Hazzouri Facial Aesthetics and Cosmetic Dentistry was established in 1949 by Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Sr. Since then, the name Hazzouri has become a household word among Scranton and northeast Pennsylvania-area residents, synonymous with the very best in dental care and affordability.
Following in his fathers footsteps, his son has become an outstanding cosmetic dentist in the Scranton Wilkes/Barre area. Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Jr. says, In our office, we share two simple beliefs. Dr. Albert A. Hazzouri Jr. graduated from Scranton Preparatory School, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and his Master of Science in biochemistry from the University of Scranton.
Dr. Hazzouri is a diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Society of Osseointegration, and a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Society, and the Scranton Dental Society.
The doctor has also been honored by his peers with memberships in the Periodontal Honor Society, the Endodontology Honor Society, the Oral Surgery Honor Society and the St. George Oral Cancer Society.
Dr. Hazzouris lifelong friend and longtime classmate, Dr. Louis A. Genello, is a partner at Hazzouri Dental, adding his own skill and experience as an excellent cosmetic dentist to our Scranton/Wilkes-Barre-area practice. Dr. Genello and Dr. Hazzouri grew up in the same neighborhood and graduated from Scranton Preparatory School and the University of Scranton together. They not only work together, but also share many of the same interests.
Dr. Genello received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Scranton, where he was a member of the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Honorary Chemical Society. He earned his doctorate in dental surgery at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia. He is certified in dental implant restoration, and has over 37 years of expertise in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. In his continuing education, he has focused mainly on the field of implantology, having achieved over 100 hours in implant placement and restoration courses.
Dr. Genello is a member of the Endodontology Honor Society, the Oral Surgery Honor Society, Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dentistry for Children, Pennsylvania Dental Society, Scranton Dental Society and the American Institute of Implantology.
Dr. Genello is also an accomplished marathon runner, just having completed his 25th marathon, including the Marine Corps, New York, and Boston marathons. He is an avid outdoorsman and has traveled the world pursuing his passions, including skiing and motorsports. Dr. Genello resides in Scranton with his wife Susan and has three children, Anthony, Andrea and Ashley.
Dr. Ryan Rebar, DMD, was born and raised in the Mid Valley area. After completing his DMD at the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University, he returned home to join Hazzouri Facial Aesthetics and Cosmetic Dentistry. Ryan shares the same vision as Doctors Hazzouri and Genello, which is to ultimately provide quality dental care. He provides a caring atmosphere and respects every patient that walks through the door.
Barbara is proud to bring over 45 years of experience and education in the dental field to the patients at Hazzouri Dental. She has been thrilled to witness generations patients with their questions, concerns and needs! She is grateful to be part of the state-of-the-art facility at Hazzouri Dental and loves the connections she makes with patients.
She has three daughters and six grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys domestic travel, especially to famous movie filming sites. She has also visited over 120 national parks in the last 20 years.
Bridget obtained her degree in dental assisting from Daymar College in Clarksville, Tennessee and received EPTA training at University of Tennessee in Memphis. She likes working at Hazzouri Dental because the practice feels like a family. She brings her knowledge of implants and her kind, caring touch with patients to work every day.
Bridget is the mother of two children. Her daughter has a Ph.D in public health and works in environmental epidemiology, and her son is proudly serving our country in the United States Navy. When she is not hard at work, Bridget enjoys running in half-marathons and Spartan races.
Krista has been with Hazzouri Dental for eight years. She enjoys being part of the practice because she loves helping patients achieve beautiful smiles! She maintains patient accounts and all insurance claims so that patients receive the optimum benefits they deserve. She graduated from Fortis Academy with a degree in medical billing.
Laurel brings 10 years of experience to the patients at Hazzouri Dental. She graduated from Luzerne County Community College in 2009 with her associate degree in dental hygiene. She appreciates the family environment at Hazzouri Dental and that the team loves working together!
Riley has been working at the front desk since 2020! She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from St. Josephs University. She likes working at Hazzouri Dental because of the family-like environment among the team members, and she enjoys helping patients facilitate all of their dental needs!
