Education Dr. Helm received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating first in his dental class with highest distinctions in academics, research, and patient care. He went on to complete a three-year Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedic specialty residency at The Ohio State University to earn his orthodontic specialty certificate and Master of Science degree. In order to keep up on advances with orthodontic treatment, Dr. Helm attends many hours of continuing education training every year in the use of traditional braces, various orthodontic appliances, and Invisalign.
Private Practice Dr. Helm opened his private practice inGreen Valley Ranchin 2010, and has made it part of his practice mission to get involved and support the community events, schools, and young people of Green Valley Ranch. He chose the Green Valley Ranch area because of the strong community feel.

Life Outside of Practice Dr. Helm and his wife, Abby, have three young children who keep them busy riding bikes, going to the pool, playing sports, and enjoying life. In his free time, Dr. Helm volunteers teaching in the childrens ministry at his church, and he enjoys golf, softball, mountain biking, playing guitar, snowboarding, and cheering on the Denver Broncos! He is currently learning how to play the drums.
Published Research Dr. Helm has conducted research focused on bone biology and regeneration. He has presented this research nationally as well as internationally, and he was a finalist in the American Association of Dental Researchs respected Hatton Award competition. With over a decade of dental office management experience, she is an expert at helping families with their financial or insurance questions and concerns. You will notice Abbys caring and upbeat spirit when you walk through our door, and she has knack for making you feel right at home. Abby is a true Colorado nativeborn and raised in Littleton, Colorado. She absolutely loves being mom to her three young children.
Mariela has been a part of our team since 2017. She graduated from Heritage College Dental Assisting program. Mariela loves watching her patients smile transform every visit and is known for her positive attitude and outstanding communication with patients and parents. She loves spending time with her husband, her spontaneous little girl, and her dog, Rocky.
Melisa has been a part of our team since 2018. She grew up in Denver and graduated from the Colorado School of Dental Assisting. Melisa loves getting to know her patients and seeing their happiness once theyve reached the finish line of their treatment. She is best known for remembering every one of her patients and building relationships with them all. Melisa loves being mom to her baby boy and her two fur babies, Lyla and Buzz.
