Highly recommend...they are a family practice and just so sweet! Dr. Josh is very patient and great about explaining things. He'll take the conservative route when possible and is never pushy. The office is clean, nice, and bright...and just a great experience overall.

I'm not usually one to review a dental office but this one definitely warrants it. Nice space, tastefully appointed, clean, and personable staff are the first things you notice walking in. Boutique comes to mind. (I'm used to the big chain dental offices, this is NOT that) It was also the most educational dentist appointment I've ever had. Dr. Kim took the time to walk me through everything he was seeing, why it may be that way, and what behaviors I could take to change/improve it. I learned so much! I felt comfortable enough to talk with him about anything I could do to whiten my smile (very self conscious about it) since OTC treatments were not effective. After some questions about any teeth sensitivity I might have he recommended a custom set of trays and a whitening gel. He took a 3D scan of my teeth and and they called me once it arrived in the office. I used it as prescribed and unbelievably my smile is white again! I haven't had a smile so white since I was a kid. (avid coffee drinker) I had given up! I can't recommend this place enough. Comfortable, compassionate care!

I had a great experience at Hazelnut Dental. Even as a new patient, they scheduled me right away. Dr. Kim provided me with useful advice for my tooth issue and the whole dentist office was very clean, quite, and professional.

Dr. Kim is wonderful. I was very nervous after many years without dental care. I'm glad I picked Hazelnut Dental! Dr. Kim was friendly, and gentle. Dr. Kim is a great guy, but they tried to SCAM me & my parents!! Went in & had some cleanings done & some fills a little over 1yr ago & we decided to find somewhere closer to Salem. Went to a new orthodontist to start Invisalign & they said i didn't have any ortho credit because it had already been used which we knew was not true. Come to find out, Hazelnut charged us for ortho work, me & my mom ($3000 total!!!). This is on top of having them having us pay $1000+ out of pocket already! My mom had a difficult time getting into contact with them to figure out what happened. For some reason, they did not want to speak with her (probably because they know what they did was WRONG). She went through insurance directly to see what she needed to do which was to have Hazelnut send the money back to the insurance company which the they STILL haven't received the full amount back yet. We didn't know this until a whole year later & ONLY because I went to get my ortho work started. They wanted it kept under the rug. No telling how many others they've done this to & were successful with it!! Be careful, you've been warned. P.S: Hazelnut, no need to email us again saying you do not like my review. Truth hurts sometimes! Don't try to scam people & maybe i wouldn't need to leave this review. Your response to my review is appreciated I guess; however, my position on this situation stands. There's clearly 2 sides to every story, this one here proves it. Wish your company the best in the future.

I have not been to the dentist in 25 years. But, on the recommendation of many friends, I made an appointment for a checkup at Hazelnut Dental. Dr. Kim took time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. Although I definitely needed a cleaning, the procedure was painless! Dr. Kim was so gentle and made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. I will definitely be back for regular cleanings and highly recommend Hazelnut Dental!

Dr Kim and Mimi are amazing. The entire staff has been so accommodating for our family. It's so hard to find a dentist that shows they really care, and we have been so happy to be Patients here. They have gone above and beyond to make sure we are cared for-most recently they saw my husband when he had a dental emergency and although it make their schedule tighter, they made it happen no problem. Thanks Dr Kim and Mimi-you guys are the best!!!

I'd give Hazelnut Dental 10 gold stars if I could :) A welcoming office environment, Dr. Kim and Mimi do exceptional and proactive work explaining procedures, allaying concerns, scheduling, the whole gambit. I feel extremely lucky to have discovered Hazelnut Dental and plan to continue with them as my provider as long as possible.

Great dentist and professional team! What a lovely couple, Dr. Kim is a professional dentist and Mimi is the lovely receptionist. I just got my teeth cleaned and checked, Dr. Kim gave great advice and did a great job on my teeth. Their office is very clean and cute. Bright, well decorated and their couch is quite comfortable. Mimi gave a friendly and helpful call before my appointment to remind me. She also was a great help, going above and beyond to help me figure out insurance details. I have already made my next appointments! Happy with my experience at Hazelnut Dental!

Dr. Josh and Mimi are wonderful! They really take care of their patients, make you feel at ease and keep a very clean and sterile office. During pandemic times, and even before, the office and exam rooms are kept clean. And now, they're taking extra precautions like limiting people in the lobby, pre-screening and deep sterilization of rooms between patients. All of which is much appreciated! Dr. Josh keeps up with all the latest and greatest dental tech and incorporates it into his practice. I'd recommend anyone looking for a new dentist or a change in care to check them out. I'm very selective in my healthcare provider team and glad to have found them.

As someone who has not got in for a cleaning since I was kicked off my parent's insurance at 26, I was a bit nervous to choose a new dentist in my network. Luckily, Hazelnut Dental was a great pick. Mimi and Dr. Kim are great people -- helpful, pandemic safe, and super friendly. So glad my wife chose their office!

I have been a patient with Hazelnut Dental for two cleanings now. In fact, my whole family of five has now moved to Hazelnut. All 5 of us agree, they have given us the best experience as dental patients we've ever had. Dr. Kim is so mindful about the potential for pain and discomfort that he checks in regularly during procedures and responds with kindness, care, and patience. I especially appreciate how he explains, with such clarity, exactly what's happening with our teeth/gums/mouth, that our family members feel a deeper understanding of how to and why we need to care for our oral health. Mimi at the front desk is friendly, responsive, and on top of the logistics of the office. I really appreciate how effective she is at navigating the complexities of our health/dental insurance and referrals. Additionally, the care at which they follow through with their COVID safety measures is impressive!! We feel 100% safe in their office because of their diligence and discipline with cleanliness and safety. There are obviously many good dental offices here in the West Side, but I don't think you'll find another one that does so many things so well, and so right. I confidently and fully recommend Hazelnut Dental to anyone seeking a new dentist!

I browsed dental recommendations on Nextdoor looking for dentists that can manage someone like me with extreme dental anxiety. About 5 people referred me to Dr. Kim! So glad I found him. He is very skilled, knowledgeable and gentle. He is also extremely honest and will not recommend treatments unless absolutely necessary. I've found my new dentist. Mimi runs the front of the house and is so friendly and responsive to calls and emails and handling insurance issues. And they are only letting in one patient at a time due to COVID. I was very worried about exposure in a dental office since you can't wear a mask, but they are doing it absolutely safely! It is a very clean and modern space with all the shiny new equipment. I will definitely be referring my friends and family to Hazelnut Dental.

I've been putting off going to the dentist as my previous dentist nearby was a nightmare. In passing, I was introduced to Hazelnut Dental by a close girlfriend of mine. I have to say, Dr. Kim was everything she said he would be! Just so so nice and answered my laundry list of questions. He genuinely cared about my concerns and reassured me. He was attentive and asked if I was okay throughout the whole cleaning. I am soooooooo thankful to have found this gem of an office!!! They are taking COVID-19 precautions to a whole new level. They are only letting one patient into the office at a time which I really appreciated. The front desk gal was very warm and inviting. She really seemed to validate and care for my fear of the dentist. I really appreciated her walking me through what would happen during the first visit. She was also really helpful in getting my insurance figured out before my first appointment. I really couldn't have asked for a more perfect dental appointment. I plan on bringing my whole family as we are all overdue for our 6 month check ups. I would 101% recommend this office to anyone looking for a trustworthy and gentle dentist and staff. Thank you Dr. Kim and staff!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB!!!
