Hazzouri Facial Aesthetics and Cosmetic Dentistry was established in 1949 by Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Sr. Since then, the name Hazzouri has become a household word among Scranton and northeast Pennsylvania-area residents, synonymous with the very best in dental care and affordability.
Following in his fathers footsteps, his son has become an outstanding cosmetic dentist in the Scranton Wilkes/Barre area. Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Jr. says, In our office, we share two simple beliefs. Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Jr. graduated from Scranton Preparatory School, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and his Master of Science in biochemistry from the University of Scranton.
Dr. Hazzouri is a diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Society of Osseointegration, and a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Society, and the Scranton Dental Society.
The doctor has also been honored by his peers with memberships in the Periodontal Honor Society, the Endodontology Honor Society, the Oral Surgery Honor Society and the St. George Oral Cancer Society.
Dr. Hazzouris lifelong friend and longtime classmate, Dr. Louis A. Genello, is a partner at Hazzouri Dental, adding his own skill and experience as an excellent cosmetic dentist to our Scranton/Wilkes-Barre-area practice. Dr. Genello and Dr. Hazzouri grew up in the same neighborhood and graduated from Scranton Preparatory School and the University of Scranton together. They not only work together, but also share many of the same interests.
Dr. Genello received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Scranton, where he was a member of the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Honorary Chemical Society. He earned his doctorate in dental surgery at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia. He is certified in dental implant restoration, and has over 37 years of expertise in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. In his continuing education, he has focused mainly on the field of implantology, having achieved over 100 hours in implant placement and restoration courses.
Dr. Genello is a member of the Endodontology Honor Society, the Oral Surgery Honor Society, Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dentistry for Children, Pennsylvania Dental Society, Scranton Dental Society and the American Institute of Implantology.
Dr. Genello is also an accomplished marathon runner, just having completed his 25th marathon, including the Marine Corps, New York, and Boston marathons. He is an avid outdoorsman and has traveled the world pursuing his passions, including skiing and motorsports. Dr. Genello resides in Scranton with his wife Susan and has three children, Anthony, Andrea and Ashley.
Dr. Ryan Rebar, DMD, was born and raised in the Mid Valley area. After completing his DMD at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University, he returned home to join Hazzouri Facial Aesthetics and Cosmetic Dentistry. Ryan shares the same vision as Doctors Hazzouri and Genello, which is to ultimately provide quality dental care. He provides a caring atmosphere and respects every patient that walks through the door.
Barbara is proud to bring over 45 years of experience and education in the dental field to the patients at Hazzouri Dental. She has been thrilled to witness generations patients with their questions, concerns and needs! She is grateful to be part of the state-of-the-art facility at Hazzouri Dental and loves the connections she makes with patients.
She has three daughters and six grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys domestic travel, especially to famous movie filming sites. She has also visited over 120 national parks in the last 20 years.
Bridget obtained her degree in dental assisting from Daymar College in Clarksville, Tennessee and received EPTA training at University of Tennessee in Memphis. She likes working at Hazzouri Dental because the practice feels like a family. She brings her knowledge of implants and her kind, caring touch with patients to work every day.
Bridget is the mother of two children. Her daughter has a Ph.D in public health and works in environmental epidemiology, and her son is proudly serving our country in the United States Navy. When she is not hard at work, Bridget enjoys running in half-marathons and Spartan races.
Krista has been with Hazzouri Dental for eight years. She enjoys being part of the practice because she loves helping patients achieve beautiful smiles! She maintains patient accounts and all insurance claims so that patients receive the optimum benefits they deserve. She graduated from Fortis Academy with a degree in medical billing.
Laurel brings 10 years of experience to the patients at Hazzouri Dental. She graduated from Luzerne County Community College in 2009 with her associate degree in dental hygiene. She appreciates the family environment at Hazzouri Dental and that the team loves working together!
Riley has been working at the front desk since 2020! She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from St. Josephs University. She likes working at Hazzouri Dental because of the family-like environment among the team members, and she enjoys helping patients facilitate all of their dental needs!

