As a Georgia native, Dr. Patel loves serving the people of Atlanta. After graduating from Duluth High School, he achieved his undergraduate degree in Microbiology at the University of Georgia. From there he went on to complete his advanced dental training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. During the early years of his career, he had the privilege of serving the people of Nashville alongside one of his mentors.

To ensure his patients are always getting the best and latest treatment, Dr. Patel is passionate about continuing education. He works hard to master the newest techniques on the leading edge of modern dental care. To that end, he is well on his way to achieving one of the highest distinctions in dentistry becoming a Fellow in the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry.

...Dr. Patel is the most genuine and straight to the point person Ive met. When I visited his office, I was in need of having an implant done which can be a very expensive and long process. Dr. Patel and his assistant Valerie were amazing during the entire process and made sure I was 100% happy before ever leaving the office. Not only was I actually happy, I was comfortable every time I was in the office.

Dr. Patel and his wife make their home in Atlanta with their 2 children, Mila (3 years old) and Liam (6 months old). In his spare time, he enjoys working out with his wife, strolling the city with his family, cooking and eating diverse cuisines with family and friends, and attending college football games. Whenever he gets the opportunity, you might also find Dr. Patel swinging a club on a course or practicing shots on a driving range to improve his golf game.

Originally from the Chicago area, Dr. Kansal graduated in three years from Indiana University, where he was on the Chancellor's List every semester. After college, he had his choice of dental schools and selected the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Following graduations, he went on to complete his residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC where he gained experience in advanced dentistry, surgical, anesthesia, family medicine, ENT, and emergency care.

Going way above and beyond the required standards, Dr. Kansal completes more than 100 hours of continuing education every year. He recently received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry - an accomplishment fewer than 10% of dentists worldwide achieve. He has studied with the top dental clinicians in the U.S. including the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Dr. Gordon Christensen, and Dr. Ross Nash among many others. He is a member of both the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Jay Kansal and his staff have been my primary dental care providers for many years now and I couldn't give them a higher recommendation. For his part, Dr. Kansal is a perfectionist, he will not let any detail escape his scrutiny, whether it be a simple filling or root canal and his ability to match colors is un-surpassed. His hygienists staff, who have treated me for many years are the best, especially one, who for not her excellent work could have provided the good Doctor with much more work.

When not in the office, you can find Dr. Kansal with his wife and twin children (5 years old) enjoying all Atlanta has to offer, or traveling. He's an avid reader and podcast listener (Tony Robbins being a top favorite!), and is constantly on a quest to educate himself.

Dr. Samira Jafari completed her undergraduate studies at Kennesaw State University, graduating Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology. She continued her education at Augusta University (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia), where she achieved her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While in dental school, she was chosen by faculty to serve as a tutor for the Fixed Prosthodontics course and she also received several awards including the Golden Molar award for having great hand skills in operative dentistry, an Award of Merit for Excellence in esthetic dentistry by the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry

Along with her husband and 2 children, Landon and Lana, Dr. Jafari lives in Johns Creek. She enjoys outdoor activities, trying new foods, and exploring new restaurants and cuisines in the city. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family. She also volunteers her time and dental skills to help serve the underprivileged population in our communities.

My mission is to provide my patients with gentle, caring, and comprehensive lifetime dental care. I believe in conservative and preventative dentistry and my goal is to increase the longevity of my patients teeth. What I love most about dentistry is that it combines my two passions of helping others and art. It also enables me to make a difference in patients lives, whether its getting someone out of pain or giving them a whole new smile and seeing how it transforms their personality and life.

Dr. Caitlin Mercke grew up in the Roswell area and is excited to be back practicing in Georgia. Dr. Mercke completed her undergraduate studies while being a student-athlete at Mercer University before completing her Masters in Biology at Georgia State University. She then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.

Dr. Mercke continues to seek out advanced training through a variety of continuing education opportunities. She is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry and is currently pursuing her Fellowship in General Dentistry.

'My goal is to be a personable, compassionate health care provider, keeping foremost my patients ' overall health and wellbeing in mind, while providing a non-stressful, positive dental experience in a comfortable, friendly environment. I enjoy the unique situation of each patient and the challenge of developing individualized treatment plans allows me the opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on each of my patients ' lives.'

In her free time, Dr. Mercke enjoys spending time with her family and is excited to be a mom to her two daughters, McKenna and Emersyn. Dr. Mercke also enjoys being active by going on hikes with her beagle, Elly, and playing soccer and basketball with her husband, Jack, who also happens to be a dentist and shares in her passion for the field of dentistry.

Born in India, Dr. Karan Thachil moved to Smyrna at the age of four. He earned his Bachelors in Cell Biology and Microbiology from the University of Georgia and his Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Georgia State University. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the Dental College of Georgia.

Dr. Thachils passion to deliver the best possible care drives him to stay on the leading edge of advancements in dental technology, techniques, and tools by continually pursuing ongoing clinical education and training opportunities.
