With over 15 years of experience in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Arpana Parti is committed to providing dentistry in a fun, caring, and efficient manner. She and her wonderful staff work with children for one reasonthey love kids. At Healthy Smiles, the goal is to guide these young patients and their families towards a lifetime of quality dental care.
Dr. Parti has lived and practiced dentistry in Bakersfield for nearly 20 years. She and her husband, local anesthesiologist Rajiv Parti, MD, have three children, Raghav, Ambika and Arjun. When she isnt working, Dr. Parti loves to travel, cook, and spend as much time as possible with her family.
Raised in nearby Bakersfield, California, Dr. Parti fell in love with dentistry early on working in her mothers dental office in high school. She went on to attend USC for her undergraduate degree, her masters in global medicine and then for her dental degree.
During her time at USC, Dr. Parti developed a passion for serving those without access to adequate health services. She spent much of her dental school time involved in the Mobile Clinic of USC helping providing free dental care to schoolchildren across Southern California. She was also heavily involved in the Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program, having traveled to Belize, Nicaragua and Cambodia. She continues to stay involved as a faculty member.
All of these experiences have instilled in Dr. Parti a drive to provide the highest quality of care to all of her patients. She especially enjoys working with young children and helping them address their fears of the dentist.
My names Jessica, I have worked with Dr. Parti for about a year now. I chose this office due to the fact that I love working and interacting with children. I am still a student, therefore my goal is to continue working in pediatrics, preferably in oncology sometime in the future.. My names Odalis, I have been an assistant for the past 5 years. I love my career in the dental field. My favorite part about being a pediatric dental assistant is seeing tiny smiles. I am a mother of a five year old little girl who loves to follow an oral hygiene routine, she teaches me a whole lot when it comes to how to treat our patients. Being in the field and seeing kids on the daily reminds me of my daughter, which makes me feel at home.
The dental field gave me more than just a career, it gave me an inspiration to strive towards becoming a dentist myself. I am a full time mom, assistant and student with a passion for what I do. I don't understand that a teeth cleaning and x ray will only take 20mins. And a teeth cleaning is brushing their teeth for them and flossing?? I mean they do that at home. I don't feel that the staff took their time at all. It's like get in and get out as fast as you can.

Would of like an after care pamphlets and any kind of pamphlet letting me know what they did exactly and what kind of medication or sedation was giving with effect jus like when going to the doctors they give u a pamphlet of everything they did.

The assistant was very helpful with the questions I asked about setting up the appointment for my son in 2 months. My son normally will start crying and screaming but she gave him sticker first before we began to take X-rays on his teeth.

Its horrible i will never take my kids there again ..they didnt let the sedation kick in my baby was screaming while they were straping him in ..tighed down arms legs with straps while my baby is screaming scared ..then i said no that is not right at all give me my son then they charged me 2oo dollars for medication sedation very very veryyyyy bad experience never again

Great office. I changed my daugthers dental provider after a horrible experience in san jose. This office is amazing. Brand new, iPads to keep the kids occupied while waiting. No pressure on my girl with the xrays, they didn't force her to do anything that hurt her. All of the employees were kind and helpful too. And the best part, ITS CLEAN!!!!!

For our first visit it went well. All The staff are pretty friendly. Its very nice inside. Very updated on everything. If you been there you know what i mean and if you havent. Well they got Tvs set up over head where the kids lay down for the check up so if needed im sure they play some cartoon for them. My daughter 2yr old is very active and she actually sat down while waiting in the waiting area cause she was watching The Incredibles. Nice first visit like i said.
