Dr. Ansony Kim is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and the founder of Hello Smiles Pediatric Dentistry. Originally a Southern California native, but he fell in love with Northern California after graduating with a bachelors degree from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and later earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from UC San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Kim feels a deep connection with Oakley and its surrounding community because he grew up in a small town called Apple Valley which has many similar charming qualities as Oakley. As a young kid, he enjoyed going to the dentist and hopes to cultivate that same joy for his patients. After graduation, he matched at one of the top pediatric dental residency programs at Harvards School of Dental Medicine in Boston and trained at Boston Childrens Hospital for two years, where he served as Chief Resident. During this additional training, Dr. Kim worked with children with a wide variety of special medical and dental needs and became highly experienced in caring for all pediatric patients no matter how anxious or shy they may be.

A pediatric dentist, like Dr. Kim, is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and are skilled in diagnosing, managing, and treating complex dental conditions that may only occur with younger patients. Pediatric dentists take an additional two or three years of specialized training to focus exclusively on the oral health, growth and development of children. Just like a pediatrician is a doctor specific for children, a pediatric dentist is a dentist specific for children and adolescents.
Not all pediatric dentists are certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. The board certification indicates that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed an accredited training program and a voluntary 2-part examination process designed to validate the knowledge, skills and experience needed for the delivery of quality patient care of children.

This place is absolutely amazing! I was looking for a new dentist for my girls (10 & 13 years old) and this place was recommended by my daughters Orthodontist. Every member of the staff that we came in contact with was fantastic/kind/caring/patient. The office was very clean and my kids loved the balloon animals and all the goodies. Dr. Kim was awesome and took time to answer all our questions. We didn't even make it back to the car before my kids asked for Dr. Kim to be their new dentist.

My son is autistic so finding a dentist has been a challenge, let alone getting him out of the house when it comes time to actually go. Dr. Kim was so pleasant and kind and worked so well with my son. Son went back two days in a row no problem and even said he didn't mind, they were really nice. Found our go to family dentist in the area. Highly recommend

My daughter actually loves going in to see the dentist. The assistants are amazing with kids. The staff gets us in and out before my daughter starts getting impatient.

I never leave reviews but Hello Smiles goes above and beyond with their care for my daughter. She cried the whole way there but the minute we walked in the staff helped turn her around to smiles and laughter. I can't say enough great things about our experience and we can't wait to return in 6 months.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The waiting area is clean and comfortable and has a great play area for kids. The exam area is absolutely amazing, and I am so glad I found this dentistry!

Dr. Kim and staff are so awesome with the kids. My son had a very traumatic experience at 2.5 years old at a different office that he can't ever forget (he is 7 now) Dr. Kim has always been so good with making them feel comfortable during their visits. My son has finally eased up for his dental visits for the most part. I would definitely recommend this office for your little ones.I am so glad we found his office. I know exactly what this feeling is that my child had going to the dentist first hand. All it takes is one bad visit. It's so hard to find a trustworthy dental office these days which is so sad. I've visited multiple offices and some are mostly out there to get your money. This goes for pedi and general.

My 3 yearly toddler had a great visit!!! Everyone was very polite, friendly, and professional. Specially Damaris, she was amazing and so patient with my son!!! It was my 18month old's first pediatric dentist visit and it was a success! The front office is very friendly and the waiting area is clean with plenty of things to keep my little one occupied. Of course my Little was scared and was fussy but the staff was patient and calm. I didn't expect much out of a first visit but all my questions and concerns were addressed. The bonus was Dr. Kim made a balloon dog for her which she loved and she received a certificate for her very first dental visit.
