Dr. Hawksford graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1982. She has dedicated her professional career to providing her patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. She achieves this through many advanced training and continuing education courses. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Wisconsin Dental Association. Dr. Kay keeps her mornings full by starting out her day with a brisk walk with her dogs. Being an animal lover, Dr. Hawksford supports the local humane society. Dr. Hawksford and her family spend most of their spare time outdoors enjoying all the benefits of living in this great area.
Dr. David Ascher, originally from the western suburbs of Chicago, IL, graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1987. In 1991 Dr. Ascher received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University Dental School. He has his own practice in Bartlett, IL for over 20 years. Dr. Ascher and his family have been vacationing in the Hayward area for over 25 years and have decided to move here permanently. When hes not in the office seeing patients, you can find him typically hunting or fishing.
Ashley graduated with Chippewa Valley Technical College with an Associates Degree in Administrative Assisting. She has been with our office since 2010 and can be found at the front desk assisting patients, but can also catch her helping out in the back when needed. During her spare time, she especially likes spending time with family and friends and her best girls, Piper her 1 year old German Shepherd, and her old girl Gretchen who is a Mastiff. Youll be more likely to catch her outside in the warmer months of the year enjoying the activities this wonderful area offers.
Jen is a graduate of Lake Superior College and has been with our office since 2007. She is married and has two sons, whom she and her husband spend most of their free time with. Jen enjoys going for walks and spending time outdoors.
Suzi and her husband, originally from Southern Wisconsin, moved to Hayward in 2018 after living in Colorado for 30 years. They raised two sons in Colorado. Suzi graduated from Pueblo Community College in 2002 with an Associates in Dental Hygiene. She has worked in Dentistry since 1983. She enjoys watching the Packers and Badgers, walks with her dogs, kayaking, and fishing.
Mikayla grew up in New Richmond, WI and later was a graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. In 2014, Mikayla achieved the Certified Dental Assistant title through the Dental Assistant National Board. She joined our office in 2016. Mikayla enjoys the outdoors including fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves the Minnesota Wild Hockey.
Kathy joined the office fall of 2020. She and her husband have 2 adults sons, 2 wonderful daughters-in-law, and 1 long awaited grandson who is 2. Kathy enjoys spending time with family, boating, fishing, gardening, hiking, and scrapbooking.
Kara joined the office in Fall of 2021. She graduated Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College with an Associates Degree in Nursing in 2017. After working as a Registered Nurse for a few years, she decided to pursue a career in Dental Assisting. Kara enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her German Shepherd doing activities outdoors including hiking, fishing, gardening and many other outdoor activities all year round.

Hawksford Dental clinic is the most professional dental clinic I've ever been to. The dentists there are extremely knowledgeable and make you feel that you're the priority instead of the bottom line.

Being new to the area my family is looking for a local dental office we can get started working with. I went to the Hawksford Dental website and filled out information stating I would need a cleaning and am having an issue with a tooth. Eight days later I received an email that read "We are closed through next week due to equipment/cabinet installation. Sorry! Carrie Jo" I am absolutely shocked by the lack of customer service this dental office has shown me. There was no follow up and absolutely no interest in helping me whatsoever. I do not know who our local dentist will be, but I can guarantee that it will not be Hawksford Dental. If I could give this review a zero star rating, that would be a true representation of their customer service rating.

Being new to the area my family is looking for a local dental office we can get started working with. I went to the Hawksford Dental website and filled out information stating I would need a cleaning and am having an issue with a tooth. My experience thus far with Hawksford Larson Dental care has been amazing. They make you feel welcome right when you walk through the door. Highly recommended if you want a place that cares! They get the job done, and done well.

I would never use this place again. The office Manager Carrie is the rudest unprofessional person I have ever met. My daughter went to them for dental services and they billed us. Our daughter is 21 and just because she is on our insurance does not make us liable for the bill. They should have changed the guarantor which they did not do. After telling them that they needed to bill the services to the correct person the office manager Carrie became very rude and wanted to know when payment would be made. I told her to bill it to the right person and then she would get paid. She then loudly stated not to use there services again. She is not up to date on the practices for billing regarding insurance and I would never go there or recommend them to anyone.

I usually do not write reviews, but I had the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist with my daughter. I brought my 3 year old in for a simple fluoride treatment (she sees a pediatric dentist that is an hour and a half away). The dental hygienist saw our intake form, knowing my daughter was afraid of the masks and put one on anyway. Then, Hawksford came into the room and proceeded to yell at my daughter to stop crying, took a mirror and said, "This is what you look like when you are crying," and then asked me what was wrong with her and if she's been through trauma. Finally I stepped in as things were escalating and told her she was making it worse. She then stood up, and said, "Ok! Well if I'm making it worse then we are done!" Pushed her chair very firmly and stormed off. I picked up my things and left immediately. No treatment for my daughter. I asked where to file a formal complaint and the front desk person told me to send in a letter. My daughter has been to the dentist several times and is usually upset, but calms down after the treatment. We have never seen anything quite like this. Needless to say, I will NEVER bring my child here again. I will also be making my experiences known to anyone that is seeking dental care in the Hayward area. I DO NOT recommend you or your child to go here.
