She graduated from the University of Pune, India with a Bachelors degree in Dental Surgery. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University, MA and completed a general practice residency at Westchester Medical Center, NY. She received a fellowship specializing in Dental Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthetics from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY. She received her Masters in Public Health, from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. She has also been on faculty at Columbia University.

She is currently affiliated with Jacobi Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she participates in the training of general practice dental residents. As part of her affiliation she provides dental care in the operating room to patients of the Rose F. Kennedy University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
