Hawaii Dental Clinic was founded as a small, one-dentist office in 1983 by Dr. Roger T.L. Wong. From the beginning of the practice, Dr. Roger and his team were committed to providing high-quality care to all patients. Over the resulting decades, the office grew to accommodate multiple doctors, hygienists, and administrative staff.
Today, Hawaii Dental Clinic is a fully modern dental facility. We employ digital diagnostic equipment such as the Orthoralix DDE Panoramic system, Gendex digital sensors, intra-oral cameras, and an integrated system of X-Rays and patient charts. Current diagnostic tools enable our dentists and hygienists to identify the true source of dental problems and to accurately diagnose dental-related disease.
Although we have increased our office size over the years, our main office location has always been in the Kukui Plaza commercial plaza at the intersection of South Beretania and Bethel Streets. Our dental office location near Downtown and Chinatown enables us to serve a wide variety of patients who live and work near the heart of Honolulu.
Our front office staff is knowledgeable regarding all forms of dental insurance. We would be happy to analyze your current insurance and provide you with an estimate of cost prior to receiving treatment. For patients without insurance, our fees are set at a usual, customary, and reasonable amount determined by major dental insurance companies nationwide.

Dr. Wong truly puts his heart into his work. His aesthetic eye and professional hand give me back my 16 y/o beautiful smile (I'm in my 60's now) and I can now eat normally. My landlady is so impressed by his work that she wants to become his patient asap!

They took me on an emergency basis and were absolutely amazing! From the initial phone call to when I left the clinic, it just great experience. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Dr. Wong and his staff really strive to make your visit as pleasant as a visit to the dentist can be. Dr. Wong is very easy to talk to and takes the time to explain all options, and listens when you have concerns. I personally am embarrassed of my teeth and Dr. Wong and his staff really put me at ease, and didn't make me feel really no judgement, and plenty understanding which I super appreciate. Dr. Wong and his staff are very knowledgeable, very efficient, very patient with the patient, and get a 5 star rating fo sho!!! I highly recommend them.

Best dental office i have ever been too ! They were able to take me asap. The dentist (Wong) and everyone on the kihei team is amazing! I am terrified when it comes to the dentist. But they make you feel so comfortable. Very awesome staff! I will only be going here for any other dental needs!

My lady was super nice made me feel comfortable The Whole time super friendly staff all so welcoming and the Dr was amazing gave me great advice and awesome service ! Highly recommend nice , small little office Right in the beginning of kihei .

First time I saw the dentist as it was an emergency visit. And although I've had a fear of dentists, after today's visit my confidence has been restored. Dr. Wong and his team are very kind and knowledgeable. The experience was great. Feeling grateful.

I have always been terrified of the dentist, but Dr. S and his assistant, Maria have been a godsend! I now actually enjoy going to the dentist. The facility is immaculate, they can always squeeze you in, and definitely put you at ease. If you're one of the many people on this island without insurance, they even have an insurance plan you can purchase for 20 bucks a month! The staff is always masked up and so professional. Don't sleep on this office. They are, without a doubt, the best on the island !

They have been around a long time and know what they are doing The dentist that worked on me was better with his tools then any other the i have visited And They had excellent covid19 safety protocol. DO NOT GO HERE! This is not a real dental office - the staff are not required to wear masks, the dental "exam" and "cleaning" took maybe 10 minutes. They ended up recommending I fill two cavities and get 4 sealants, urging me to get it done that day. It is a good thing I said no and left that office because after seeing a real dentist, I don't need any of their suggested work done. THEY COULD HAVE DRILLED INTO AND DAMAGED MY TEETH FOREVER! Thankfully I left when I did and didn't catch COVID-19 from their non mask wearing receptionist.

Awesome!! I love having a perfectionist as my dentist!!! I am finally smiling again with a perfect white smile! Thank you Dr. S you and Maria are awesome! I am completely satisfied with all the work I have had done from them!! The clinic is hygienically clean, staff are professional and kind! Dr. S also filled my 7 yr old daughters cavities with no restraints. He was awesome. My daughter was happy.

I went for a cleaning and check up. The assistant Maria is AMAZING!! This office is very clean. I felt very comfortable in this office and my teeth were cleaned properly. I am well pleased. Everyone is wearing a mask and the team here are all very kind, patient and professional. Thank you again.

We live on Maui and have had a tough time finding a dental group to call home. My husband and I are impressed with Hawaii Dental Clinic and even love their logo! But most importantly the staff has been really good. Dr Harod does great work. Many of the hygienist I don't remember their names, but they have all been great. We can usually get on the schedule in 2 weeks. They've been flexible when I need to reschedule and don't make me wrong. I've had extractions, cleaning, chipped tooth issues, and my husband has neglected teeth that they are now getting into better health.

I had a wonderful experience throughout my tooth cleaning. I was nervous because it had been quite a while since my last visit to the dentist but the staff was amazing and made the visit seamless! Maria was awesome and super helpful with telling me how to up keep on my teeth post cleaning. Dr. S was super great in making sure I got my appointment for my cavity fill and wisdom teeth removal all set up. Thank you!
