair of aligners, the teeth move closer to their final alignment for a beautiful smile.
Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces used among teens and adults. Traditional braces have become more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. Braces are fixated to the front of the teeth using a special dental composite. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.
Ceramic (clear) braces are the same treatment as traditional metal braces, with one major difference. Instead of stainless steel, the brackets of clear braces are made from transparent ceramic that blends in with the color of teeth. This makes the braces far less visible to observers, minimizing their impact on your appearance and lifestyle. No need to worry about having braces for photos or important social events.
Lingual braces are similar to traditional metal braces in that the brackets and wires are installed in the mouth and on the teeth to fix misalignments. Lingual braces differ from traditional metal braces because they are almost entirely invisible. They are placed on the back of the teeth facing the tongue, rather than the front of the teeth. Lingual braces allow for a more discreet option for orthodontic patients not willing to wear traditional braces for a lengthy amount of time. Lingual braces are great for teens and adults, especially those who play any wind instruments.

The best to do it!!! From when I needed braces in middle school to losing my retainer and needing them again in college. Reliable, honest, and he doesn't leave your teeth with that gummy look like other orthos. Down to the office's pleasant secretary, Gisela. So happy with my smile then and now. Since middle school till, now the experience I had with Dr.Henick felt like I visited family. The process with my braces a serious case, but no problem for Dr.Henick. I felt motivated and no stressed every appointment I had. Also with the assistant ladies they new there job and treated me kind. I'm happy to say the procedure was a success and my teeth feel great

Horrible people! They only care for the money! Once you're done paying with everything they won't even call you back when you leave messages to make appts! I had to keep on calling for weeks! Then they made an appt to just call me back 3 days later to cancel it!!!

Don't trust Dr Henick nor office. Dr Henick's license should be revoked for unethical behavior. They claim to give free consultations then behind your back charges your insurance. They tell you it was a mistake and they will fix it but NEVER do. They take your insurance information make you sign a paper claiming its only for insurance verification but it's a LIE!!! Don't sign anything. They are scamming. Then they hide Or ignore you for months hoping you go away.

This office is utterly unprofessional rude and dishonest starting with Henick. He is a liar!. The employees get feedup and leave so don't get upset if they short or snippy. They under pressure and afraid to make a mistake. They don't want to hear Henick. He doesn't know how to talk to people. Henick only cares about money. He is Greedy client doesn't come first. I regret stepping into this office. Now Henick is encouraging everyone offering incentives for positive online reviews. Proceed with extreme caution don't trust office. Get everything in writing. Don't believe anything verbal.

If I could give them negative stars, I would! Came in for a FREE consultation. Gave them my information, proof of insurance ortho benefits, X-rays, even logged into the account. We only wanted a price for braces. We already knew that insurance would pay max $2k. I advised Henick and office, they assured me they would NOT charge me NOR insurance anything. Afterwards they never gave a price or explanation. We called them numerous times. Now we come to find that, surprise, they had billed insurance for ortho procedure that was NOT done!!! This office is a SCAM that LIES! We were warned by many not to trust the office or doctor to avoid and go elsewhere. When we tried to question the charge, they never returned calls or hung up on us. Beyond rude, unethical, ignored calls/questions, and even leaving the room while we were trying to get an explanation! Avoid at all costs! They appear to be desperate for money. $180 ripoff! Behind our backs too. Report to medical board Consumer affairs BBB government. They should get their license REVOKED!

I just got my braces removed and I am really happy about the results. I feel so satisfice with having straight teeth, now I can smile. I am fortunate to have Dr. Henick as my orthodontist, he took good care of me through out the years and the staff are really helpful and welcoming.

I got my braces here and it was a great experience. They always tried to do everything within their power to make sure that the process of wearing braces, which is naturally always quite bothersome and painful, way smoother and I felt like I could always count on my orthodontist to help me in case I was having any issues. I feel so great about how my teeth look now and I am finally able to smile fully showcasing my teeth, when before I would always want to cover my teeth at all costs. This is a great place, you can rest assured that if you want to change the way your teeth look and proudly show your smile this place will give you just that.
