Part of an Air Force family, Dr. Jos Brigman was born in Zaragoza, Spain and moved to San Antonio with his family when he was a teenager. He went to St. Marys University for his undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry. Afterwards, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Baylor College of Dentistry, the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Dallas.
Since graduating, Dr. Brigman has kept up with the latest techniques and technologies in the industry by completing numerous continuing education classes, including coursework in sedation dentistry and over 600 hours of orthodontic dentistry training. He is a member in good standing of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, San Antonio Dental Society, Hispanic Dental Association, and the American Orthodontic Association. He was also proud to receive the independent Consumers Research Council of America Top Dentist designation.
Dr. Brigmans greatest accomplishments and greatest joys in life are his marriage to his wife, Catherine, and their four beautiful children. Catherine White-Brigman, a native San Antonian, is a pediatric gastroenterologist and she works at Methodist Childrens Hospital. Dr. Brigman looks forward to getting to know you and your family, too.
Dr. Tracie Correa grew up in the Helotes area and attended Baylor University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Health Science Studies. She went on to attend UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Correa taught high school biology, chemistry, and physics.
Dr. Correa knew she wanted a career that would allow her to interact with and help people every day. She enjoys challenging her brain and problem solving and believes that dentistry combines all these aspects into one great career that is exciting and emotionally fulfilling.
Dr. Correa is excited to serve the community that helped raise her. Whether it is through eliminating a source of pain, restoring function, or improving self confidence by restoring smiles, it brings her great joy to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Outside of the office, Dr. Correa enjoys watching Baylor football, traveling, baking, eating, and spending time with friends, her four children, and her chocolate lab.

Exceptional!! Iliana (front office) was so friendly, polite, and understanding. Breanna (hygienist) was amazing! She was courteous, extremely professional, and did an outstanding job!! Dr. Correa is top notch! Blessed to have this Dentistry in Helotes. Thank you team for such amazing experience!!

To preface, this is based on the last several visits all of my family members have had separately at this office after long time of going here. Only posting this for anyone thinking about switching to this office as it has gone from one of the best to one of the worst. Previously, the staff was great. Always answered, always helped, and was always kind. More recently, however, after a change in certain staff members, the service from most has been awful. The phone is never answered either because the wrong phone number is posted both on google and the website or because the staff does not care to answer the phones anymore nor return the calls. Several times we have entered and not been helped for upwards of 10 mins because multiple staff members are too busy chatting away behind the counter right around the corner. We have been quoted different prices for work that needed to be done multiple times as well as accidentally being charged multiple times only to say money is still owed. And the only excuse they can come up with is "sometimes the insurance representatives lie" as they repeatedly talk over you when asking questions and leave you with no actual assistance. Cancelling appointments with no form of contact followed by more excuses. The list continues but overall the new staff in the front office is inconsiderate, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I would like to mention that the dentists and doctors are still pretty great, however, that is only noticed if you can get passed the terrible service upfront. Disappointing considering how great it used to be.

Sad to write this but 1) they never return a call 2) they don't answer their phone 3) they don't submit correctly to insurance 4) they have little front office help. We have gone to them for a few years now and will now never go back. My husband had an extraction and implant. When we tried to get the rest of the work completed, after being canceled without notification, and of course we had to take time to actually go up there bc again they do not answer the phone, they said we'd have to pay $600 for the rest of the work. I verified it with the insurance before his appointment. He went up there, taking more hours off work, for them to say they'd not do any work until we paid $1700 more on top of $1532 already paid. We have good dental insurance and I (being a nurse) keep track of bills, claims, etc. we are done with them, found another dentist, and filed a claim with the dental insurance bc come to find out they actually owed us money bc they overcharged us.

Honestly, I'm giving a four star only because Dr. Brigman himself is great. Apparently the staff is not the same front desk staff from before the pandemic. I tried in vein to get ahold of them. Whoever is in charge of appointments does not always return calls. Further, I have a busy schedule and hours are confined in such a way that they don't help people who work all day or can't get to a phone until a certain time. We literally played phone tag from May until August to try and book an appointment. My insurance was finishing August 31st. I was forced to knock out 19 cavities at a different dentist over a span of two days last week. Dr. Brigman himself was great; but the appointment setters need to get it together as they represent the doctor.

Went in for 1st visit today due to tooth ache which started while on vacation. Dr. Correa & Marisol could not have been more polite, friendly, caring and made me feel extremely comfortable. The exam & procedure were explained thoroughly and I was at complete ease throughout my visit. Can't thank them enough for their professionalism and demeanor and I left completely satisfied. Much appreciated. This will be my go to dentist office from now on.

The staff was kind but my insurance was been charged for invalid services; the same thing happened to one of my friends. It is disappointing that they manipulate their patients for insurance money.

Dr. Correa was very polite and courteous. Her examine was very thorough. In addition, Breanna, Dental Hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. The ambience in this dentist office is excellent. They make you feel at home all the way from the office staff to the dentist.

Efficient, friendly, gentle...what more could you ask for? Sarah is a joy up front and Lisa is the best dental hygienist I have ever had the pleasure of sticking very sharp objects in my mouth. I no longer dread my dentist appointments! Thanks so much!

The staff is friendly and experienced, there is little to no wait for scheduled appointments, and they will give you an estimate on more expensive/extensive dental procedures, as well as advise seniors getting ready for retirement on the best dental plans available.

Tried to make an emergency appointment for the next Monday online. I got a call in the afternoon badgering me for my insurance information. I didn't have the card on me, but know others on my plan that had been seen here and my wife and kids had been seen here. They couldn't find their files to pull the insurance number off it, and acted like I was lying about having insurance. So much for my family coming back here. Most frustrating experience trying to give a medical / dental office money in my life.

I had a complete restoration of all my teeth done at Helotes Family Dental. My mouth looks like something out of a magazine now. I could not be any happier with the expertise or sincere concern for my welfare from everyone work works there from start to finish.
