I went to Dr. Hazelgrove recently for the first time and I was extremely pleased. I was going to have surgery in a week and needed to see a dentist before surgery; they were extremely accommodating. My dentist had recently retired so I was scrambling to find a new one. His staff is absolutely wonderful; so helpful! Dr. Hazelgrove is impressively thorough, an excellent listener, great with communication and a stellar dentist. Nicole, the young lady responsible for billing, is on her game too. She has been soooo helpful. I am happy happy and have painlessly found my new dentist. I only wish that he was a bit closer to me but parking was easy. A nice, clean office too:) I highly recommend.

As one who has been challenged by gum disease, dentist visits were a source of anxiety, discomfort and dread. Dr. Hazelgrove has completely changed that experience for me. In addition to his professionalism and competence, Dr. Hazelgrove's demeanor, courtesy and care for his patients is singular. I have never had any physician who has made me feel as comfortable and fully confident in my care. I unequivocally recommend Dr. Kirk Hargrove. A. Thompson

My first time at this office. The receptionist never acknowledged me. Never asked if I completed my paperwork or anything. Being African American i immediately felt disrespected.

I've been through a few dentists and I'm finally relieved my search is over. Dr. Hazelgrove does amazing work. I've had crowns installed by multiple dentists in the past and I was never satisfied with the result, hence the reason for the frequent change. This office checks all the boxes! It's refreshing to actually deal with kind, considerate, and courteous staff. The hygienist that performed my routine cleaning is sensational! She is very meticulous and gentle throughout the procedure. In fact, I believe their process should be the standard for all practices. And finally, Dr. Hazelgrove is truly the best dentist I've experienced. He is comprehensive with his examinations and the crown work he performed was outstanding. The fit, bite, look, and feel is superb. Lastly, I had an emergency when I cracked my tooth. His staff was able to fit me promptly to help me. Really is the best practice in the area!

Amazing Dr. and staff! They squeezed me in for an emergency visit and didn't make me feel rushed. The staff was as professional and courteous as can be. Dr. Hazelgrove was initially a referral from a friend. But he has gained me as a patient after this visit for sure. Highly recommend him and his staff!

I have been a patient under Dr Hazelgrove's care for over 10 years now and he is simply amazing. When I first went into his office by the old location over at Tuckernuck shopping center I noticed this painting on the wall. It looked like a child had painted some background and a doctor. Written was "Dentist". When I sat down on his chair for the first time, I asked him who had done the picture on the wall assuming it was one of his kids. To my surprise he said it was him when he was only 6 years old. Right there and then, I knew I was in good hands and I knew he was a great doctor. I had struggled to find a good dentist prior to meeting Dr Hazelgrove and everytime I need his help, he goes above and beyond for me. He truly cares and he is surrounded by an amazing staff, Vicki is always ready to answer any questions I may have and she is also amazing to deal with. I always refer Dr Kirk Hazelgrove to everyone I know and as long as I live in Richmond, I will be his patient.

Dr. Hazelgrove is one of the best dentist that I have ever had. Since 2004, I have been his patient. Dr. Hazelgrove and his staff are always friendly and professional. I am thankful for how patient and gentle he is when performing dental work, which alleviates my anxiety. His work is done right and lasts. He also takes time to clearly explain/address issues or procedures so that I understand. Truly Dr. Hazelgrove has a passion for his profession and values the well being of his patients.

Great dentist!! He is so gentle and does great work. I had a problem with my tooth over the weekend and he actually called me back right away to help me. I cant think of any other dentist in the past that has ever bothered to call me back when you call their "emergency number". That meant a lot to me that he cared enough to help me when I needed it on his time off. He is such a caring and competent dentist and I highly recommend him!!

Terrible fraud! I have previously had two root canals and at least ten fillings done, went and received two second opinions before getting anymore work done by him and both said that the work he suggested was completely necessary. My first root canal was not filled all the way to the roots which then caused an infection, therefore having to get the tooth extracted and an implant placed. Made me waste tons of money that was not needed! The clientele is horrible! RUN FAST!

I have been with Dr. Hazelgrove since 2010. Everyone in his practice is caring and professional, the equipment and software they use is modern. Dr. Hazelgrove came up with a treatment plan and he was considerate of the expense side of it as well. He never push me to get work done asap or spend lots of money on low priority work. So over the years, he fixed my teeth working from high to low priority teeth, that helped me to save two teeth instead of getting implants. He always upfront about the work he is doing on my teeth, answers questions fully and explains the reason for procedures he suggests. I referred a couple of folks to his practice and everyone's been good about it. I am sorry for Megan's experience, and no doctor is perfect, but I know Kirk does all what he can to offer good service. No doctor has 100% control of our health or condition of our teeth as many problems are genetically inherited or result from our not so healthy life choices. Doctors help us to stay healthy, yet they are not in charge of our health, we are. So I hope you will check out his practice if you look for a great dentist in Richmond.
