I am Dr. Jerry Heck. I am originally from Payne, Ohio where I grew up on my dads grain farm. I went to Wayne Trace High School. I learned many of my life lessons working on the farm and playing basketball for my high school team. After high school, I attended The Ohio State University and received my Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. After graduating from OSU, I continued my education at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where I met my lovely wife, Michelle. We both graduated from dental school in 1996. We have been practicing dentistry in Brown County Ohio since 1997. We have really grown to love this area and the nice people of southern Ohio.
My wife, Michelle, is from eastern Kentucky and not only is she an amazing wife but she is also a great mom to our three children. Our faith is the foundation upon which we are building our family and our practice. Our relationship with God is our number one priority. Romans chapter 12 is our family chapter and thats where we spend a lot of family devotion time. We are members of the Georgetown Church of Christ. I am excited to see Gods Kingdom growing.
I have been blessed with a wonderful family at home and an amazing family at work. I love the people that God has brought to work beside me. They are not only my employees but my friends as well. My staff are great people and it is an honor to care for our patients together. We are committed to doing our very best to meet not only our patients dental needs but also their overall needs- including their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.
In 2014, me, a few staff members, and some friends from my church went on our first dental mission trip to the remote areas of the Amazon River in Brazil. Mission trips are those events that can change your life forever and I would say that was true for us. It was incredible to experience that trip and all of its challenges with some with some very special people. We are looking forward to our next dental mission trip together.
On a personal level, I am what I call an outside person. I love nothing more than being outside in Gods beautiful creation. I enjoy reading, hiking, hunting, mowing, boating or anything else that puts me outside. If I could do dentistry outside..I would!! If the weather is bad and I cant go outside, give me an old western or The Andy Griffith Show and I am a happy man.

I have had very bad experiences with dentist in the past! So when I had a molar become loose on me I wasn't too happy. I found Heck Dentistry on line thought I'd give them a try? The best dentist experience I've ever had!!! From the call to make the appointment to leaving the office after extraction!!! Highly recommend this office for any dental need!! I WILL be going back!!

I always have a great experience at Heck Family Dentistry. This is something small but I love the new headrests, doesn't mess up/flatten your hair. And they listen to your likes and dislikes about a visit to the dentist.

I've battled dentistry related anxiety since I can recall. Today was my first appointment at this practice. I've been to several practices in the past, which offered me no form of solace regarding my discomfort. For the first time I finally felt at home. It's not everyday that people actually take the time to see you as a person and take your inner most fears into consideration. I didn't feel rushed, I didn't feel like a number here. I'll definitely be coming back to this practice on a regular basis. Dr. Heck and Jesse were great! Thank you doesn't seem fitting.... But thank you!
