Hawkins Orthodontics opened in 1999. Dr. Michael Hawkins prefers a conservative approach to orthodontics and emphasizes single-phase treatment whenever possible. He uses the latest orthodontic materials and technology, resulting in shorter treatment times and fewer office visits for patients and their families.

He became interested in dentistry after a wrestling injury in high school. He was patched-up by some talented, dedicated medical and dental professionals who turned that negative into a big positive for him. This experience made Dr. Hawkins realize he would like to have a career that enables him to do the same for others.
His treatment philosophy is decidedly conservative and emphasizes single-phase treatment whenever possible. He maximizes clinical efficiency by using the latest orthodontic hardware technology to result in shorter treatment times and fewer office visits for patients and their families.
Dr. Hawkins loves being active in the Issaquah and Sammamish communities where he lives and works. He enjoys living life to the fullest with his three sons. When he is out of the office during the colder months, Dr. Hawkins can often be found skiing, snowshoeing, cheering on the Seahawks or his several college athletic teams. Summer is all about hiking, climbing and camping, often with Sammamish Boy Scout Troop 696. He also loves going to summer concerts. His favorite music venue is The Gorge Amphitheater near his eastern Washington roots. So beautiful!

Our son had an expansion appliance installed in the roof of his mouth. All of the staff was very kind and helpful before, during, and after the process. He was experiencing some discomfort a few days later and they immediately made time for him. Great place to take your kids for orthodontics work.

I have been receiving orthodontic treatment from Dr. Hawkins for the past two years and am grateful for his knowledge, professionalism, caring attitude and kindness. I came into his care as a "senior" with teeth out of alignment and bite closure issues. I am now in the retention phase of the Invisalign program and am delighted with my progress. Hawkins Orthodontics is an open space approach to treating patients and the atmosphere is comforting, reassuring and always beautifully and tastefully decorated. And, I cannot say enough about the Hawkins Team. From the minute you walk through the front door to the minute you walk out, you are with the friendliest, most capable, and most helpful staff of personnel you'll ever want to meet. They themselves are another strong reason to seek treatment from Dr. Hawkins. Young or old, I highly recommend Hawkins Orthodontics.

Great orthodontist and great office staff! Dr.Hawkins is very patient, gentle and always explain in simple terms on what to expect with your ortho journey. My eldest is nearing the end of his ortho journey and will be getting his braces off hopefully soon. It has been easy, painless and smooth. My daughter's journey is much more complex. She is right now going thru the expander process which honestly sounded so much scarier than what our experience has been. It's been easy and pain free as well. The staff supporting Dr. Hawkins are all very kind, accommodating and professional. Especially Anne! Even when I've messed up on my schedule (more than once ) and would be a "no show" they were gracious, forgiving and quick to reschedule. I honestly cannot recommend a better orthodontic office than Hawkins Ortho!

Hawkins Orthodontics is amazing! The atmosphere is always so cheerful. I remember coming in for the first time and how nervous I was. But after seeing the colorful decorations and smiling faces, I felt so much better. There are always fun contests and treats it makes coming in for a checkup so enjoyable. The staffs are always so welcoming too!

They are excellent professional, and so so kind with kids, I recommend them to all my friends because they are awesome. They are as well some important part of our community, kids can look for hidden rocks and win prices! This is so magical for them! My daughter has a spacer and they did an amazing job, they have excellent recommendations and always put the kids need first. They are very people oriented which is very important! I really only have positive things to say about them!

Every visit we have had here has been so pleasant. Today when my daughter walked in for only the second time she was greeted by name. They offer rewards for kids following their plan. They have been wonderful at explaining every step of the process to us. While braces may not be fun, they make it easy I highly recommend Hawkins Ortho!!

We have had a wonderful experience with Hawkins Orthodontics so far. They were incredibly thorough and welcoming during our initial appointment. I really like how they explained in detail what my daughter's her current issues were and their suggested approach. All the staff is incredibly friendly. My daughter has already progressed a lot with her headgear.

They always have something special sitting on the waiting table, I can never wait to find out what's the new thing! Everyone here is very nice and generous with their celebratory gifts. The place itself is very cheerful, especially because there are sunflowers everywhere! I believe there's nothing really unenjoyable about Hawkins orthodontist. Thank you for the clinic! All the staff in the office is super amazing! Ann at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. They are always on time. Dr. Hawkins always takes time to clearly explain everything. And the office is decorated differently every time we go! Super fun.
