Dentistry is a very fun and rewarding profession. The opportunity to solve patients healthcare problems and establishing personal relationships with them is very rewarding. It is fun being in a dental practice that has been around for more than 30 years, because it allows me to see patients that I know and have been important in my life, whether it be my kindergarten teacher or former pediatrician!

Welcome to our practice! I am the office manager here, and help patients with financial and insurance management. I have been in the dental field for 31 years, and have worked in this office the entire time! I enjoy working here, and getting to know our patients on a personal basis. Both our doctors are down to earth and easy to work for, and our patients are served with the highest quality of work available! I am married to my husband, John, and we have one son named Christopher, and daughters named Jessica and Jennifer.

As a dental hygienist, I assist with cleaning teeth, X-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, and most importantly, patient education. I have worked with Dr. Hawkins since 2000. I am a people person and I love meeting the patients and their families, and helping them with their dental needs. I love working with these doctors because they truly care about their patients. I have been married to Mike for 23 years. We have two sons named Mike Jr. and Clarke. We also have two weimaraners, Halsey and Hudson.

Hi, its nice to meet you! I work as a dental hygienist cleaning teeth, helping with sealants, taking X-rays, educating patients in proper homecare and explaining possible treatments to patients. I have been in the dental field and in this office for more than 25 years. The best part of my job is helping patients, and knowing that I may have made a difference in their lives. Brett is my husband, and we have two daughters. I enjoy listening to music, going to the beach, and going to new restaurants with friends.

As a dental assistant, I help with chairside procedures, sterilization, lab work, and making patients feel comfortable. I have been in this office since it opened in 1978! The best part of my job is interacting with patients and giving them the best possible care. I am proud of the dental work that happens in our office, and I feel that our doctors give the best possible care. My husband, Reggie, and I have two daughters, Laura and Caroline, and a son named Ryan.

I am a hygiene assistant, and my duties include greeting and seating patients, updating medical history, taking X-rays and photos, and giving children balloons! Its a pleasure working for two doctors who are respected by the community and who both care for their patients well-being. My husband, Keith, and I have one son named Zack, two daughters named Haley and Allison, and a son-in-law, Russell! I am very excited about becoming a grandmother in May!

As a dental assistant, I help our dentists with chairside dental treatments, and always do my best to make each patient feel at home and relaxed. I have been working in the field since 1980, and in this office since 1982. Both our doctors always explain procedures they are going to perform, and make sure the patient is comfortable at all times. They discuss treatment options with the patients, and help the patient to choose rather than dictating what will be done. My family includes my loving husband, our two grown daughters, two dogs and three cats.

Dr. Hawkins graduated from Emory University and attended Post Graduate School at the University of Georgia. Afterwards, he graduated from the Emory School of Dentistry in 1978, and moved back to Gainesville to begin his practice.

Dr. Hawkins truly enjoys helping people and receives great satisfaction by improving their health. We get to know our patients, not just as patients, but as friends we see at church, civic organizations, or in the community. I now see the children of the patients who were children when they first came to our practice, and its truly amazing to know multiple generations of our local families.

I find it most rewarding when a patient smiles and says thank you. Success is the satisfaction of being proud of what you do and the enjoyment of doing it. In our practice, we treat the whole person, not just their teeth. This means we see our patients as individuals with specific needs and priorities, and we take the time to listen to them. It also means that we pay attention to how their oral health coincides with their overall health. Many times a lack of oral hygiene leads to more serious problems, and we want to help our patients live long, healthy lives
