Dr. Winther is an exceptional dentist whom you can trust to provide the best care for you and your family. Over the past 11 years, Dr. Winther has been making people smile with her ability to effectively and efficiently treat her patients. She began her dental career at Santa Clara University where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended the University of the Southern California School of Dentistry to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree where she graduated with honors as a member of the Dental National Honor Society.
Dr. Winther is a member of the West Los Angeles Dental Society, California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. As a member of these prestigious organizations, Dr. Winther stays current with the latest technology and newest treatment techniques. She is also involved in the Esthetic Alliance Program and the Marina Study Club.
When she is not in the office creating beautiful smiles for her patients, Dr. Winther enjoys hiking the Santa Monica Mountains with her trusty dog Bella, running outdoors, and cruising along the beach path with her husband Robert Burnette to Manhattan Beach.

Dr Winther and her entire staff are incredible. This office is pretty booked up but Liz manages the schedule beautifully. She is so efficient. Always calls me if they have a cancellation. She has great communication. I've never had a payment / insurance /scheduling question that she couldn't answer. Dr Winther is hilarious, kind, gentle and always makes my comfort a priority. I get cramps from laughing so hard with her. Wonderful wonderful dentist. She was highly recommended to me by more than a handful of people and I completely understand why they all love her so much. Office is clean, bright & the view is stunning. Even the women at the front desk of the building has a radiant energy when you walk in. Long story short, a good dentist (& doctor) can be life changing and Dr Heather Winther is life changing. I hope this review helps you find a dentist!

Skilled, friendly, punctual, and trustworthy. Dr. Winther is the best dentist I've ever had. She obviously loves what she does and is such a pleasure to see even if it's for fixing a cracked filling or a sensitive tooth. She is very conservative in how she cares for your teeth and will not try to up-sell you on unnecessary crowns, veneers, or large fillings. That's one of the best markers of a fantastic dentist. I've asked about crowns for a couple teeth and she said to hold off for a few more years, saving me a lot of money. My previous dentists would have jumped at that opportunity. A few patches of bonding were all that was needed. Dr. Winther explains the work she's doing inside your mouth really clearly if your interested in the details, too. The whole team is friendly as well and you get the sense that they love working together. Can't wait for my next appointment.

Dr. Winther's office is the trifecta of 3 Bests: best care, best people and best views. Dr.Winther is extremely caring, professional, knowledgeable and fun (which you don't see often if ever in healthcare for some reason). The equipment she uses is top of the line, crowns are made right there at the office so you can get everything done in one visit, the assistants are mega-friendly and caring and every procedure is absolutely painless and even comfortable. The team working here feels pretty much like family from the first visit--never judging, always willing to take even the extra steps needed to help, always there and always happy to see you. And the views...I never thought I'd appreciate a dental office for views, but overlooking the peaceful marina with boats' masts gently rocking in the wind is somehow soothing and calming, only adding to the wonderful experience here. To sum it up, I was terrified of even thinking about going to the dentist for the longest time and now I am legitimately excited to go there. It's always a great day when it's dentist day for me. Full trust and admiration to for this wonderful group of highly skilled humans. Thank you guys!

Anyone that knows me, knows one and only my phobia...shots in my mouth at the Dentist....eeeek! Thank the Lawd, I haven't had a need for anything in quite a while. However, these old fillings are biting the dust now so I had to get one replaced. The good news is she had some cancellations today so right after I got my teeth cleaned, I was able to get 'er done which was perfect b/c I wouldn't have wanted to think about it and have to come back (I know...I'm such a wienie ) Dr. Winther was so thoughtful. She didn't even break out the needle till she was ready. I looked over Marina del Rey and the ocean and went to my happy place. Then closed my eyes, meditated and let her do her job. Her technique with the Novocain was ideal, I didn't feel a thing and in no time at all, I was done. I HIGHLY recommend her office to anyone!

My experience at Dr. Winther's practice has been good overall. I've never waited longer than 10 minutes, including when I arrived early for an appointment. Jennifer, the hygienist, is friendly and gives a thorough cleaning, and Dr. Winther is kind and personable. I've deducted one star because there is no parking validation, and parking at this building is rather pricey.
