In our Glastonbury dental office, we have the advantage of offering patients comprehensive dentistry services from two skilled dentists, Dr. Brad Heim and Dr. John Carroll. Dr. Heim has offered general dentistry in Glastonbury since 1986. He has completed numerous continuing education courses to expand the range of services he offers, including being inducted as a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is also proud to offer dental sleep medicine services. Dr. Carroll has practiced dentistry in Glastonbury since 2001. As a member of the prestigious Spear Study Club, Dr. Carroll has continued to expand his knowledge and skill in reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. He also offers dental implant placement and restoration.
In order to fully repair your smile using a dental crown, you would traditionally have needed to visit us at least two times. As part of our dedication to providing high quality service, we have integrated the state-of-the-art, CEREC same day dental crown restoration system into your dental office. Using CEREC technology, we can design, craft, and place a dental crown, bridge, or other restoration milled from the best quality materials in just a single trip to our dental office.
In order to keep the cost of dentistry services within your budget, our knowledgeable team members are happy to process and file dental insurance claims for most major PPO providers, and we offer in-network dental insurance coverage for Delta Dental, United Healthcare, Guardian, Cigna, and Anthem BlueCross BlueShield.

For Dr. Heim, practicing dentistry is just as fulfilling today as when he first started over 35 years ago. Dr. Brad Heim had an unusual orthodontic problem during his childhood, so his parents took him to see Dr. Risinger, an orthodontist in Glastonbury. Dr. Risinger always took the time to explain what he was doing and answered all of Dr. Heims questions. Dr. Risinger became his role model, and he motivated Dr. Heim to pursue dentistry, as a career that would allow him to help people, work with his hands, and challenge his intellect at the same time.
Dr. Heim graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and completed a general practice residency at The University of Rochester. He joined the dental practice of Dr.William Liebman in Glastonbury in 1986.
Dr. Heims lifelong pursuit of continuing education has resulted in many awards. He achieved Mastership in The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2011. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in general dentistry. Less than 2% of general dentists in the United States are Masters with the AGD.
Dr. Heim is a Fellow of The Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA). The PFA is an International Dental Honor Society whose members are distinguished for their contributions to the dental profession and public service to the general community. He earned the Fellowship award from The Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) in 2016. The ALD strives to push the boundaries of dentistry and improve patient care through the use of lasers.
Dr. Heim achieved Diplomate status in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) in 2020. The AADSM is the leading national organization representing dentists who treat sleep-disordered breathing.
Dr. Heims interest in dentistry goes beyond the dental office. He serves the Connecticut community as clinical co-chair of Connecticut Mission of Mercy (CT MOM). He also serves internationally as a Board member of DDS International Incorporated, a non-profit organization providing free dental care to the underserved in Guatemala where he has provided dental care for the past 15 years.

On the recommendation of a fellow "nervous Nellie" at the dentist, I booked an appointment with Dr. Carroll. The whole experience was excellent. Completing my health forms online at home before my visit was easy and convenient. Dr. Carroll's kind and caring demeanor was greatly appreciated. It was calming to know that if I wanted to take a short break that all I had to do was raise my hand. I need some follow up work, which I anticipated, but I don't think I'll struggle to go back like I usually do. I felt like he listened to my concerns and respected my thoughts on how I wanted to proceed with treatment.

I've been a patient for quite a few years and have always been very satisfied and impressed by the thoughtfulness, professionalism and great attitude of every member of the practice. I recently experienced a minor dental "emergency" on a Friday and called the office at about 11am. They found a way to work me into an already full schedule and three hours later I was in a dental chair getting a needed repair. I really can't give enough praise to explain how highly I regard this dental practice. They're the best!!!

I have had issues with my teeth due to grinding my teeth from stress. Dentists tell me that they don't want to deal with my little ground down stubs. I went from dentist to dentist. When I spoke with Dr. Carroll, he was very kind and said he would help me. He did an amazing job on my teeth so far and I plan to go back for more! Dentists don't freak me out anymore! Dr. Carroll is very knowledgeable, capable and confident. His staff is very kind. This is what a Dentist office should be like --- AMAZING

I have been seen by both Drs. Heim and Carroll, and they are always extraordinarily professional and pleasant. When the bonding of one of my incisors came loose, Dr. Carroll was able to beautifully craft a new bonding the very next day that resulted looking spectacular. I would highly recommend these doctors for your dental needs.

All the staff are professional and polite. The hygienist (Nicky) is caring and knowledgeable. She will take the time to explain what she is doing and why. Doctor Heim is friendly and professional at all times. I am lucky to find this professional and caring practice.

My 6 month visit w/ Michelle my dental hygienist was spectacular. Michelle is thorough and helpful with my cleaning and always a delight to be around Dr Heim is a sterling dentist as he goes beyond his scope of practice and assesses for thyroid disorders and tmj issues. He is extremely knowledgeable about treatments and helpful but listens and answers appropriately. The staff is exceptional from the lovely receptionist and Stephanie who always will aide with any insurance issues Could never imagine beyond a pt in any other practice

Both the doctors and staff are very friendly and professional. My visit was a for a standard 6-month checkup with a hygienist. I was seen by my hygienist within minutes of my arrival, and she did a very thorough job and made my experience enjoyable as usual. The doctor saw me after the hygienist had completed her work and identified one further area that requires attention, and the staff scheduled me for a follow-up appointment within the next 2 weeks. Top marks go to everyone I interacted with, from the doctor to the admin who scheduled my next appointment. Five stars!!

Today was my first appointment, changing to Dr. Carroll after my previous dentist retired. He and the entire staff were absolutely fabulous - very friendly and thorough. They took their time to do a very comprehensive exam, showed me exactly what they were seeing on xrays and the exam, made recommendations and answered all my questions.
