A native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Dr. Kinyatta Bennett was born in Biloxi and raised in Gulfport, MS where she graduated in 2001 from Harrison Central High School. Following graduation, Dr. Bennett attended MGCCC Jeff Davis campus and then transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS where she studied Biological Sciences with a minor in chemistry. Determined to achieve her goal of becoming a dentist, Dr. Bennett applied to and was accepted into dental school at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.
While in dental school, Dr. Bennett also embraced her love for giving back by participating in several missionary trips to help the impoverished in other areas of the world. After years of hard work, dedication and focus, Dr. Bennet received her DMD from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2010. Following dental school, Dr. Bennett married her long time best friend and classmate Dr. Christopher Bennett, D.M.D.
Founding Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry was a dream and goal for the young couple and both worked tirelessly to achieve it. With the untimely passing of Dr. Christopher Bennett in November 2014, Dr. Kinyatta Bennett has continued to devote many hours toward achieving the dream that she and her husband shared. Through labors of love and hard work, Dr. Bennett opened Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry (dedicated to the memory of Dr. Christopher Bennett, DMD) in Gulfport, MS an area in which Dr. Bennett in which has been practicing in Gulfport for the past 5 years. She is looking forward to continuing her service to the community with the opening of Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry.
Dr. Bennett, who is a member of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Society and Mississippi Dental Association, is known for tending to her patients in a caring and compassionate manner and with a gentle touch. She is the mother of three. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and volunteering. She has a passion for mentoring the youth and volunteers for different youth programs including the Boys and Girls club.
Ashley is the newest addition to the Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry Team. A desire to help patients achieve a beautiful healthy smile is what attracted her to dentistry. She completed her education locally in Gulfport, MS. Her gentle nature makes her a favorite with patients and her team members. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Tyler.
Erica graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Pearl River Community College in 2007. She received her Bachelor Degree in Allied Health at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012.
I love seeing patients of all ages and I feel that dental education is a very important part of what I do. She enjoys the opportunity to help our patients understand why complete oral care is so beneficial to their overall health.
Lonnie has 15 years of dental office experience. She was worked as a Dental Assistant, receptionist and billing and claims specialist. Lonnie received her training for Dental Assistance through the Red Cross at Keesler Air Force Base. She is CPR and Radiology certified.

We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. For patients who require major work, a complete payment plan is designed with an appropriate payment schedule. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or any major credit card.

I love the staff here. As a single mom who rarely makes time to care for myself and dental needs.. the staff never made me feel bad about it. I've cried in their chair as they hugged me and reassured me they were going to do everything they could for my teeth and get me out of pain. Will always always always go back.

What an awesome experienced at Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry! Dr. Bennett is the absolute best and she has such a great relationship with all of her patients! I often tell her she has such a gentle touch and annointed hands! The staff is superb and very professional! They really make you feel welcome and treat you like family there.. I had to go in to have two tooth extractions had to see Dr. Assad had to go home because her blood pressure was too high because of anxiety they gave me some medication to make me better the process was fantastic very appreciative for a very good professional service thank you
