Dr. Heckman moved to Lexington in 2002 to pursue a career in dentistry at the University of Kentucky. He received his bachelor's degree from UK in 2006, then entered the DMD program at the UK College of Dentistry. Upon graduation in 2010, Dr. Heckman accepted a position as an associate dentist in Southeastern Kentucky.
Tiffany has been a part of the Heckman Dental family since August 2014. She graduated from Bluegrass Community & Technical College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2013 and earned her bachelor degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Health Science in 2015. Tiffany served as president for BGDDHA (Bluegrass District Dental Hygiene Association) from 2014-2015. She is an active member in the ADHA (American Dental Hygiene Association). Bethany joined our team as Assistant Manager in September of 2015. Bethany was recently promoted to Office Manager. She has experience with all aspects of a dental office from front to back, including her coronal polishing certification. She has worked the reception area and as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (certified from the Institute of Dental Technology) since 2012. Being a Nicholasville native, she enjoys raising her family in a close-knit community.
Carina joined the Heckman Dental team in March, 2017. Since beginning her career with us, she has acquired her radiograph certification and her coronal polishing certification. She is highly motivated and eager to expand her knowledge in the dental field.

Found this office through a friend, and we like to call it our "family dentist office". All of my friends go here, even though we live in Lexington. It's worth the drive. The staff are friendly and informative of what is happening with your care. Dr. Heckman is very nice & I love Tiffany the hygienist!

Absolutely the best. All my life I have had a fear of going to the dentist and that was complicated by my P.T.S.D. Form my first visit Dr. Heckman and his staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease of having my teeth worked on. The whole staff is just amazing. I really recommend Heckman dental to anyone that has a phobia of dentists. Thank you to all the staff.

Never thought I'd say this because I hate going to the dentist. But Heckman Dental makes it easier. Bethany and Tiffany are so kind and fun and they really make me feel welcome and they really care about me. Dr. Heckman is professional yet fun and it's the best dental experience I have ever had.

This is a great dentist office! They always make you feel like part of the family. It's reasonably priced with personalized service, a great combination especially if going to the dentist makes you feel uneasy.I highly recommend them!!

Love the staff! They treat my family and we've had great experiences every time we go there. From the receptionist answering the phone, to the dental assistants and Dr. Heckman himself, everyone is always nice. My kids love that Dr. Heckman can be a bit "goofy" to calm their nerves and get the treatment completed without any worries! Thanks team!
