Hi, my name is Kim. I was born and raised in Fayetteville and have lived here most my life. I graduated from Fayetteville Techs Dental Assistant program in 1987. I started with Hedgecoe Dentistry as a dental assistant for Dr. Joel Hedgecoe in 2003 and have recently transitioned to the front desk. I am married to Greg, a wonderful man, and we have a son and a daughter who are both in the army, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and one precious granddaughter. I enjoy reading, exercising, relaxing, spending time with my family and being involved in church activities. I couldnt imagine working anywhere else. My husband and I have lived in the area since 1994. He is now retired from the army and works in civil service. We have three grown children and one grandson. Hi! Im a Fayetteville North Carolina native and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College as a dental assistant in 1996. I started with Hedgecoe Dentistry in 2000 as Dr. Davids first assistant and worked chairside with him for ten years. I continued my dental education by graduating from the dental hygiene program at FTCC in May 2010. I had the pleasure of returning to the Hedgecoe family as a dental hygienist. My husband, Ed, and I have a wonderful son, Paul.
I am a Fayetteville native and graduated from Cape Fear High School and Fayetteville Technical Institute. I have practiced dental hygiene since 1975, and have been with Hedgecoe Dentistry since 1981. Hi, my name is Melissa. I have been in dentistry since I was 19 and soon decided I wanted to attend hygiene school after being a dental assistant. I attended dental hygiene school in Florida and graduated in 1999, and moved to Fayetteville shortly thereafter. Ive been married to my wonderful husband, Dan, for over 20 years and we have a teenage son. In my free time, Im usually traveling or working on home improvement projects. One of the many things that I love about our practice is the family atmosphere with both the staff and patients.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and am bilingual in English and Spanish. My family and I have been calling North Carolina Home since 2011. My name is Amy, and I was born and raised in Kannapolis, NC. I earned my Dental Assisting certification from Bowman Gray and worked in Charlotte for 10 years. After my first child, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom to my three wonderful children for 20 years. Now that theyve grown up, Im continuing my career in dental assisting with the Hedgecoe Team.
Born and raised here in Fayetteville, Dr. David Hedgecoe graduated from Terry Sanford High School and then went to Wake Forest University. While at Wake Forest, he earned 6 varsity letters, 4 in baseball and 2 in basketball. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity while at Wake and graduated in Health and Sports Science with a minor in biology. He went to dental school at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and graduated in 1998. While at UNC he earned the Academy of General Dentistry Award given to the most outstanding senior dental student, the American College of Prosthodontics Award, and the Academy of Dental Materials Award. After dental school he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Palmetto Richlands Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Then he returned to Fayetteville and began practicing with his father, Joel Hedgecoe.
He recently earned Accredited Status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, becoming just the 10th dentist in North Carolina to achieve that award since the Academys beginning in 1986. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, which honors dentists who have, by their actions, demonstrated an abiding interest and concern for their communities and profession.
Dr Hedgecoe is married to Claire, and they have three sons. He and his family maintain an avid interest in sports and outdoor activities. He has served on the Vestry at St. Johns Episcopal Church, and on the advisory committee for Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Dr. Chessica Allen Logue was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. She attended Fayetteville Academy from kindergarten through senior year and graduated in 2000. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2003. She earned her DDS degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill in 2008. She continued with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program completed at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2009. Dr. Logue joined Hedgecoe Dentistry as an associate in 2009 and became a partner in the practice in 2013.

Dr. Logue has one daughter, Brooke. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and her parents who still reside in Fayetteville. Dr. Logues father, Dr. Charles Allen, worked as a dentist in civil service at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville for 35 years after his military service.
Dr. Logue is a member of the Greater Fayetteville Dental Society. She is a member and has served on the board of trustees for the North Carolina Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Central Carolina Dental Continuum, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Joel Hedgecoe is originally from Tabor City, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1963 and the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1967. He served 2 years in the United States Air Force in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Hedgecoe opened his practice in Fayetteville in 1969.
Dr. Hedgecoe was married in 1967 to Margaret. They have a son, a daughter and five wonderful grandsons. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hunting, spending time at the farm, and watching his grandsons play ball.
Dr. Kevin Fortier is a North Carolina native and grew up in the Triangle area. After graduating from Holly Springs High School, Dr. Fortier attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a bachelors degree in Exercise and Sport Science with minors in biology and chemistry. He then moved to Raleigh to earn his masters degree in Physiology from North Carolina State University, while also working with a renowned oral and maxillofacial surgery group in Durham.
Dr. Fortier attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his DMD degree in 2021. While at Boston University, he founded the Dental Aesthetics Society where he brought world class speakers from around the country to speak about life-changing cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry; it was this connection that introduced Dr. Fortier to Dr. David Hedgecoe and Hedgecoe Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Fortier returned home to North Carolina and is currently completing his residency training at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, treating current and former United States military members.
North Carolina has always been my home, so there was no question where I wanted to go after finishing dental school. When it comes to dentistry, I cant think of any population more deserving than the proud men and women serving our country in the Fayetteville area, as well as our wonderful patients at Hedgecoe Dentistry.
Dr. Fortier is an avid sports fan and can be found cheering on his UNC Tar Heels, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots; you may also find him fishing off the New England coast, hunting in the Midwest with family, or any outdoor activity in-between. Dr. Fortier is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Central Carolina Dental Continuum.