One technology we use to care for you and your skin is Morpheus8. Morpheus8 is a microneedling device that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to contour and remodel the face. It can penetrate deep into the skin to give you a smoother appearance that lasts. It is a minimally invasive treatment that can target the deep layers of the skin with little to no damage.

Dr. Hazzouri (who has worked on my teeth and my families teeth for a decade) the team and the Doctors have always done excellent work. From character to procedure, Hazzouri Dental's priority is for a patient to feel comfortable, prior, because they understand that dental work can be a big stress for anyone. I called to see if they took my insurance.. the lady who answered was EXTREMELY disgustingly RUDE! Life has been rough since I lost my job and my kids being on state insurance is NOT enjoyable to begin with! But it's even worse when someone who claims to be a professional insults me about it! I said ohh noo I think i need a different company because no one seems to except mine.. she pointed out that's BECAUSE I have state insurance... ill make sure to tell ALL my friends

I've been going to Hazzouri Dental for a couple years. I'm now discussed with them. One time they told me a price to pull a tooth. When the insurance bill came they charge me extra for a shot that wasn't in the itemized cost and I wasn't asked if I want. I just had a cap put in and I requested the cost out of pocket for me. At the time/day of the appointment they provided what it would cost. Today they sent me a bill and wanted $60. some dollars more and didn't want to hear anything about the overcharge. They just wanted their money. Another thing that makes me upset is the billing person comes in while I'm in the dentist chair and wants to be paid. Sometimes before the procedure. Never had a dentist office do this in my life and previous dentist din't want anything over the insurance cost. In some instances they'd bill you after they received payment from the insurance. They take x rays every year, yet I still end up with decay and tooth chipping off. They're not any better than the last dentist I had. They always seem to want to do some kind of dental work since I have insurance. They previous asked to copy my drivers license which they have no right to. I value my personal information. I plan on finding another dentist.

Dr. Genello is a great dentist, but I was extremely uncomfortable when interacting with Dr. Hazzouri. He asked me very personal questions about where I live, where I'm from, what I like to do, etc. to which I gave one word answers. He called me dear. Patted me on the leg. I will not be returning because of these interactions.

Dr. Houzzouri has always gone above and beyond for me. I have been a patient for 10 years and he always made sure when I was leaving his office I was ok. I own a restaurant so he always worked with my schedule. Always asking how my business is doing. His staff is also great. Easy 5 stars

They messed my first root canal up so had them do it again. IT STILL NOT RIGHT. They decide they wanna charge me for they're mistakes. There terrible. They send me the bill for it every week I throw it away I should take them to court

I cannot sing enough praise for this practice. I have never had a pleasant experience at a dentist office before EVER till now. The people are amazing and incredibly kind at hazzouri. They talk with me check on me constantly to make sure I am comfortable. they go over everything with me in detail to help me make decisions on my care and they even helped me understand how insurance and copays work(my husband usually took care of that part). After my first appointment someone called to see how I was feeling. I've never had a dentist office do that ever before! Wonderful people Excellent care 0 complaint from me

Dr. Hazzouri and Dr. Rebar are absolutely wonderful! They are kind and really care about how happy you are with your teeth are have no problem taking breaks and giving you more numbing if you start feeling anything. Dr. Rear asked me multiple times during the process if I was ok or if I was feeling any pain and the smallest sign I was he stopped numbed me and sat there waiting with me until I was numb! First time I can say in my entire life I was excited and happy to go to the dentist and sit in that chair! And the assistants and office staff are just as polite and courteous! 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

I am a new patient. Dr. Hazzouri and his staff are beyond accommodating and friendly! I have an intense fear of dental work but wouldn't hesitate to go back. The work that I had done today was amazing and pain free!!
