I hate leaving bad reviews for small businesses, but my experience here was the worst. I came in for just a cleaning, but they had to do some kind of initial exam, and after that, said they only had time to clean a quarter of my mouth and I'd have to come back. I had to come back 2 more times to get my teeth cleaned, and each time I had to pay the co-pay! Now they're still trying to bill me for the initial exam that they told me would be covered by insurance. I have never had a dentist clean only a quarter of my teeth at a time, it's ridiculous! And when I went to another dentist four months later, she told me it looked like my teeth hadn't been cleaned in a year.

Dr. Doi is a fine dentist and one of the best I have ever had. The most important thing is for one to trust one's dentist. Dr. Doi earns that trust with ease. Lee

I have been going to Dr Doi for many years.. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the wholistic way he works.. He stays on top of the latest information. I highly recommend working with him.

Dr Doi is the best dentist I've ever had, his front office staff and hygienist's are 10/10. I've had a few bad experiences at other dentists in Hawaii, Dr Doi is definitely my favorite!

To say that I am delighted with the care I've received from Dr. Doi and his staff is an understatement. I travel between Big Island and the mainland and have continued my care on the mainland at a practice I've been going to over 30 years. But, inevitably, things come up while I'm here. The first time I needed to see someone I called Dr. Doi's office and was shocked to receive a return call from him personally! I appreciate the holistic approach in a modern, very up to date office. I trust him and his staff completely. Ditto to all the positive comments left by others - friendly staff, short wait time, concerned follow up. Highly recommend Dr. Doi!

We were looking for a dentist after moving to the big island. The first one didn't work our at all. Then we tried Dr. Hartwell. Great and professional service!!! We can highly recommend Hawaii Hollistic Dentisry!

Absolutely the best dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Doi is amazing. Zero pain, VERY knowledgeable, and very holistic - he's not just towing the ADA's line. So glad to have the mercury out of my mouth that the ADA is STILL allowing dentists to put in. Doi knows better. If you're looking for a great dentist, look no further.

Being treated by David Doy, DDS change my life in a profound way. I had 8 silver fillings, which I have learned had mercury in them. I had also had 4 vaccines the year before, not realizing they had mercury in them. I also had had a galvanic facial treatment which caused a huge release of mercury from my filling. I was under the care of a naturopath on Kauai that found I had one of the highest rates of mercury poisoning that he had ever seen. He recommended I go to the Big Island and have my 8 amalgams changed out by David Doy. He assured me that Doy took great precautions to protect his clients and staff when doing such work. I went to Doy and had all 8 fillings changed out for composite fillings over a 3 day period. I was also doing chelation and a dietary program to help gently clear the mercury. On the day I had my last filling changed out something changed permanently. A cloud lifted off me that has never come back. Prior to that I couldn't visualize growing old, I could not imagine a long life! When that cloud lifted off me I suddenly felt creativity, Hope, and I could visualize a long healthy life!!! It was like a switch was flipped. This was back in 2000, 20 years ago and I continue to be blessed by my visit to him. I had no negative side affects whatsoever. I can honestly say it was life giving. Thank you Dr David Doy, DDS! Lucinda

Hawai'i Holistic Dentistry is such a wonderful place. The doctors are professional and caring. The nurses call to follow up on how everything is going. The front office staff are very loving and supportive. Such a great experience everytime.
